Best phở ever! And some of the branches(like simi valley & west hills/fallbrook) make the banh mi sandwiches — so good! Everything is top notch and just amazing. I’ve tried other phở places, and nothing compares to this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed & comfortable. The dishes are extremely fresh and exquisitely made. Everything is authentic and genuine. AND everything on the menu is affordable! Can’t go wrong with this place!

this place is amazing!!! Only complaint would be is they tend to forget to bring you a thing or two from your order but once you ask for it they bring it right away:) other than that the food is amazing since im currently pregnant i only order the #18 and it never fails to please my baby and its one of few things i can eat without feeling sick afterwards… Place is very clean and once people leave from their tables there is already somebody cleaning it up. Highly recommend this place to everyone my 3 yr old is a picky eater and loves eating here!

This is probably one of my FAVORITE places to get food! I take my mom their for lunch almost every other week. The food comes out of the kitchen like BOOM and it still taste great. Something I don’t like is that they pack so much food on a single plate and I always have food still on my plate unless I got a phở thai. Sadly, the staff is a very unenthusiastic. I get that they work almost every day and are probably burned out, but everyone looks very sad and angry. There’s always the occasional youngster that likes to smile and say goodbye to leaving customers, but they’re so many guys that look like they don’t even wanna work their, it makes me a little uncomfortable when I eat.

With a Phở place on every corner in this neighborhood, this is by far the best. I am a regular about once or twice weekly for a quick bowl of Phở on the nights that we are too busy to cook. We know that if we visit Phở So 1 we will get some awesome and authentic Vietnamese and are usually in and ouf of there in 30 mins! I also highly suggest their eggrols, they’re awesome.

Love Phở So 1 restaurant in Reseda. It’s perhaps the best phở restaurant in the valley area. We’ve been coming here for about 10 years now and they always have such great food. Get the Phở Combination #1(Phở Dac Biet) which has just about every type of beef meat available — brisket, flank, raw beef, tendon tripe, and much more. The broth is well made and taste super authentic to Vietnam. Also get the fried egg rolls. About 4 eggrolls cut in half and served with fresh veggies and a fish sauce. Well made, where it is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Always a favorite. I also love this restaurant because they not only have a wide and vast menu of foods, but they also have fun drinks. Bobas, smoothies, and more in all kinds of flavors — avocado, banana strawberry, soursap, durian, carrot, pineapple, green apple, taro, and about 10 more flavors! Most of the wait staff are super friendly, but the lady behind the counter isn’t as friendly. That’s OK because she makes some rocking drinks! Food Grade: A– Service Grade: A– Worth the Money Grade: A Overall Impression Grade: A–

Their egg rolls are the best in the world I’ve ever tasted. They gives you a lot of vegetables too, which I love so much. It’s my dad’s favorite as well! The portion of their phos are just right. I brought my family, friends and coworkers and they really loved here. The price is reasonable or even cheaper than other phở spots. The only thing I’m sad about is the distance. It’s really far from my home :( Can you please make another Phở So 1 in my town? LOL

I’ve been coming here for years and sometimes I’ll feel like phở or vermicelli or porridge. The food is always good and food is always promptly served. I always get egg rolls here because they are filling and a nice treat to have with phở or their other dishes. Service? Again it’s an Asian restaurant. you know how that goes. Free parking in the back.

This is my favorite place to get Vietnamese. My friend LOVES the phở here but my favorite is the vermicelli with pork & eggrolls. They also have great pork chops with white rice if you’re looking for something more filling. Connected to the restaurant is a boba shop. What more could you ask for?

I chose this place because I saw the 4 star rating! What a disappointment. The place generally is run down, and in a pretty shady area… but I could get over that if the food & service were ok. Well, unfortunately that was not the case. My wife and I ordered 5 items(2 drinks, 2 meals, and some spring rolls). We got 3 items(2 meals and 1 drink). Because they serve you as items are ready(and not all at once), first I thought«oh that other stuff will come later», then«man that’s taking a while», then«well crap, I’m already done with my meal!». Not to mention, even simple things like«May I please have a box and our check» resulted in just getting a box, and no check. I don’t expect excellent service, or excellent food from a $ place. But I’ve had FAR superior experiences at other $/$$ places. Avoid this one.(The food wasn’t even that good!)

I tried to like this place, failed twice. I had read a review about the flies in the water cups so was a bit iffy. I didn’t get an insect in my water glass, but I did have a visit by a roach. It was crawling on the wall slowly as if it was normal. Dirty place but decent Phở, so if you don’t mind creepy crawlers then this is a good place.

Decided to give another phở spot a try since I’ve been on this phở kick. This place is very clean and spacious. They have flat screen tvs playing sports and the people here are really friendly. When we first sat down we asked for water and for some reason it took him forever to bring us our waters but he eventually came with them when he took our order. I decided to go with the grilled beef and pork with rice vermicelli and vegetables and we got the beef egg rolls with a Thai ice tea with boba. My fiancé ordered the Phở Tai soup which she always gets from everywhere. My meal was really good. The meat looks like it’s not cooked all the way and it was a little scary at first but it was fine. The egg rolls were amazing! I actually like these egg rolls better than most phở places I go to. My fiancé enjoyed her soup as always and the Thai ice tea was good as well. Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re close in the area. I still have my favorites and the fact that it took them a long time to bring us waters and the meat looked a little uncooked was a bit of a knock off the rating. I’d come back again and definitely get the egg rolls OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

3 ½ stars. I’ve been coming here ever since college so I’m surprised I never wrote a review before. My usual spot used to be Phở 999 which is literally half a block from Phở So 1 but they have really rude customer service there so I stopped going. Phở So 1 will have your food ready in 5 – 10 minutes tops and their portions are huge. I was a bit disappointed when I went yesterday because the amount of meat they put in my Rare Steak Phở has dwindled. Also, I ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls and it was mainly vermicelli(no bueno). I’ve had better phở in Westminster but it’s pretty decent here. My boyfriend loves the Shrimp Phở so I recommend that for the seafood lovers. Phở places are awesome because the prices are very affordable so this place won’t burn through your wallet. The great thing about this place is that it offers way more than phở. You can also order Banh Canh, Bun Bo Hue, dry vermicelli dishes and rice dishes. I definitely plan on trying something other than phở the next time I pay a visit. Also, there is a legit boba shop connected right next to Phở So 1 so seating is available there as well. Make sure to get the taro/coconut milk tea, it’s my favorite!

Eaten here a few times prior to my review. Close by my office so when the mood calls for it, myself and business colleague find this place fits the bill for some amazing Phở in Reseda. Very consistent in food quality and service. The menu is vast and really tasty. I usually go for a #1, #7 or #11 all large. Tripe and tendon are fresh … So is the beef. I usually ask for the hot water to be very hot. Large amount of noodles that are good. The amount of jalapeños, basil and those tasteless white sprouts are endless on the side along with spicy and sweet chili and other sauces. Clean and authentic is a key factor for this restaurant … Not one of those new age, contemporary interior designs… Very welcoming. Service here is fast. You get seated immediately and orders come out fast. If you’re in the neighborhood and are in the mood for some quality and authentic Phở, this is your place.

Imagine it’s a cold rainy day and you want something hot and comforting in you and you don’t want to wait because your just cold and hungry. Well this is the place for you. We were in the office and we saw it was raining outside and windy and cold and we said today is Phở day. We went on Unilocal, found the nearest Phở restaurant and decided to come here because the reviews were good. The very second we walked in, we were greeted and seated. It didn’t take more than a few more moments for our order to be taken. Before we knew it, in about a minute or so, a piping hot large bowl of Phở Goodness hit our tables. Along with it, a plate of sprouts, basil, jalepeno and lime. Just the right amount and very fresh. Phở So 1 is all business, no fuss. You come in, you sit, you eat, your life becomes instantly better and you go on with your day. I always get the #7 Large, it is about $ 7 and it comes with Flank, Brisket and Tendon. The portions are just the right amount you you will leave satisfied. Parking is in the back and you also pay up front, so you don’t have to flag your waiter down.

Better phở than 999! The meat is better quality. Broth is perfect. Egg rolls are fried to perfect crispness. 999’s egg rolls are the kinds you get at a fast food Chinese restaurant. Phở So 1 also has a boba shop attached to it. I only get their iced coffee with milk. It’s pretty strong and sweet drink. Their other drinks aren’t that great.

I’ve come here a couple times, and sometime last year they opened up a new location. You simply come here for the phở, I don’t care which one you get, but all the combos of them seem to be great. That broth is delicious. You don’t come here for the service and having a nice server who will talk to you or be on top of bringing you another water or whatever beverage whenever you’d like, you come here just for the phở… Great prices too and quick service.

I grew up eating here. This was the place to go after sunday church services, or the chillier weekday nights. Yes there are more Vietnamese restaurants around the valley, and yeah there might be better notable ones, but this place is practically like a second home. There are weeks where I am here more times than I realize. It’s addictive, and homey. Entering the restaurant will give you that distinct phở smell. It is not classy nor is it upscale, but I feel like most places that have the best dishes come from places like this. Even on hot days, I’ll want to crave phở, and end up here. Unfortunately, this place is not open late, which we always seem to crave the most late at night. They don’t need attention, nor advertisement because they have loyal customers that come often, like myself, and newcomers that would definitely come again. I will say that their service needs a little more attention, but it doesn’t really disappoint, as the food is usually served really quickly, and it’s cheaper than other phở places around LA. The workers are sometimes hard to understand, and trying to converse with them is also quite difficult, but you can just point at either the picture of the number on their vast menu options. There is plenty of parking on the street at the front, of the parking lot behind the store. There are a variety of dishes I get here, #15 soup(is usually what I get), the egg rolls, charbroiled beef vermicelli, or their pork chop rice dishes. The soup have a small and large options. It is just a good broth overall. The eggrolls are also a classic here. They are one of my favorites to eat here! It’s crispy and warm, and you can wrap it in the lettuce and vegetables and dip it in their vinegary sauce. Also try the avocado shake with boba. It’s worth it. It is not too sweet and just simply refreshing after a whole dish of phở and eggrolls.

I literally grew up going to this restaurant. This is 20-something+ years of eating at Phở So 1. I’ve been to a handful of Vietnamese restaurants, but this one reels me back in each time. Maybe it’s the familiarity of the staff, or the nostalgia associated with it, but I literally can’t stop going here. My personal recommendations for phở is their #1 — which is basically their all-inclusive, big bowl. Their broth is cooked to perfection, and they never skimp out when you ask for extra onions. Other favorites would be their charbroiled beef and egg roll vermicelli, stir-fried chicken with onion on top of rice, charbroiled beef with rice, and their spring rolls. They have pretty hefty portions that you can easily split for two. In addition, I recommend getting their avocado shake. It’s not too sweet and you can pair it with any of your dishes if you want to cleanse your palate. They have a big parking lot in the back, but don’t be surprised if you smell something funky while you’re walking to the back entrance of the restaurant. It’s unfortunate that the dumpster is less than 50 feet away, but hopefully you can hold your appetite. Happy eating!

Probably one of the busiest Vietnamese restaurants in the valley. Was craving Vietnamese food so stopped by to pick up food togo and it was pretty crowded. I ended up ordering phở and bun with beef and egg rolls. The container of soup had burst open, but thankfully there’s a plastic bag around it so it didn’t spill everywhere. I like how the meat and noodles are served in a plastic bowl instead of another styrofoam cup. It makes it a lot easier to eat. You get a really good amout of noodles, but the broth needed a little more work. The bun was good, egg rolls were really crispy and beef wasn’t too dry. I didn’t like how the veggies are on the bottom of the noodles. Pretty big portions. They have 7 courses of beef, which I look forward to trying during a future visit.

This restaurant claims to serve the best beef noodle soup — so what do I do? I order Phở Dac Biet. And though it wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad. It was the service that wasn’t very good. Slow and inattentive. Other than the food coming out so fast — like the cooks knew I was coming and what I was having, even trying to wave someone down was a chore. Then, the language barrier made it even more trying. But in the end, my orders were right. The price wasn’t bad. And I didn’t get sick. Food wasn’t piping hot but the serving size for the price, was very nice. A decent amount of ingredients but know that the broth is a little sweet — which didn’t bother me too much because I balanced it with sauces. I’ve had better but I’ve also had worse. The service definitely needs some improvement and if and when that happens, my rating of this place will improve as well. I’ll try other places for Phở in the area before I return though.
