Amazing parking. Huge lot I never waste time hunting for a spot. Country music pumps through the speakers and peanut shells are on the floor. Food is great. Steaks!!! Get a steak. Surprising is its called jimmy macs but they don’t have Mac n cheese. Bread and honey butter is always eaten fast so ask your server to bring you an extra basket to start when you order drinks. Bathrooms clean Ambiance is filled with interesting decore cluttered on the walls. Tv’s are seen throughout so date night is still doable during peak sports season. It’s our official send off restaurant before taking people to the airport. One of the few hidden a gems of Renton

Very accommodating to individual tastes. Great service and very good food. Very good crab cakes and the Texas sausage plate was very tasty. They bend over backwards to take care of you.

The biscuits are enough to make me come back all the way from California! Everything here was awesome, I left so full and can’t believe I keep doing that to myself.

A great dinner here Salmon was delicious, mushrooms amazing, steaks cooked perfectly and the rolls awesome as ever! Service was on point and for a Saturday night, we didn’t wait for a table for 4. Always enjoy eating here.

This place is okay. I didn’t set high expectations purposely. The goal was to get something really local to get the local taste. The place felt more like something that came out of Oklahoma but the food tasted like something out of TGI Fridays. Locals seem to support and love this place. So as much as I enjoyed getting away from the city restaurants I probably will only do this once for the experience. I give it three for the service and the local feel.

Lots of old timers waiting for this place to be open at 11am. But it’s proven to me that this joint is just good. Prompt service and solid good food with big portions. Free wifis for workaholics

I’m writing this review beccause my dad doesn’t know how to use Unilocal and loves this place. I think every time he picks a place for dinner it’s here. Starting off, yes you get peanuts while you wait and yes you throw the shells on the floor. People love this. They also have the best homemade rolls with honey butter I’ve ever had. This place is all about the barbecue. From the ribs to the chicken and pulled pork. Excellent. The sides are great too. Everything is perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended.

I loved this place. So sad that it’s not a place that I can access regularly being from CA. The environment is super casual but service is great. My party delayed ordering while I took the little ones to use the restroom and we never felt rushed. Food came quickly after ordering and our server made sure before walking away that our steaks were cooked to our liking(they were perfect, by the way). The steak doesn’t need sauce and even the less expensive cuts are tender and juicy(no gristle either). Rolls are good but stick to one or two if you plan on eating your dinner! DONOTPASSONTHECRAWFISHCHOWDER!!! That stuff is untouchable! Really hearty, you can taste the crawfish in the soup base, and the seasoning level is perfect.

We only waited 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Not bad. The place was full too. It’s been years since I’ve been here. Not sure why I waited so long. ?? Maybe because you get a lot of food??? Maybe because you get yummy honey rolls? Or maybe I just forgot how much fun it was to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. We had a great time, our service was warm and friendly. A little loud but that’s to be expected in an open restaurant with a country theme. We will not wait so long next time.

My boyfriend and I had one of our first dates here, so I have always thought highly of this place. Yesterday though, I was disappointed. We treat ourselves to the crawfish chowder now and then. Our chowder yesterday was so different then previous. There was very little crawfish. I had one tiny piece. The to go cups we half full. Which maybe what the portion is now, but when you are excited for the cup to be full, it’s a huge let down. Maybe we went on an off day. The service was good!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Service and the food was amazing. We had the sirlon steak and rib combo meal. Our waiter was super nice and accommodating offering us bread and peanuts multiple times without us asking. The food was very flavorful and portions were large. I would definitely come back to this restaurant. The butter for the bread is to die for, be sure to try it!

We have stopped in here several times now. I was either to busy or forgot to leave a review… Lame huh? Anyway each time the food had been good and the service as well. Best part we get to toss our peanut shells on the floor! Happy hour is always good… They also give you a nice basket of sweet rolls and butter on your way in and will give you more. House Armadillo Amber is nice(25oz is even nicer!)… I honestly have not had anything I would not order again. For sure try the crawfish chowder… Its very good!

Eh, wasn’t anything to rave about. I had the pulled pork, chicken teriyaki, mashed potatoes and beans. I wanted coleslaw but the waitress told me it wasn’t good. I appreciated her honesty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were way too salty. The pulled pork was good but way too dry. I really liked the chicken teriyaki. Fun atmosphere, except I feel bad for whoever has to clean all those peanuts off the floor every night. I may or may not be back. I’ve had better food elsewhere.

I don’t know why I bother coming back here Everything about this place is mediocre. The food, the service, the lackluster ambiance. And I hate country music. It must be because I hate driving, and it’s close to my house. Everything is overpriced for what it is. I think the only thing worth coming for is the steamed vegetables.

Quite fine. I had the pulled pork and half slack of baby ribs with sweet potato fries and coleslaws. The food was a bit too sweet and the pulled pork is very dry, way too dry. The service was great. Peanuts in the floor was not expected, but it was kinda cool.

I just love this place. Peanuts on the floor, bottomless hot rolls and honey butter, stuffed grouse on the wall, it just doesn’t get better than this! I have never had a bad experience here. Probably because throwing the peanut shells is therapeutic to me! I have a feeling that God invented mushrooms just because he knew Jimmy Mac’s would make them as good as they do. Their sweet potato fries are wonderful. The teriyaki steak is out of this world. Their baby back ribs are loaded with tender meat. They have a pick two entrée deal right now and we got a half rack of ribs($ 17.75 on the menu) and a full serving of pulled pork($ 15ish) with two sides for $ 23. It was more than enough to fill up my wife and I. We actually only got through half of the entrée before we were full! Great waitresses. Good country music, and I never say that. Can’t wait to come back! Side note: my wife and I love the show Fresh Off The Boat. This place reminds us of the restaurant in the show. We loved that!
