Wouldn’t recommend eating there since it’s a small spot but a great place to order to go sushi. Definitely one of the better sushi spots in the valley.

This is one of my favorite sushi spots! The owner is a very nice guy and the chef makes great sushi. They are great in terms of service. Everything that I tried was delicious. I’m terms of price, it was about average. Around 4 for a regular and 10 for specialty. My girlfriend is a sushi fanatic and she thought it was great! Would highly recommend!!!

Definitely one of those hole in the wall places. It’s always busy with people picking up orders and eating in; granted the seating inside is very limited. The sushi is really good and very fairly priced. You won’t be able to find a better deal for sushi in the valley. Owners are also very nice and friendly.

I understand that this is a small place and not a chain but the plates were dirty. If you flip the plates and cups, you’ll see grimes and other yucky stuff underneath them :(The 1 star is for the customer service and the eel sushi. While most places only serve 1 eel, this place does 2, so that’s deserves 1 star.

This place is not good. Idk why there are so many good reviews but I went and it was awful. Idk why they put smelt egg on everything I ordered. I was ordering a salmon hand roll and they gave it to me with smelt egg and a ridiculous amount of green onions. I couldn’t even eat it. Even on the baked mussels. A RIDICULOUS amount of smelt egg. What sushi place does that?! The only good part was the green tea ice cream at the end, at least they didn’t put smelt egg on that.

Decided to give this place a try because of all the good reviews it has. I personally love sushi and it’s hard to find good sushi places other than going to Ventura Blvd. I like the location, prices are very reasonable, sushi is ok. I think it’s a perfect place to grab a quick bite and go. Not a sit down kinda place since they only have about 3 tables, and one outside and no sushi bar. Our waiter was really nice and on top of everything considering he was the only waiter there. I ended up having the B. S lobster roll and it was ok, I also order the crunch roll and that was actually really good :) I did notice a lot of people coming to pick up orders to go. I think next time that’s what I’ll do since I had to sit down on the outside table.

Cute little place with only 3 tables. Sushi was spot on. There is no beer or sake served but that is not what you come here for. Will definitely be back!

It’s ok just ok. I had high expectations based on the reviews. I was expecting the sushi to have more flavor based on how delicious the rolls looked in pictures. I ordered: Crunch roll: 2⁄5 Hungry roll: 3⁄5 Hot line: 3⁄5 Spicy Scallop cut roll: 4⁄5 Spicy shrimp cut roll and hand roll: 5⁄5! Why 3 stars? First star: Great prices. Super cheap affordable sushi. You can have a good lunch for under $ 15. Second star: quick service and very friendly cashier. I called my order ahead. I was told 15 – 20 mins and the food was ready when I showed up. Third star: the spicy scallop cut roll, spicy shrimp cut and hand roll were fantastic! For around 4.50 you get a nice cone filled with lots of spicy shrimp or scallops, cucumber and rice. Very delicious. If I do decide to come back it’ll only be for those 3 items mentioned above.

The yellowtail is amazing. It was spicy and delicious! Herby and fresh hand roll. This place is a hole in the wall but I would definitely visit again. Except I wouldn’t order the cucumber salad again. It was like a pickle slaw … Meh. Great fish tho and beautiful presentation.

Seriously LOVE this place! Yes, it looks like a hole in the wall, but don’t let the appearance fool you… I’ve taken several people here on several different occasions & they have all loved it too. Good sized rolls, & I seriously feel like Norm from Cheers when I come even for a pick up order. Pick up or Dine in, great place!

Sushi for me? Yeeahhhh! I enjoyed everything we ordered. The rolls were a good size with good tasting fish. I had: Teriyaki chicken lunch special($ 7.95): Came with a decent amount of chicken and a sweet teriyaki sauce. Served with a flavorful miso soup and my choice of two types of rolls or tempura; I opted for the California rolls. Spicy salmon rolls(8 for $ 4.95): Good rolls with a nice subtle kick. A lot of value here. Lava rolls(10 for $ 8.95): Nice and big with a decent amount of salmon and tuna on the outside, and spicy tuna on the inside. Yellowtail sashimi(7 pieces for $ 10.50): My favorite item! Firm but neither chewy nor tough, and melted in my mouth. Had the signature fatty tuna taste without a fishy taste. What a great cut of sashimi! Service was attentive and friendly all around. There’s limited seating here though, only four tables, so it’s not uncommon that people order to-go.

Very lowkey sushi spot nestled in between BCD and H Salt Fish & Chips. Don’t let its outside looks fool you, this place is legit! The inside is very cozy with only about 3 tables so this place is more ideal for take out. The sushi chef which I’m assuming is the owner as well is a gem of a guy! He along with his staff have always been awesome and accommodating. I recommend any of the sushi combinations or #81 Haedupbbap(sashimi salad). Honestly, their rolls are yummy too! I like this place because the quality of the fish is fresh and the portion sizes are generous. Friendly staff, affordable prices, fresh quality, and fast service. Two thumbs up!

I’m currently totally obsessed with Hand Salmon Rolls, and the crunchy salmon skin. OMG!!! Just thinking about it, makes me salivate. HA!!! Got my rolls to go and ate them at home and they were made very nice. Not too much rice and very crispy salmon skin, not too greasy either. The rolls were also very pretty and loved every bite. Maybe next time I’m in the hood, I will get more and be adventurous!

Decided to visit this sushi restaurant and see it is any good. It is a small hole in the wall place that is very small. There are four tables altogether inside. I recommend ordering to go. After looking at the menu the first thing that popped into my head is that the prices are decent. There is no roll over $ 10 and they are pretty big. I decided to get two rolls which were the eel/avocado roll and the love roll. The eel & avocado roll was okay. Each time I picked up a piece with my chopsticks it would just crumble. You could tell it was put together in a rush and I will not get this one again. However, they put in a good amount of sushi and for only $ 5.50 it’s not bad. On the other hand my love roll was delicious. It has big pieces of eel with shrimp tempera & avocado inside with sweet sauce(eel) for $ 8. It was very filling and delicious. If you like eel I recommend getting this love. Also, it does take them awhile to finish making the rolls, but it is worth the wait. Also, Justin the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions and provided excellent customer service. One side note: There is 42 pieces of Sashimi for $ 45 and I’m going to get this next time. Sounds like an excellent deal.

Great service, okay sushi, and cheap prices. This place is a small hole-in-the-wall spot that is family owned and operated. I looked this place on Unilocal when I was looking for a spot that does take out sushi. I called them up to place me order and the order time was 20 minutes, so nice and quick. I ordered the Love roll(shrimp tempura rolls topped with fresh sliced avocado and slices of cooked fish). The avocado was yummy but the roll as a whole was a little dry. It really needed the eel sauce otherwise it would have been dull, but the roll was only $ 8 so I wasn’t disappointed. I was full and it served the craving I had. The service was really great though(very friendly and welcoming) which makes me want to come back and try something else!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I first discovered it while working in my office in Reseda. I wanted to try a new sushi place and I chose Sushi for You mostly because it was the closest to my location and had decent ratings. Once I got to the restaurant, I realized how lucky I was with my decision. My main order there is a Spicy Yellow Tail handroll with 2 orders of salmon and albacore sushi. I topped it off with the Twin Albacore Roll. I absolutely loved the entire meal, and it’s always served in under 10 minutes. The store even provided complimentary miso soup(which I later discovered comes with any special roll). After several visits, I used them to cater a birthday party. The food was ready on time, delicious, and cheaper than every other place we called in the area(Reseda, Tarzana area). Overall, this is easily my favorite sushi place in the San Fernando Valley and has been my go-to sushi place for some time now. Giving this place a 5-star rating is an easy decision. I know you will enjoy it as much as I had.

I decided to give«sushi for you» a try this evening after reading all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, those reviews were a bit over dramatize and a letdown. Yes, sushi prices were cheap, but unfortunately quality wasn’t all that great Potentially telling signs were present the moment I arrived — Parking was challenging since the lot space was also shared with H Salt Fish & Chips and BCD Tofu House. Atmosphere wasn’t particularly fancy, more hole-in-the-wall. Tiny restaurant limited to 4 small tables. All were occupied and we ended up taking our food to go Slow service was another issue. It took forever to get our food, about 30 minutes. While I was waiting for my order, 4 other people who ordered after me got there’s first. We ordered the hungry roll, Danny roll, California roll and poki salad. The rice from sushi rolls easily fell apart when I picked it up with my chopstick and came up short on taste. The spicy tuna lacked heat and was bit too salty. I wasn’t too fond of the poke salad. It was disgusting and soupy. None of the mixed greens and flavor from the marinade complimented one another. The tuna portions were minimal and didn’t taste fresh. Surprisingly, the best roll from the bunch was the California Roll. Sushi for you was definitely not for me. Though the price was right, it certainly didn’t leave much of on an impression. There are ample sushi restaurants in the valley that are just as affordable and better.
