I walk in and the store is somewhat busy for the holiday rush. I walk to the line and wait patiently. After 20 minutes waiting I finally get to the front. I wanted to trade an Apple TV and purchase a new game. I was told I couldn’t process the trade even though it says they can online. The clerk said only the northgate and Bellevue stores accept the Apple TV and they couldn’t help me. After I left I called a couple other stores and every employee said that all stores accept Apple TV for trade and that the original clerk was either lying or very misinformed. I will not be revisiting this store or giving them my business and I would encourage others not to visit as well. BUYERBEWARE

Customer service was terrible. Waited second in line for 15 minutes because the associate didn’t know what she was doing. The gentleman in front of me was preordering a game, even after getting help from her manager it took an additional 10 minutes to finish checking him out. I have never waited that long in line at a game stop to be helped. The store wasn’t even busy there was only like 3 or 4 people including those looking around. Will not be shopping here again and I don’t recommend you do either if you value your time and money.

As the mom of a game-obsessed 9-year old boy(and a moderate gamer myself) I frequent GameStop, well, frequently. I have shopped at many GS locations in the area, and this GameStop is by far my favorite. Why? Because the staff is just so friendly and helpful and PATIENT. My son always has old games to trade in, new games he wants, and zillions of questions about everything. The cashiers at this store just take it all in stride, talk with him directly, point out the pros and cons of what he is considering getting, and so on. I think they provide great customer service, and that is the reason I return to Game Stop again and again, despite often lower prices on games at other places. Thumbs up!

I’ve dealt with his GameStop long enough and today was the end point. I’ve never had such a terrible customer service experience. So displeased that I was serious about writing this review. Today, I brought my friend who is of LEGAL age to purchase Titanfall. He was ID’d and he didn’t have his ID so they told him he was unable to get it. Okay, COMPLETELY understandable. I went inside to purchase the game for my friend with my ID. I was asked for my rewards card number, and gave it to the young lady. I’ve used it for years, several times a year, and I’ve NEVER had a problem with using it until today. She tells me that the number isn’t mine and that I can’t use it…(Okay, why did you ask me, I don’t need it then so …). After purchasing the game, I received a smart remark of, «I hope your friend has fun with the game.» I know it was obvious that I was purchasing the game for my friend, but my friend is of legal age and he doesn’t look like he is the under the age of 18 in any way, shape or form. I completely understand that is company policy to card their customers, but the employee’s smart remark was unnecessary and RUDE. I really wish I could have told her to f*ck off. Even when I tried to pick up my preorder game and cancel the online one I reserved, they still gave me a very difficult time. I ended up going to tukwila and those boys handled it fine. All in all, even though I live SOSOSO close to this location, I’d much rather bring myself to the Tukwila location, instead of dealing with the employees at the Renton location. I cannot stand this one. Why is it that when I buy a game I have to get frustrated and go through obstacles here? Why can’t I just buy my game and be on my way. Zero stars for customer service if I could.

due to the power of accompaniment, i have earned the title of «regular» here. yay! i even have a powerup rewards keychain. heh. anyway… i really like this spot. the guys here don’t act like they’re untouchable gods like most of the other locations, and they have the same, probably better, information on the games. my bf likes to come in and chat about upcoming games, new releases, and gameplay strategies. i… well… i’ll listen or browse the wii & ds selections. i’m more of a mario or LBP kinda gal. …go sackboy! it’s conveniently located by little caesars, safeway, and the best teriyaki in renton. because of that there’s always ample parking, and it’s never ridiculously crowded.
