This is a great place to get work done on your car. Omar is very helpful and friendly. You don’t feel intimidated going in there. More than once I go in and tell him what I think needs to be fixed, and when he checks the car and finds it doesn’t need to be done, he let’s me know. Doesn’t do it anyway just to charge. Prices are very reasonable and the work is great. This is my mechanic of choice.

I got my AC fixed here a few years ago right before moving to TX. 3 other shops quoted me a price of 3k but Kenny’s did it for $ 500 and found away around getting a body shop to pull the grill back a little from a previous accident (which was why it was priced so high at other places).

Omar and his team were awesome. I parked my car on the street by the shop one morning because it was making horrendous noises and noxious fumes. Later that afternoon I went over there and talked with Omar. Because it was Thursday afternoon before the 4^th of July weekend they wouldn’t have time to look at it until Monday. He called me as soon as they were done assessing it with the news that the motor needed to be replaced. He called around and got the best deal for me. When the work was done and I picked up my car I noticed there was a fuel smell in the cab of the car and it was running kind of rough. I drove it right back over. Omar and his guys stayed past closing time to get the issue resolved and even put some gas back in it since at least ½ a gallon had leaked all over their parking lot. They went the extra mile to take care of my car and get the work done quickly! I have found my new mechanic and will refer anyone oh needs work done to them!

All I want is honesty from a mechanic and that’s exactly what I got from Kenny auto. I broke down at 745am towed truck to shop at 10am and was out the door at 12:15 with a new alternator and battery. Nice job guys appreciate the honesty and quick service.

Great service. I caught a flat on my way home Thanksgiving night. By the time I made it home my tire was nearly off of the wheel. Fortunately Kenny’s is across the street from me so I went over to them first thing the next morning. They were nice enough to come over to my garage and throw a spare on my car so I could even drive over to their shop where they repaired my tire. Just so happens that I was due for my 30k maintenance and they were able to take care of that for me as well for much cheaper that what I would have paid at the dealership.
Oh, and the charge for coming over to my garage…$ 0. I happily gave them a nice tip because service that good should be rewarded.

Good news! They have not gone out of business, just moved. Their new address is 901 Harrington Avenue NE, up in the Highlands area, by Safeway. Same phone number.

I’ve taken my car to Tony’s for several years now. It’s great to have honest mechanics who not only treat you like you’re an intelligent human being, but they don’t overcharge. I’ve had my tires replaced there, I’ve had alignment work done, oil changes. Pretty much everything I’ve asked if they could do, they did. A great business!

Before they became too busy, they were my one stop shop for all my car needs. They were friendly, honest, and had great deals for your automotive needs. They’ve been through name changes but I believe it’s still owned and ran by Tony. They are prompt and don’t sucker you into hidden charges.

Did a quickie oil change here when they had their special for about $ 23 dollars. Service person was efficient and they finished in roughly 35 mins. Good service based on that visit.

Get this out there: I hate spending money on car repairs or servicing… but you have to do your preventative maintenance somewhere.
I checked the dealer’s service department for the cost of «normal scheduled maintenance» for our car and got a figure in the $ 800‑1000 range. Deciding to check around, I found a coupon for Tony’s in the coupon mailer we get one or two times a month. (Note: I knew a coworker who’d been satisfied by Tony’s work before). I spoke to them and with the coupon, got a price of $ 200 for a 60K mile tune-​up (mostly fluid and filter changes, some adjustments, and checking systems) and a full (auto) transmission fluid servicing.
While the car was at the shop, their tech found our rear brakes and rotors were shot (something I heard common for our make and mode of vehicle) to the tune of about $ 230 more parts and labor, plus, the injector body/​intake had gunk in there that’d be better off with a $ 89 additive and/​or flushing of some sort (this is the only snake oil part of the appointment — but I thought I’d try it, as the fuel economy of the car was suffering a bit lately and possibly slightly fouled injectors could be a part of the cause). So, by now, with the added services, the bill jumped a bit north of $ 500.
I rate this as a positive experience for these reasons: 1) I still saved $ 300 – 500 off of what I could have spent at a dealer but got more done on the car, 2) I felt they dealt with things in an honest and straight-​forward fashion, 3) the car was ready on-​time ahead of when promised… took just a few hours.
Tony’s is a full-​service place with ability to work on all automotive systems, including brakes, tires, etc. The only thing they don’t do (that you’d need to go to a dealer for) is «driveability» problems according to one of their staff.
The location is right next to the Downtown Renton Transit Center. Perfect for if you possibly could go Metro or Sound Transit to work after you drop off your ride for service. Also, this place is walking distance to many interesting shops, coffee (and cupcake) houses, wine bars, and restaurants (Indian, Phở, Mexican, Italian, Thai, etc.) so you could spend your day taking in the sights in Renton for an afternoon while your car gets looked over.
