Sip Dao Thai is CLOSED! I tried calling in an order and got disconnected phone. Drove by and they are closed down. New Chinese restaurant there now. :(I liked SIp Dao Thai because they were good and close to my work. I am very sad to see them closed down.

Great food and service! I regularly eat here and have never been disappointed. Service is fast and friendly. It’s nice that they know my usual order and ask after my usual date if they’re not with me. I’ve been a bit sad that they’re closed for another few days due to remodeling. :(I made a beeline for it a few days ago forgetting the remodeling at the time.

Very much just«ok». Food is bleh, but not bad. Tastes like something you’d find at a buffet, honestly. Noodles are a little on the slimy side and have an odd taste. They should probably step up their game because the joint around the corner is twice as good for a similar price. That said, I’d eat there again… I’d eat it in a pinch.

I work in the area and wanted to try something I hadn’t already had a million times. My coworker suggested this place. I live my life by the Unilocalers, so I was a bit worried with not such great reviews, and most of them from years ago! We went in at 11:15am on a weekday, prime lunch eating time. We were the only people in the restaurant which kinda freaked me out. For being the only ones there, the service could have been better. Surprisingly the food was really good. I ordered the peanut noodles or something to that effect and it was great! I damn near licked the plate clean! The food was out to us in 5 minutes tops, so it was perfect for a short lunch. My friend had some garlic dish which she said was good but, it lacked the garlic she was looking for. We will definitely be back to try something else.

We enjoy this restaurant on a regular basis. You get a little bowl of soup upon being seated which is nice. I typically get the Green Day with chicken, Cashew Chicken or the Pad Kee Mou with chicken. My kids favorite are the Chow Mein and the Shrimp fried rice. They are both delicious! The food always tastes good, my only gripe is that sometimes when I order a 5 star I have to add heat and other time I cry! I’ve learned to order a 4 and add heat if I need it. I’ve been with friends who order a 1 star when I order a 4 and they’ll taste similar. I wish they’d add new items to their menu… but regardless… I’ll be back!

First time trying this place, and it was way too spicy when I ordered 0 stars. I ordered prawns pad thai and I got 4 prawns. Not impressed.

I’ve been here 3 times for take out lunch. I ordered the ground chicken with rice and an egg they have on their specials board. I like this dish so much, I have ordered it each time. This dish is so good I would have given it a 4 star but, the service was painfully slow the first 2 times I went to the restaurant that I almost left without my order. This time(my 3rd trip) I planned for a wait and was surprised at the speed my dish came out however, the portion is way smaller and is lacking the ground chicken. It’s ground chicken with basil and asparagus but, this is 90% asparagus. It’s still good but not worth the monies. Truthfully I’m a little disappointed and with all the Thai restaurants I’m not sure I see a point in going back.

Food was Disappointing, and if the guy who took our order was not nice, we would have given a 1 or 2 star. I got a Red Chicken Curry(2 star) The spice was appropriate but the portion was small for a dinner portion, flavor was lacking a bit, dish needed more bamboo shoots and I could have done without the beans and carrots in it. My Wife got the Pineapple fried rice, portion size was ok, but the dish was bland, there was a lack of pineapple for being a pineapple dish, only took a few bites, it just did not taste good. Seattle has an abundance of Thai food thank goodness. We will not be back.

I like going to this place for lunch. Usually order the gyoza, pineapple fried rice, and wonton soup to share. Have had the pad thai as well. It’s not the best thai food I’ve had, but it’s good and worth my return trips. Some of their menu items are a little more expensive than other nearby restaurants where you could order the same thing. Worth a try if you’re in the area and need a Thai food fix!

It’s a solid 3. Place was almost empty– 1:30 Saturday afternoon. I had the tofu green curry(3 heat) with brown rice. Taste was excellent. Veg were all fresh and crisp. Curry was a little more brothy than I prefer but the brown rice provided good chew.

My other half and I had just finished a shopping trip to Ikea and needed to refuel ourselves. This restaurant is a block away from Ikea, so it was super easy to find, and it was easy to hop onto 167th after lunch. It was about 1:30, so there were only a handful of people there. The place was clean and presentable; the menu was simple and straight forward; and the staff was friendly and prompt. I ordered off the lunch special. I got a combination plate with Veggie Phad Thai and Mussaman Curry with white rice. It was a huge portion enough for two meals, so I boxed the Phad Thai. I had ordered 4⁄5 stars and the spice level was at about a 2. D ordered a chicken Phad Thai off the regular menu. The portion was large and it came with a scoop of white rice. The spice level was about a 3 and he’d ordered a 4 also. The spice level being shorted is the reason I kept the rating at three stars, instead of four. Good find, overall.

All the reviews sound pretty scary but I’ve yet to find a decent Thai restaurant to stick to. We’ve been coming here for the last year now, the price is fair and the food has always been consistent. Service has always been nice as well and it’s clean. We haven’t tried a whole lot of other dishes there but when it comes to consistency we usually stick w/the basics and have been happy w/the following: Phad Thai w/Chicken or Beef Phad Prick Gang w/Pork Spicy Fried Rice w/Beef Red or Green Curry w/Chicken With the exception of the Spicy Fried Rice, I would not recommend trying the other choices of fried rice, you’d probably have a better chance of making it yourself. The Larb, I wouldn’t recommend either. It didn’t have the traditional taste, it was lacking something, but I couldn’t pin it down to what. The Chicken Satay was ok but we’ll order it once in a blue moon. I don’t think you should pass this place up. Everyone has different taste buds. If you’ve liked anything I’ve wrote reviews on, give it a try. And if it turns out not great and you know a good Thai place, let me know!

The service is lacking. I never had anyone ask me how my food was, so I was never able to get some soy sauce. The ginger chicken has way tooooo much ginger chunks. I have had better place!

I’m keeping it at solid 4 stars, they deserve it. If they can up it a notch by adding some new unique dishes, that 5th star may be added on. I still haven’t actually sat down and ate here yet. I just stop in for take-out or order delivery because I’m usually working. Today I order the red curry with chicken, 4 stars. It was perfect actually. Level of spiciness was on par, good amount of veggies and chicken, not overly thick or watered down. I got the lunch combo and it was more than enough. Ate it for my dinner and I was pretty stuffed. This place is keeping me fairly happy even though there are many other Thai places in the area.

It’s pretty good. I had the panang curry with chicken, spicy. I thought it was weird that the curry dishes don’t come with rice. The curry was the right amount, slightly more than one serving. I ordered over the phone and within 10 minutes my order was piping hot, packed and ready for me to enjoy. I don’t like this place as much as Thai 65 at The Landing, but if I’m nearby I won’t hesitate to drop in for food.

Called ahead for takeout because I was nearby and they had a website with a menu listed. Even though I’m very familiar with Thai food, it’s always nice to browse a menu for inspiration. Ordered a couple dishes and they said it would be ready in 10min. Sure enough, when I arrived it was bagged and ready to go. I specified 3 stars out of the 5 they offer, just to keep it mild. These days I like my food to have some kick, but not be overly spicy. Unfortunately it seems most Thai restaurants have dumbed down the heat, so even for a medium level I often have to order the highest stars. Glad I played it safe for my first time at Sip Dao, as their 3 was spot on. Nice little kick that added to the flavors, not overpowering. A 5 at this place would prob bring some real heat. Of course they had brown rice too. Will def get takeout here again!

The boyfriend and I went here the day before Christmas Eve for a late lunch. We were in the area, and he had eaten here before since it is close to his office. They were out of wide noodles, so we ended up ordering some pad thai type dish and cashew tofu. I didn’t really like the tofu, even though I’m vegetarian and eat tofu all the time. The pad thai noodles were nice and spicy and cooked perfectly, and the leftovers tasted even better later that evening. I won’t drive to Renton just to eat Thai food here, but for a quick, late lunch, it wasn’t half bad. Prices are average. The total for our meal, including tax, was around $ 17.
