They have a taco truck in their parking lot! Yes, there is a permanently stationed Taco Truck — with a seating area in their parking lot off of Ranier Ave. While we were not hungry when we visited, trying a taco or two is definitely on the to-do list for next time. After our Farm Stand and our CSA shut down for winter, we were on the hunt for fresh, local, reasonably priced produce. Marilyn’s was surprisingly sparce and moderately priced, some goods were priced higher than normal, while others were moderate. There were a few things that were nice finds, like Kale, and really nice ginger, but their prices reflected it as so too. While we were there, there wasn’t anything that stood out to be too remarkable, either in quality, selection or price. While the owner(who I assume to be Marilyn) was courteous enough, this place sure wasn’t Carpinito Brothers(in Kent). We’ll be back to double check their selection and pricing during the peak summer months, but my experience hasn’t made this our go-to when frost hits.

Forgot something for dinner, don’t want to go to the grocery store? This place works when time is limited.

Great prices for fresh produce! Can even get produce at the peak of it’s freshness or a day past for a discount from the original prices. Owner is the sweetest man and always thanks his customers for«supporting local business.» I would buy here any day over Safeway or Fred Meyer and usually it’s at a great discount. SO glad I decided to stop in.

Marilyn’s always has the freshest produce at great prices. The other day I bought 3 navel oranges, 1 white onion, a bunch of celery, a bell pepper, 3 zucchinis, and a bunch of fresh parsley, all for $ 8. $ 8!!! You can’t beat that. The owners are the nicest people in the world, and I love supporting my local shop. A++

I wish I liked it here, I like the really nice owner, and some of the prices were great but overall, not so much. I wandered about trying to find something for the $ 5 minimum but it just wasn’t happening– granted, this is the fall, veggies and fruits aren’t at their peak but I don’t know if I’ll be back unless I need a whole bunch of stuff I need to use within a day or two.

Let me start things off by saying 1) I love fruits! and 2) I love tacos! Now let me explain. Marilyn’s Produce is an awesome ma and pa produce stand run by Marilyn and Peter, two really friendly and sweet people who are always ready help out if you need any suggestions for things like how to pick a watermelon or even how to pick the right pineapple. The prices are AWESOME! I got corn for $.50 each and sweet white nectarine fr $ 1.49 a lb. Now to make things even better, parked in their parking lot is a taco truck!!! How great is that?! Perfect combo. Stop for a taco after work, then buy some fruits after, or vice versa however you prefer.

Was stopping to get tacos and noticed the fantastic prices here. I paid .10 lb for cabbage, $ 1.49 lb for Honeycrisp apples and .50 lb for grapes! Total spent $ 3.36! AWESOME The bad — bugs(and lots of them on several of the different boxes of fruit) — it was really gross! Will I be back — definitely if I’m in the area and they have bug-free produce I want!

Never again. Ever. Even if I needed just 4 lemons for some soup I was making, and they’re less than a mile from my place. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you’re buying something and you’re on your cell phone/phone, and dammit it REALLY applies when you’re the one on the opposite side of the counter. I should’ve known since she was on the phone the whole time while she was tending to a father and his two children– she didn’t even thank her customers– including me. I just walked out of there and I’m never looking back. BTW, the lemons weren’t all that juicy anyways.

I’m a big fan of a bargain — but an even bigger fan of high quality. Marilyn’s is a nice mixture of both. I can always find what I’m looking for — ranging from plain and boring oranges to the exotic. Marilyn herself is very kind and helpful — she will come over to help recommend something to you but in a very non-obtrusive way. She has been known to steer me towards something less expensive that she thinks will suite me better(different oranges for juicing for example). The store is clean and mostly fruit-fly free with is pretty impressive considering that all they do is fruit. They do have a few grocery items — but really very few. There is also a smallish refrigerated section in the back mostly for vegetables. The location, service, and selection make Marilyn’s a winner!
