King & Bunny’s Appliances

I would not buy an appliance from anywhere else after dealing with the folks at King and Bunny’s. We needed all new appliances for a kitchen remodel and decided to check in with these guys based on seeing a TV commercial about a «whammer deal». What we found was that their prices were indeed reasonable, but it was the product knowledge and great customer service that made us realize we were in the right place. Jason (salesperson) seemed less interested in how fast he could sell us something and more interested in how these appliances would best suit our needs when it came to our kitchen remodel. Jason wound up recommending a less expensive solution once he assessed what we really needed.
Good honest family run place here with high quality products. I would recommend to anyone.

I’m a customer a long time in the making. In 2009 after a really bad experience with Sears over a washer/​dryer set my wife and I decided to give K&B a try after not finding what we wanted between Lowe’s and HD. The experience was good and the prices were fair.
Jump forward 7 years, the washer is wore out and we are shopping again. We had our eye on a Maytag closeout floor model at HD with Consumer Report top reviews. We would have bought it if they would have included the standard free delivery. Nothing doing. No free delivery on closeout — not even at $ 900… Ok, fair enough. I’m still considering the purchase until the young sales woman was smug to the point of making my otherwise mild mannered wife mad. No. Sale.
Stopped into K&B today and they were offering the next Maytag model up — brand new for $ 50 more with free delivery & haul away! Sold baby! We picked up a new disposal and the pedestal too. Really great experience and Scott was super fantastic, knowledgeable, and not pushy.
I’ve been done with Sears appliances for 7 years. Won’t ever go back. Now I’ll check Lowes/​HD and the web but I’ll be buying from King & Bunny’s.

First time to purchase from this store… Small family store been around a long time so thought we’d try it out for the purchase of a new refrigerator. The sales person, Scott, was very knowledgeable with no up sale push which was very refreshing after visiting 2 Sears appliance stores where both sales persons were CLUELESS about their products! We also purchased the extended 5 year warranty at ¼ of the price Sears charges at OUR suggestion K&B did not push this purchase either! The delivery went well, on time, my hardwoods were protected they hauled the old one away all for no charge (Sears $ 75 delivery, $ 25 to haul old fridge away). 24 hours into the new Fridge and its GREAT! This is nothing like a big box store, trust me!

Yay! Peter answered all our questions about washers and dryers. They beat Lowes by a mile on price. Super nice.
They did free delivery and removal of our old appliances.
I’m over the moon about how easy it was. I’ll be back when something else breaks!

My wife and I love our new appliances.
Went it for an emergency oven replacement three days before thanksgiving and also was in the market for a new dishwasher. Jason helped greatly in understanding the various features associated with each appliance, even talked me into a lower cost unit based on better understanding our needs, and delivered me the floor model unit of the oven I wanted to ensure I had the ability to cook on Thanksgiving the following day.
In a bit of a panic, I thought we were having some issues with operation of the oven. It turns out it was a false alarm and the oven is fine, but I had emailed Jason after hours concerned and he returned my call at 9pm that night, the day before Thanksgiving, noting he wanted to meet me at the store early the next morning to set me up with a temporary solution to ensure our holiday was a success
With customer service like that, and competitive prices to go with it, I can’t think of a reason why I’d ever hit Sears/​Home Depot/​Lowes for an appliance ever again.

I called these guys after Lowes and Home Depot could not get me the cooktop I wanted in the time frame I needed it. I was told they had the cook top in their Spanaway warehouse and I could pick it up that night. Lowes and Home Depot were selling the cook top for 399. When I asked King & Bunny how much the cook top was they told me it was nearly 600. I said to the guy that the product is being sold everywhere else for 399 and asked if he could match that price and he said «you’re the one who needs the cooktop.» I was shocked and that was the end of that conversation.
I then called Albert Lee who had it and initially quoted me that nearly 600 price tag but when I told them what the other stores were selling it for they matched the price. They also didn’t make me drive to the warehouse they had it delivered to the local store early the next day.
King and Bunnies sucks!

We have just moved into a new place and have had a lot of interaction with several companies in the area. Out of all the things we’ve had to go and contract and find services for, King and Bunny’s is the ONLY business we would actually consider to use again.
These guys are great. The service was quick and courteous. They found financing we could agree with. We came for a washer and dryer and they did not hesitate to tell us what the differences were so that we could make our own decision without high pressure sales. They didn’t give us the run around like other showrooms had been doing for weeks.
Their delivery department was on point and delivered exactly on the day, at the right time, installation was quick, and without incident.
Overall, the other companies involved in our move was like King and Bunnies, it would have been stress-​free.
A bright spot in a few months worth of turmoil.

We have lived in Renton for 40 years and as long as I can remember, King and Bunny’s has been part of the Renton business community.
We are in the process of building a new house and I’m so glad we stopped in to inquire about appliances. With so many options these days between the big box stores, we are glad we didn’t look past the local store.
Jason made it so easy for us to pick the right appliances for our requirements. Oh and he doesn’t try to upsell. He listened to our priorities and then helped us find what we needed with no hassle at all.
Pricing was comparable to anywhere else and they helped us maximize the current manufacturer rebates.
Delivery was on time as well.

King and his son Jason (as well as their staff) are so nice, very knowledgable and do a fantastic job with this store. It is a small family owned business so there is no comparison to the big box stores but they will price match if you do your research. They have a good selection in the store and every time I’ve been in there, they have been really busy but still manage good customer service. They offer free deliver AND will take and recycle your old appliances! They are my go to destination for all of my appliance needs.

I have bought an oven, range, 2 washers, dryer, and dishwasher from King & Bunny’s. When I was a high school culinary teacher, we also bought appliances for our classroom from them. I’ve always been happy with their service, selection, and price, but my most recent experience has reinforced that I will be a customer for life.
Customer service is easy when everything goes smoothly. Companies have an opportunity to show their true colors when there’s a problem, and this is a case in point. I bought a dishwasher from King & Bunny’s and it leaked, causing significant water damage. It wasn’t the fault of King & Bunny’s, it was a manufacturer problem. Pete at King & Bunny’s went out of his way to be helpful and make sure that I had what was needed to get the water mitigation done, get the claim information from the manufacturer, connect me with a manufacturer rep when I was getting the corporate runaround, and help with the repairs. Through it all, I kept thinking, «I would never get this kind of service from a big box company.»
As for my other experiences, one of their installers — Jerry — has done our installation several times. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and on-​time. We’ve had delivery service from Randy, who is also professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and on-​time. Notice a pattern here?
Years ago, I bought a refrigerator through Direct Buy, looking to save a few bucks. There was a problem with it, and who could I turn to? The manufacturer? Do you think they were helpful? NO!
When we first moved to the area and built our house, our contractor went through Sears for appliances (I didn’t know about King & Bunny’s at the time). My gas cooktop never worked correctly, despite 3 service calls, so I finally gave up and just lived with it for 13 years. Never again!
A penny wise, a pound foolish… lesson learned!

June 2014, called King and Bunny’s to get the name of the great plumber that they recommended for the hook up to our refrigerator ice maker. Scott remembered me and what I had bought — in May 2013! That is the kind of service you get with the best prices. I regret the purchase of another appliance from a big box store as I had to fight them off about an extended warranty. None of that nonsense here. Just the aplliances, knowledgeable staff, quick and dependable delivery. I am happy to say that, with one exception, everything in our house is from King and Bunny and that will always be the case for the future.

We recently moved to Renton and we needed to get a refrigerator, washer & dryer. I had looked online to see what the prices were at the other nearby stores (Lowe’s, Home Depot, Albert Lee, Sears and a couple others), so when I arrived at King & Bunny’s I already knew what brand and model I wanted and what I was willing to pay.
We were the only customers in the store at first, but a few other people came in after us. Scott was very friendly and helpful — he showed me a refrigerator that was quite a bit larger than the one I had asked for (but it would still fit in our space) and it was only about $ 50 more, so we ordered it. I don’t feel that he was up-​selling us, I think he simply wanted to make us aware of the larger one at a similar price.
We looked at the washer & dryer I had in mind and Scott took a few minutes to go online and see what the other stores’ best price was — and he matched the lowest price.
Also, and I can’t stress this enough — he gave us free delivery and installation, including the hoses, tubes, clamps and drain hose needed (which would have cost us extra everywhere else).
The delivery guys called and said they were running early, so I told them they could come early. They were very careful not to damage anything. When the washer was being installed and they discovered our hot & cold water valves were leaking, they fixed them at no charge.
When they plugged in the refrigerator, it didn’t work. They figured out that it was actually a faulty outlet and so we rigged up an extension cord nearby so that it would work.
I called Scott and got a referral for an electrician — and they referred us to Keithly Electric, who came out and fixed the faulty outlet and some other things that were wrong in the house.
I feel that the prices and service we got here were excellent and I will use them again!

I wasn’t sure about the hype… I mean come on… really? But ya… really!
Just met with Scott because I’m looking to buy a fridge and he’s hands down a crazy cool guy. The place is totally full but somehow he’s managing to help us all courteously and proficiently. Multitasking at its best!
I still need to take some measurements, but I’ll definitely be back to purchase from him. Plus free delivery, even though I’m moving to middle of no where — gravel road — Carnation.
Next step, convincing the hubby for a new washer and dryer! ;-)

I grew up in the Renton Highlands and would come here with my parents. I moved to Kent but still come here for appliances. Here they know what they are talking about. You get the run around at the box stores. King has given my family a lot of ‘Whammer deals!”

After checking out refrigerators at Lowe’s and immediately being encouraged to buy a $ 300 warranty, I decided to go to King and Bunny’s. My neighbor had recommended them, and I wanted to at least check out a local business. When I arrived I was promptly greeted and given quick, no-​nonsense information about the fridge selection, and then given privacy to call my spouse and discuss the options. I was not given any run around about needing a warranty!
I purchased the fridge for the same price as a similar model at Lowe’s at about 11:30. It was delivered and installed by 1:30 by a skilled employee who has been working for the company for 17 years. So there are several awesome things about my experience, but the fact that this whole event took only 2 hours-​well that totally made my day, and the longevity of the delivery guy ‘s employment speaks volumes about the kind of business establishment they run; indeed, it was a business I felt good supporting. I plan on making all future appliance purchases with them! Thank you King and Bunny’s!

I have spent the last 5 months working for King and Bunny’s, and it has been the single greatest work experience I have ever had. My first month there a women’s powered wheel chair died in front of our store and king knew she didn’t live close so we loaded her up in our truck and took her home. It warms my heart knowing there are places that care So much about customer service that they will help out anyone in the Renton community. I have delivered to hundreds of people this summer all very happy about the wonderful service we have. To King, Jason, Peter, Scott, Randy, Jordan, and Dylan you made my summer working a fantastic experience that I will appreciate throughout my life. If I ever need appliances ill go to the home of the whammer deal!

We went in looking for a new dishwasher and picked Kings because it was well recommended. After arriving, the salesman (I think Kings son) helped us and offered to take $ 100 off the cost which we thought was great until he then told us there was a $ 100+ delivery cost. The only problem with this is we previously reviewed their website and it showed free delivery! My wife and I looked at each other, nodded and thanked him before walking out.
I just checked their website again and it now shows free delivery to the greater Renton area.
Update: after posting this, I received an email from King P himself that helped clear up the situation. While that helps, I’m still not inclined to go back.

When our dishwasher was going out a few months ago we checked out King & Bunny based on recommendations from a friend. The staff was very informative and helpful in selecting a new dishwasher. Prices seemed very good. They were not pushy. We purchased a KitchenAid.
We had problems with the installer — who didn’t seem very experienced and took a long time installing it. The screws he put in didn’t hold the dishwasher and they came out so it was jumping around in the space. I called King & Bunny to have it reinstalled and it took them quite a few days to get a repair person out to service us. Then they made us wait for over 4 hours and still no one showed up. Finally after calling to yell at them again they finally had someone come over and fix the install for us — which took all of 5 minutes.
While the dishwasher itself is great — the buttons are too sensitive and it is pulled out farther than our other dishwasher — so that whenever someone leans against our counter top they start the dishwasher. It also seems to short circuit the breaker and we constantly need to flip the power back on for the thing.
I wish we would have gone to a big box retailer — I think we would have gotten better service. I don’t think we will go back there again.

These folks saved our bacon, literally! Our fridge died one morning and we had just done a Costco run the night before. I called around to a few places (big box stores) but none were very helpful. A friend suggested King & Bunny’s.
They had the perfect replacement at a price better than the box stores plus, they delivered and set it up that afternoon! The delivery crew was even nice enough to help me move all the food from the dead fridge into the new one. Wow!
