Shnoo Yogurt

You walk in and the layout is really weird, even my husband commented on it. I used to frequent the original Shnoo location up in Kirkland when they first opened, so I had a but of a soft spot for these guys. I say «had» because after last night, I won’t visit them anymore. First off, I LOVE FroYo. I go to Yogurtland frequently because it’s near my home and there are a couple other places nearby that I go to, so I consider myself familiar with how froyo in all its different flavors should taste, but I do tend to default to Original at most places.
So last night we had a dinner & movie date night and on our way to our car I wanted froyo so we stopped in. Ordered and original with 3 toppings. The girls they were helping before me were waiting and it turned out they had to mix something in the froyo machine for the original flavor. The top was off and they had a spatula. Probably should have struck me as odd, but I thought maybe they were trying to get the froyo to come out easier or something.
I get my cup and the froyo is kind of melty-​ish, but I figured I’ve had slightly melted froyo before, not worried because, well it’s a frozen product, it’s gonna melt. I take a bite when we’re walking to the car and it’s weird, there’s something a bit off. I had three toppings, so I was trying to figure out of maybe it was the mochi that was off? Nope. After a couple more bites (by which point we’re in the car and driving) I realize it’s the froyo.
Ever had froyo that tastes chalky? No? I hope you never do. It’s disgusting. I’ve heard before that froyo at these places is made from a powder. Think of how powdered milk becomes milk. Sort of. But instead add some other stuff and usually made into delicious froyo. My assumption is the stuff wasn’t mixed properly. I don’t know if it wasn’t mixed long enough or if it wasn’t mixed in the right proportions, all I know is it was chalky. Like Milk of Magnesia. Once I realized it was definitely off and not me, I stopped eating it which made my husband ask what was wrong because, well, I love froyo and usually finish just fine. He even tried a bite after I explained it to him and he found it bad too. My stomach started bugging me within 15 minutes of eating it and I actually went to bed early because of it and it’s still bothering me this morning.
I won’t return. If you’re having a problem with a machine you need to make sure it’s working correctly and testing what it’s putting out that you’re selling to folks to eat. And if it’s not making what it should, you shouldn’t be selling it.

Not real yogurt!!! Gross!
We ordered 2 medium plain yogurts for $ 10. There was no tart or yogurt flavor at all! The yogurt was CLEAR and icy rather than creamy! We are pretty sure it was watered down in the machine.
We asked for something else but unfortunately all their yogurts are like that and they don’t give refunds. I could not exchange for ice cream.
We left our yogurts uneaten and sorely disappointed.

It’s 9pm on a Wednesday and they are not open… Please update your hours of operation, it clearly says until 10pm even on the door.

Laaaaaame. You can’t serve yourself and the «froyo» is ok. Light bulbs need replacing. Makes the place look cheap. My son did like the cotton candy froyo tho.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews for Shnoo. I love the place solely for its name! It’s just so fun to say… Shnoo… :)
The kids that work the counter are always super friendly and provide excellent customer service. They are always happy to give ample tastings too. (hint hint to the person that didn’t know what ‘original’ is… most know that is the original ‘tart’ with no flavor, like plain yogurt.)
One downer is that they don’t go by weight like the majority of froyo places do. The handful of times I’ve been though, they are generous with the servings, but I don’t partake in extra toppings. The fruit usually looks a little mushy at most of the places I go to anyway.
Another downer is that they only have three or four flavors at a time, which is funny because they advertise themselves as a froyo joint, but they have a ton of ice cream! So, just three stars.
Overall, I like Shnoo. Good service and good tasting yogurt brings me back. And, I believe Dr. Seuss would have loved Shnoo too. :D

The prices are reasonable and the other flavors are a must try. I literally sampled all the flavors and after that I got the Thai Ice Tea ice cream which was the BOMB!

Currently 5:49pm on a Wednesday and I’m sitting outside with some friends when we noticed the employees walk out and lock the doors… There currently about 6 people waiting outside. Walked up to the door and there’s a handwritten sign that says «back in 10 mins» but it’s been over 10 minutes now. I’ve never seen this happen where 2 employees just leave in the middle of the day…

I was walking by and saw this place, reminded me of the one that use to be in Bellevue. It’s nothing like it at all. It was wasn’t fresh at all and they barely had any fresh fruit toppings. Very disappointed.

This place is pretty basic comparing to other froyo places. They only have 3 – 5 flavor and the toppings cost $ 1, a small yogurt is $ 3.99.

Wanted some froyo. I went in and they only had two flavors of frozen yogurt. Which surprised me because their name has yougurt in it. The toppings were also limitrd, behind the counter and $.99 a piece. Never going back again

Given our recent heat wave, froyo sounds perfect. So, I’m visiting a friend and happen upon Shnoo. I walk in the door and at first it looks good. Clean, modern, etc.
Then it dawns on me the ingredients are behind the counter. They’re .99 a piece. Also it’s pricey. That’s not good. In fact, it kind of sucks.
Fine, whatever. I go to the teenage girl at the counter and ask what froyo flavors there are.
Only original and raspberry pomegranate? That’s it? Ok then… I’ll have original I guess.
I should have asked what flavor ‘original’ was. It looked white, so I assumed vanilla. The girl was pretty nice and said she wouldn’t charge me for one ingredient. Alright, what’s good with vanilla? Oh geez, the choice of ingredients is limited and I don’t really want any of this… no peanut cups? For reals?
I settled with Reese’s pieces. I get my order and… the original is lemon tart.
In and of itself that isn’t bad, except lemon tart and Reese’s… not so much. Note to Shnoo, please call your ‘original’ something else, so it’s not misleading. How about… lemon tart?
Anyway, this was basically inedible, so I took it back up and asked for something else. Fortunately, the server was sympathetic and let me get something else. I just got birthday cake ice cream with Reese’s which was good, but not really what I came for.
Two reasons Shnoo gets two stars instead of one:
–The server was friendly and understanding and was willing to work with me.
–I was able to eat the final product and it was pretty good.
Another note to Shnoo, revise your business model with the froyo. Seriously. More flavors and put the ingredients out and do the weight thing other places do. Fix these things and I’ll probably come back. Until then, I’m staying away.

I was disappointed to see that you could not self serve the frozen yogurt and can only pick three toppings when usually it’s by weight. There was limited yogurt choices. There were ice cream choices but nothing lactose free. They also have other ice cream bars that they sell but for the price I would just go to target across the street and get a whole box. They advertise as gluten free… but what ice cream has wheat in it?
I would only go here if I was desperate and all other ice cream was gone!

Very disappointing compared to other froyo places in the area. 3 flavors that you don’t get to dispense yourself. A selection of toppings at a buck each, piled on by a surly teenager. The ice cream selection seemed better but still not the flavors I was looking for. It tasted good buy was expensive for what you get and not at all what I wanted.

The yogurt was yummy but the price I spent with one topping here I could probably get way more at other places like yogurt land. The girl that was working actually ran out of the strawberries so I didn’t even get enough for what I paid for. Oh well.

I’ve seen this when at the Landing and finally got around to trying it. They have about 4 flavors of non-​fat frozen yogurt and a variety of toppings to choose from. They also serve many of Full Tilt’s ice creams. It is not a self serve like the ones you typically find around and there is no swirl option for the yogurt although they can do both for you. The facility is clean and there’s plenty of seating. Nothing to rave about but it’s convenient for a before or after movie/​dining out time killer.

Shnoo during the day and Shnoo in the evening each call for very different experiences. When I went during the day, the place was chaotic. It was practically a zoo. Not quite the atmosphere most people are looking for to relax and cool down. Everything seemed to be sloppily thrown into a cup. And to add to all this, the floors and tables were all sticky. I don’t know if it is like this often but it was just so crazy in there I was getting stressed out just standing amidst the chaos.
Shnoo in the evening is less crowded and sooo much calmer. The big windows allow for a nice dim when it’s dark out, and it works nicely with their décor.
I found their yogurt to be fairly decent. It’s not something I would go out of my way to eat. I am a huge fan of full tilt, and when I saw the full tilt sign displayed it was the only reason I came in after not visiting for almost a year. But what a let down. I found my flavor to be very icy and not at all creamy. Almost like it had been sitting there for a while and got freezer burn. Shnoo did not deliver the full tilt I know and love!

I like self serve froyo and this place is not. They only have 6 flavors but maybe that’s enough since they have twice as many ice cream flavors. Tasted the Thai tea froyo and it was good but I ended up getting ice cream, a scoop each of Piña Colada and Ube. The texture was crumbly and the flavor was ok. Toppings? Not as many as most many places but they had my favorites (@ $ 0.99 each). Fresh fruit, boba and mochi. It was a little pricey, I will need to explore the Landing for other quick treat options.

I love how friendly the staff are!!! The pricing is on the expensive side but my kids love going here.
I love how the switch off the flavors so you never know what you’re going to get unless you call in advance.
I like the blue moon ice cream flavor. no it doesn’t taste like the beer! Haha, I like how it’s not too sweet. It reminds me of cotton candy but on the creamy side.
Don’t bother buying chocolate or vanilla because you can buy that at the grocery store for cheaper!

The lady was pleasant but dear god thats the most expensive yogurt ever! two small yogurts 10 $.
I think you can benefit from saving some money and going to a better yogurt joint nearby.
Anyhow, the yogurt was just ok compared to other places and other places don’t skimp on filling the cup up with a healthy amount of frozen yogurt.

Say no to Shnoo.
I have been here a twice and found it to be eh.
Just eh.
I really dont like the flavor of their yogurt. I dont like that they put the toppings on for me and you cannot get extra since they fill it so full with yogurt. I like a good ratio of toppings to yogurt, and i feel once I am halfway down, I have mostly yogurt and toppings are slim.

I would still say I like that they provide water (why does eating something cold make me thirsty? — And I like the people watching). Otherwise, I will not be back.
Full Tilt also has been added since I last came. I am a fan of Full Tilt and added a star here because of it.
