Harrington Square Apartments

This is not a good place to live since there are lots of people who smoke weeds. It smells all over the garage and elevator. All you can smell in this apartment is weeds. The dryer is killing all my shirts and blouse and we ask for help for months and it’s never been fixed.

Good place to live. They have really cleaned the place up since the first of the year. The new management staff are very friendly and helpful. At least Dani has been great.
All the floors have new carpet, they have been staying on top of the garbage chutes, sending out reviews for local establishments, and the community team is great!
Hope they review their price points this year, and look at updating the storage rooms. I think most of the people that were breaking into cars have either moved or the new security measures have paid off.

This review is in response to the management’s comments. I do not dispute that notice was given that work was being done in the garage. However, we also gave y’all notice that we were going to be out of town, which you acknowledge. We left to go out of town as we told you you would and you were responsible for removing vehicles from our parking spots and not returning them, which was the directly responsible act for the eventual towing. I don’t understand what we could have done otherwise, short of not park our cars in the garage during our extended vacation — which would have not been an appropriate expectation for residents who pay good money for the use of the garage.

Harrington Square had my car towed today because it was parked in front of 3.5 foot x 2.5 foot piece of metal that was on the sidewalk. There are no signs saying it was handicapped. In fact there is no sign anywhere saying you could not park there much less that it would be towed but that was their explanation to me. The fact that I got a notice saying a neighbor saw me smoking and I don’t smoke and I was given notice about my barking dogs of which I don’t have any is irritating. My rent was recently raised 125.00 which was ridiculous. If I want to park in the underground garage it costs 45.00 a month. Very shady that Harrington lets the City of Renton and Safeway provide parking to their residents who choose to save some money and maybe can’t spend any more. I’ve felt more at home in tent. The apartments are nice inside but save your dignity and go somewhere they actually want you to stay!

My elderly parents are hardworking residents that have been at this complex for years despite unsavory neighbors, various management change overs, and after reading some of these reviews, much more. The facilities seem lovely enough but sadly, the Greystar Management staff they have at this location lack courteousness, customer-​facing communication skills and ethics.
After calling the offices to clarify a situation, Keshia (Assistant Manager) constantly spoke over me and seemed very entitled and determined to impose her story upon me rather than help me or help resolve the situation. This was all too similar to the story my mother also told me.
I called to gladly mediate a dispute on behalf of my elderly parents and resolve a seeming misunderstanding but sadly I ended up being talked down to and repeatedly interrupted.
If luxury is the name of the game – standards are high. Respectful communication and courteousness is not amenities available to residents at Harrington Square.

Current resident… Will not be renewing lease! The building is not kept up as far as cleanliness, the hallways smell of garbage and the carpet is disgusting. To the point of being embarrassed to invite company over. The extra charges for valet garbage pickup and use of the garage easily add an extra hundred onto your base rent. Cars are often broken into in the garage. The apartments could be better if management would get on top of things.

Place looks great and sounds good when moving in. Staff is always changing and never seems able to do their jobs. they tested the fire alarms and didnt give any notice to the residents. I work graveyards and have a dog. She was freaking out the alarms were killing my ears. So i couldnt imagine how my dog felt. I had to sit oustside while it was raining for two hours. They said they sent a email but never recieved one. i asked why they did not post a flyer in the elevators (Where they normaly post info). Their response copy machine is broken the library is two minutes away.
Ive been harassed by residents here. My garage clicker was stolen out of my car. They never refill the doggy poop bags distributor back up. peoples dogs poop in the hallways and in the parking garage. I stepped in it on the way to the car. And peoples dog poop all up and down the sidewalks. People throw trash allover the bottom parking garage because they never take out the trash. The downstairs neighbors throw trash and food in the front lawn on the back side. People are constantly loud in the south tower late @ Night during the week. People throw away printers and cat post etc in the trash chute so you cant even get to it to throw away your own trash. I rented out a room for friends and family to stay in. I found someones nasty bloody maxi pad in the bathroom and nasty old food in the fridge. I never said anything just cleaned up the place for my fam. Later when i rented out the community center. They blamed me for thrashing the bathrooms. They were dirty before we got there and I had to supply the bathrooms with my
own toilet paper for my guest because they were not filled. And they had to nerve to threaten me to take my deposit lol. Oh and they had a problem with is having alcohol. Which i was never told we couldnt have. And would see a group of people having a keg of beer in their once a month at one point and they also had their dogs in the community center. I was told i couldnt have mine in there of course. And out of all the stuff the staff never finds time to do they always make time to take a walk and put a notice on your door to let you know your cooler on your balcony is against the rules lol. 1740 dollars a month with utilities. This is what you get. Pure hell!

STAY AWAY CON ARTIST!!!
My wife and I moved into Harrington Square 6 months ago. It started off fine with everyone being very nice and helpful but once the new wore off (one month) It was horrible. Were do I start, garage and grounds are not secure, gun shots nightly with police sirens nightly. If you don’t want to pay for cable and see an episode of cop just look outside around 9−10pm. There walls are super thin I can hear my upstairs neighbors pee, shower and watch X rated films. The dog park is just a fenced off doggie litter box with wood chips no one picks up their dogs poop and they roll their dumpster out in front of it so you have to walk you and your dog across broken glass and even crack needles!!! They just got a new manager Brittney and she must be right out of high school because she has no idea how to run a building since she allows her staff to double rent parking spots and then have my car towed!!! and laughs about it the following day when we come down to the office to speak to hear about it. With all of our issues we’re planning on moving out at the end of the month and just pay the remainder two months rent just to stop be harassed and discriminated against. So if you have no brain and don’t care about crime or safety please come and rent here they’ll gladly take your money and treat you like shit!!!

Where to begin.
Now this portion will be based off of move out only. They are part of Riverstone residential group and let me say Heather the AR for Riverstone has absolutely no respect for customers. I received an invoice from Riverstone for almost $ 200 I wanted to clarify a couple of charges on the invoice and all I got in return was an attitude and a response of you just need to pay it. There was no room for explanation to clarification. I’m an accountant so I can usually figure out an invoice or two but this invoice from them made no sense. So I got a hold of the girls in the office and they are helping me understand the invoice from the AR girl.
The girls in the office are very nice.
However I agree with the review about the washer and dryer so loud and took forever to dry a load of clothes.
If you have a dog beware of the dog park they have and the surrounding grass areas. It seemed like no one there picked up after their dog so disgusting.

Filthy carpets. «We clean them more than twice a year! We clean them almost quarterly.» Really? «We walk the building weekly.» Three women are sitting in the office right now. Maybe one could walk the building daily? We will move when our lease is up. This place is not maintained at all.

Great design concept, horrible sound proofing floors and walls. Staff not that knowledgable of the actual structure of the buildings. Not as friendly after they lock u into ur lease and have u money. Over priced and crowded street parking! W/​D included but makes noise like your drying rocks! I am definitely NOT re-​signing my lease! this place looks nice but the ratchet ppl they rent to? negative! Wish I didn’t have to leave a star to rate this hole.

Sadly Mgmt does not take care of existing residents; only interested in new ones. Building looks great on outside, paper thin walls and floors on inside, maintenance man is extremely rude, I’ve made 3 complaints about apt S318 and how loud they are, no resolution, area manager Lori Crabtree refuses to call anyone back, I guess she doesn’t understand who pays her salary, oh, but they really want good reviews, in fact if you do not turn in their yearly review they call and call asking you to score them high. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. This place is lipstick on a pig, overrated, and you’re just a number. Unless you are ok with zero cabinet space in bathroom, crappy area around apt complex, unfriendly and non responsive Mgmt FULL of excuses why they can’t call you back then this may be your place…
