Unbelievably helpful, fully stocked, knowledgeable team of automobile professionals. They Sell snacks! Make it happen or just grab a bag of m&m’s. Multicolor lights for my floors… and I can operate them with my smartphone? Yup!

Staff was really swamped today. But they still helped customers quickly. The staff was nice and helpful. They charged my battery for free. I think that is an awesome service. That in itself makes me want to come back. In addition they tested battery to see if I needed a new one. Instead of running some hocus pocus so that I would buy a new battery they told me my battery was still good. I love honesty that is important.

Thought Auto Zone would offer better service than Pep Boys. What a joke. But boy I was wrong. The service here reminded me how screwed up we are as a society. The mere fact company’s just like this don’t mind taking your money with a smile but offer really bad service speaks volumes about how we as a country allow quality service to fall to the wayside. And we as consumers tolerate it because we are too f-​ing lazy to do anything about it. As long as WE continue to support company’s like this and spend our hard earned money there, nothing will ever change. Just a little food for thought for those who sit and complain about poor customer service and do nothing about it.

Came to the store to purchase a battery for my Honda Shadow motorcycle that I had just bought. I had not removed my battery yet so I did not know what it looked like, gave them all the info they asked for. They sold me a battery that didnt fit. I had to go to Robertson Honda to buy something for my Honda Accord, and on the way there I saw a Honda motorcycle dealer on Lankershim Blvd. I went in and gave them all the info about my motorcycle and they sold me the correct battery. The next day I went to Autozone to return the wrong battery they sold me and the Manager did not want to give me a refund because he said the battery was installed. Complete lie… he was very rude too, after a few minutes of us arguing he finally refund me the money. I dont have a problem with the store, I have a problem with the manager there. His customer service is terrible!

I was wondering how could an AutoZone have three stars when people there are supposed to love cars well I found out the hard way I came to AutoZone on Friday December for approximately 8:55 PM I called two minutes prior to because I knew that they were about to close I asked the manager if you can grab a headlight for me for my 2006 BMW. He said yes I pulled up at 8:55 PM I asked the guy who checked me out employee number 197 158 if he could take a second to install my headlight for me being that it only takes a minute he told me that it’s too dark outside and that I should come back tomorrow. I tried my best not to cuss him out because I’m a lady and it’s Friday night and the police stop shoe in Los Angeles for anything and I just wanted to change my headlight so I wouldn’t give them a reason to stop me. I was appalled and offended that he said no that I should come back tomorrow because it’s too dark outside it gets dark at 5 o’clock now it gets dark at 5 o’clock now what the hell kind of answer is that that’s why I’m giving y’all a one star and I will never be returning to this AutoZone again and less I’m broke down and there is no where to go or maybe I’ll just wait to the next day when the sun is shining and go to another damn AutoZone whack!

Have never had a problem finding what I need here. The major problem though, is they are always so understaffed, you wait at least 10 minutes in line just to pay, no matter the time of day. They have multiple registers but there’s always just one person doing it, looking stressed and bothered. No real customer service, just grabs the money, hands you change, never asks if you need a bag, and then hurries you on. They need help here, badly.

I wish this wasn’t the nearest AutoZone to my house. The line is usually long and they are always understaffed. I complained to the store manager about it and he said they can’t hire more people because they don’t have more computers. I asked the obvious and he said they can’t buy more computers because they don’t have space.
Tonight I called, they had the part I needed and said they would hold it at the register so I wouldn’t have to wait in the parts line. When I got there — no part ! They had to look it up again and go fetch it. Guess what? They said they were too busy to put the part behind the register !! …so they had to look it up twice and waste time.

Used to be a former employee and I know what goes around at this store and I can say it isn’t as best as it used to be. I tried to give the best customer service as possible especially because I was a manager and even then the store manager didn’t appreciate it. The store manager is very rude and incompetent to be running this store. The employees that actually help are Travis, Cristian, Luis, Gaby, and the manager Gus. They are the people to go to. I recently went to purchase some things for my car and I got kicked out because the Store Manager Max, said I can’t have dogs inside the store. I perhaps missed the sign were it says no dogs allowed… There is no sign yet I get kicked out. Very rude I’ll take my service else where. Nothing against autozone just the management.

I bought a part here and I asked the salesperson at the time of purchase if I can return the part if I couldn’t find any other stores that had quantity I needed. He said, that should be no problem.
I tried returning the part the following day and I was informed by manager that he will not accept my return because he thinks the part was previously installed because it had some debon the part. I informed him that we just took the part out of the box to compare it with original OEM part and that’s why it has a little dirt from handling the part. He didn’t believe me and would accept my return even though I continuously tried explaining to him that it was never installed. We argued back and forth for a few minutes but he would not accept my return. I was so upset that I left and told him that I would contact their corporate office.
This guy was so rude and had no sense of customer service. I will definitely not be returning to this Autozone location.

Bueno yo tengo tiempo comprando en esta tienda y siempre avía salido satisfecho pero hoy fui a devolver algo que avía comprado y no lo necesitaba Ise cola como unos 20 minutos y cuando llego a la caja me disen que no era ahi y me obligan hacer otra cola en otra caja y luego tengo que regresar a la caja endonde ise la primera fila abolver a cer la cola para que meregresaran el dinero la verdad es ridiculo no estan organizados ni tienen un letrero donde diga returns

I just had a great experience at this location. The manager Max was extremely helpful with replacing my battery. I young women by the name of April was initially the first person who greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. She was quick to get the necessary equipment to check my battery and together we found out I had an extremely bad battery. Which explains why my car had to be jumped twice earlier this week. Anyways, she went straight to Max when I asked if I could get help In swapping my old battery with my new one. Max was nice enough to say yes and went ahead with coaching her and I step by step how to do it. I really enjoyed how he was so willing to teach us the process. April and Max were great and I am definitely coming back here due to there excellent service :)

Some of the guys here are very helpful kind and knowledgeable. It would be at least 4 stars but Jennifer’s rude and arrogant attitude and not much of a help. Usually don’t comment like this but that’s not cool

The guy who works AT this location deserves a raise /​bonus … at least a good Unilocal mention and THANKS. However… NATIONAL MANAGEMENT? … note: First – this deals with only a $ 3.26 item (tho that gets more interesting when you know this is for a Mercedes I’m restoring… and sure enough the MB dealer was 1. ready to charge a ton more AND 2. THEY – the Mercedes dealer – didn’t even have it stock!
THIS Autozone was able to get this Mercedes part for me within just a few hours wait for it to be delivered (to them – the counter guy kindly phoned /​looked up other stores for me, too, without being asked) – delivered there later the same day.
BUT – my first phone call (s) were to the number you get googling Autozone about this location – the older /​wise sounding man on the phone said that location had it in stock (wrong) and «I’ll GIVE it to you» when asked the price (also wrong, tho’ it was only $ 3 – but that’s not my point).
OK…“give it free” to me was a total surprise – alto it’s just a cheap washer… so it was possible I was experiencing someone who REALLY knew how to start a business relationship with a customer !!! (I had clarified that I was restoring this 30 year old Mercedes – which is absolutely true.)
I even phoned a second time to ask their location (Parthenia and Reseda)…thinking I’m talking to someone on scene. THE PLOT THICKENS: AT THE COUNTER… a VERY sharp, nice guy politely but clearly said: that’s a national call center (??) somewhere far away… and no, they did NOT have the part… but, in hours, could get it. HE handled THAT so well… and I’d gone CONSIDERABLY out of my way that particular day… that I’ll probably do my restoration business into the future there. But this b — s — t of the «national call» answer (er) who was 1. wrong, 2. what, joking? … that needs to be smacked down by management forthwith. IF NOT for the nice, articulate, quick-​acting guy at the counter … … this review would be far different, as would my future business (and there are a LOT of things to buy when restoring an old Mercedes)…then again… that was such a screw-​up on a national /​call answering basis … ‘still a little p’s’d (this happened just in past 24 hours). OTOH, unless they’re planted, other reviews ring true and that’s to their credit, locally. Good luck, Autozone.

After looking for a part for approximately 4 hours in pepboys and Auto zone and other part stores like discount part and Napa, I finally arrived to this Auto zone, it was very busy and the staff look knowledgeable and try to help, after few minutes in line, the guy checked and find the part but he said that he doesn’t have it and asked me if he wants me to check other Auto zones, he looked in the system and saw that the one in Arleta has it, he wrote me down the adress, charged me for the part, called the other store and told them to make it ready for pick up, this is how a customer should be taken care off, the auto zone on sepulveda could do the same thing about 4 hours ago when I had started to look for this part.
I am not sure what is the problem with those kind of employees but there is something wrong when they start showing attitude.
I always say, God help them.

I went in there tonite like maybe 5 – 10 mins before they were closing to get a headlight which I desperatly needed. So when Im paying I asked if someone could put it on for me because I wasnt sure if I knew how or if I needed tools or had some even inmy car and I had to have a headlight, dont need any LAPD’s stopping if u get me. She told me after 8 pm they dont do that kind of thing for customers anymore. I did not know this. By the way I believe they are open till 10 every night maybe not Sundays but all other nights. It says only 9 pm on here. I guess I looked really sad about them not being able to do it lol. The girl working there Gizelle told me hey if u cant do it when I get done here Ill go out there and help you do it. So I was having problems with it. She came out and helped me and was so helpful and nice. I had something wrong withthe thing u plug the bulb into and she fixed it and knew what she was doing very much. She was very cool and helpful. Thank you Gizelle. She was on her own time doing this for me. She should geta raise as far as Im concerned. This review was from like a year ago lol sorry I saw it

Weird people

You need to read my review on Pep Boys to understand my renewed appreciation for Auto Zone. I’ve always had good service here and love that I can «rent» tools for less than it would cost to buy them and get my money back upon return. It’s a loan program that definitely builds customer loyalty and keep people coming through their doors. Anyway, that’s one of the many things I like about this place. (You do have to check your receipts, though, because sometimes new employees don’t seem to get it right.)
That customer loyalty and building traffic thing is vital… so here goes (and do read my Pep Boys review if you want the whole enchilada)…I tried to pick up a battery at Pep Boys that was purchased for me as a gift online by my generous mom, who lives out-​of-​state. It was a ridiculous no-​go, even though the employees have seen me there and I’ve also given them a good amount of business.
Frustrated (understatement), we go to Auto Zone. Luis, a man of great patience (we learned he has seven kids), takes the time to hear us out, gives me the number for my mother to call, then, after verifying that she does indeed know me by asking pointed questions while looking at my ID, he takes her CC info over the phone, destroys the little notepaper he used to write it down in front of my eyes, processes the transaction and, like retail magic, we walk out with the battery. Tah dah!!! Auto Zone gets the sale and I’m able to drive again without the drama-​trauma that Pep Boys corporate was offering.
Here’s the deal: Luis was smart enough to know this wasn’t a high-​risk transaction and, apparently, Auto Zone puts at least a little trust in its employees to use common sense judgement in dealing with their valuable customers. Thank you, Luis, thank you, Auto Zone and thanks, mom, for getting me back on the road! Sorry, Pep Boys employees, that you’re stuck in this cluster-​you-​know-​what!!!
PS: Another thank you is due for allowing for me to answer the question of whether or not my car is 4 or 6 cylinders, rather than running to your computer to confirm this information. I know most females haven’t taken auto shop and perhaps don’t work on their cars, but it’s refreshing to be given the benefit of the doubt. That goes a long way, too.

These people just don’t know what they’re doing. Nobody here knows what your car needs, or what a simple gasket is. And when all else fails they resort to their computer, ask you what the year make and model of the vehicle is, and tell you the part isn’t available. I’m pretty sure that 2.5″ gaskets are UNIVERSAL. These people know nothing unless it’s battery, starter or alternator related.
