Well it’s remodeled appropriately for the busy Rest on area… dual drive thru lanes are a plus… the inside is now geared towards the IT crowd that works nearby. Gone is the play area… replaced by 7 tables and a booth., really an attempt at maximizing seating area which is good but not in a efficient way… seating encroaches on the front so when people come in to order and if it’s busy you may have a perfect eye level view of someone’s tush or they may be gawking at you as you eat while they wait their turn. They shrank the side length of the store… of seating area which is beyond me as to why …maybe larger fridge /freezer in the back… but it’s over and done with. i think they should have expanded the footprint in front more… squared it off and they could have added more tables without taking away the play area for families that call Reston home… just my two cents.

Although the food is very good, I was very disappointed to see they feel it necessary to use MSG in their batter for their fried chicken sandwiches. Not everyone can tolerate MSG, and unfortunately I am one of them.

On my way to work, I’m at awe at how many people are waiting in the drive through at 9am. One day I just said eh why not. The line goes by super fast, its great! They got their stuff together at this Chick-fil-A because its like bag out the window soon as the person pulls up. They always two different drive throughs that merges into one to pay. I haven’t been inside yet so I can’t tell you what improvements they did but I am really impressed with their service. It does get congested but I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 10 minutes from when I go into the line to when I pay. Maybe I just get lucky when I go. ;)

Gave this location a second chance a month after the reopening and they failed miserably, again. 19 minutes to get through the drive through at 7PM. This location was a mess before renovations; now it is a total disaster. Previously, the service was slow and unappreciative given how long customers would wait in the drive through and it looks like nothing has changed. Twenty minutes to get through a fast food establishment’s drive through line is absurd and unacceptable; however, it appears it will continue to be the norm at this facility. This place has never been run appropriately and it shows that refurbishing the interior and adding a second drive through lane for ordering is useless unless they address their operational deficiencies. The Fair Oaks location is newer and consistently quicker. In the end this location makes fast food inconvenient.

Remodel is the biggest debacle ever for dine in. Less room to stand around and be ignored while watching employees focus on to-go business. Seating is now more like a NY deli. Room is Cold! No playground which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. Lost my business.

The redesign is just horrible. How do you make the decision to redesign and the place becomes less friendly and a complete nightmare to visit? My kids loved going to this location for their awesome play area which thanks to the redesign is now replaced with 2 small tables. So let me get this straight — you removed an awesome play area for 2 small tables. Hmm. I will gladly drive the extra 2 miles from my house the opposite direction to the fairfax location. If it wasn’t for the name brand following this place would be headed for the toilet. I hope the owner realized how upset his once loyal family having customers are and bites the bullet to do a second redesign to bring back the play area and family atmosphere. Wow what an epic fail this was. Hope it didn’t cost a lot as it wasn’t close to money well spent. Take a look at other reviewers photos for just how plain and cramped this inside is now.

My family waited eagerly for the redesign to be completed because we loved coming to this Chick-fil-A several times a week. Excitement tuned to horror when we walked into the updated restaurant. The kids playground is gone. Seating space seems to have been cut in half. Tiny tables have replaced most of the booths and are crammed next to each other. Apparently the kitchen was doubled in size to accommodate the drive through where apparently most of their profits come from. Chick-fil-A obviously has no obligation to families — profit is the goal of course — but we are still sad to be giving up our weekly trips here. We really loved this place before they changed it :(

To The Design Team(Remodelers), What were you thinking? When a place remodels it’s usually an improvement but unfortunately not in this case. What’s changed? 1. Before there was 1 drive-thru which would cause massive backup in the parking lot. Now there’s(2) side-by-side lanes for drive thru so twice the congestion in the parking lot. 2. Remember all the tables there used to be with plenty of padded booths? Well, forget that. They shortened the room where all those tables were and reduced size to 1⁄10th its original size not to mention removed the padded booths. 3. They removed the play area for children to fit tables in but they’re so close together you better be on friendly terms with your neighbor. They did add a padded bench-style seating on one side of tables but you’re still packed tightly together so if you have something juicy to tell your pal you might want to re-think that idea. 4. Because of the new configuration inside the restaurant, if there’s any long lines you’re going to be standing in one of the rows next to a table blocking people giving someone a butt view. Who wants people standing right next to where you’re trying to eat? 5. They’ve made accessing the condiments more inaccessible where now you have to reach down to get your utensils when previously the area they had originally set up was more central and at eye level but no more! 6. They used to put a vase of a couple fresh flowers on each table but not anymore. Tables are bare. So overall they’ve put an emphasis on getting more cars thru the drive thru and enlarged the kitchen which drastically cut into the space they used to have with so many tables(plus padded ones) so to me this is definitely not an improvement. Now it looks like your typical fast food place inside with no ambience. What a shame as I was hoping they’d at least improve the congestion in the parking lot with regard to the drive thru and leave the interior alone. Just a bummer but at least the food quality is still good so that’s a plus! Just my 2-cent observation.

I used to go here all the time, but now after the remodel they’ve got me thinking I’ll rarely if ever go back. They’ve cramped the food ordering area and now a single line extends out the front door which is terrible for people coming in the main side entrance. Before there was access to several order lines whether coming in the front door or the main side double doors. Now there’s one feeder line that runs up a walk way out the front single door, so if you walk in the side double doors you have to walk in a highly congested area to reach the back of the line and will likely be standing outside or somewhere in between with the front door wedged open as the line is pushed out it. Whoever designed the plan for this remodel should never design an interior for a fast food establishment again, they took this Chic-fil-A several giant leaps in the wrong direction. One would expect enhancements, but this new designs hampers customer flow and is just a bad design. It also looks crappy where they eliminated customer seating and sealed it off but did not fill in the windows with brick, so there are two very large bay windows that have black all over them, where before one was able to see in the windows from outside the establishment. I walked in, took a look and turned around and walked right back out. In those moments I asked a few people I saw coming in and leaving if they’d eaten here previously and all that said yes, and also every single person agreed they ruined the customer dining experience. I heard a lady on the phone outside telling whoever she was talking too«Don’t come here it’s a disaster, they ruined the restaurant». I could not have agreed more, they ruined this restaurant. I get that Reston mom’s used to bring their kids to the play area and stay there for hours, which is why management wanted the play area removed. However you should not have cut down the original seating area and shrunk the food ordering area. To close for 2+ months and deliver this sorry excuse for an upgrade back to your customers will only hurt your business. I won’t be surprised if this Chic-fil-A only declines moving forward, I think it’s best days are behind them unless they go through another remodel to fix all these issues they made for themselves.

Their parking lot is a nightmare! 8 spots and the drive through can manage 5 cars then requires you to line up to the main road! The construction I see is to the building and not the traffic flow.

I’ve had consistently good service and great Chick-fil-a food here many times. To the guy who wrote the 1 star review– you were there 90 minutes before they closed for a 6 week renovation on 8÷21÷2015, which is still ongoing. Not a fair review. I’m sure if you return to the area after they reopen you will change your opinion.

I move around quite a lot and have always considered chick fillet a good go to fast food choice because of how impressive and quick they handle their logistics. This chick fillet should not be on the list. Today I tried to dine in with them at 1:15 and they said that they were out of food except for chicken salads. Luckily I just had a short walk from work but people were driving from far away. A fast food joint with limited things on the menu that can’t even make it through a lunch service? Wow… Stay away!

This pains me to have to do this, but The Worst Chick-Fil-A ever!!! I would give them no stars if I could. The drive through line is hours long during lunch and dinner hours. Every other CFA has figured out how to make a huge line go fast. Its sad when I choose Taco bell or Mcdonalds over CFA. And i love CFA. Worked at one for years. Just for fun. The customer service here is and just about everything is sub standard CFA quality. On a brighter note the food is still good. Great job Cooks. I still drive 20mins to fair lakes instead.

This Chick-fil-A is like fast food on Steroids! The staffs are super nice and what other fast food chain says«My Pleasure»?! I’m a regular here and they don’t disappoint ever! What do they put in their chicken? Crack?! :) As others have mentioned, management did some work training the staffs as they are super courteous(offering to take away your trays, and refills. WHAT?!) All in all, this place is the bomb(Yes, literally. When you first take that bite out of the Chicken Sandwich with their signature Chick-fil-A sauce your face will explode… with emotions)!

I definitely fall into that category of; ohhhh I really fancy a Chick Fil A number 4 meal. The food tastes great, and the service is fantastic, BUT there are fundamental issues that ruin the meal for me. 1) MSG — just don’t do it — make your food stand up on it’s own. 2) Where does your Chicken come from? Not a single hint of Free Range or Organic supply. I have to suspect caged birds in horrible conditions, feed on GMO corn. 3) All the other additives, leave them out! 4) Styrofoam cups. C’mon CFA, get onboard with the way to do things in 2015. If you don’t change this will catch up with you. Then you will be nothing more than Wendies, and McDs.

Spicy chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful. Fruit cup tasted fresh. Fries were crispy and hot. No other quick service restaurant really compares to Chick Fil A in terms of quality and overall customer experience. Earlier today I read an astonishing stat which caused me to stop by on my way back from the airport for a quick lunch – Chick Fil A has higher gross sales than KFC, with a third the stores nationwide and only being open six days per week! It makes sense after eating food from each. Wish there were a location close by me!

I have loved Chick-fil-A forever! This restaurant was clean, the staff are very courteous and respectful. I always eat here when I am in town. I recommend everyone visit a Chick-fil-A and enjoy the sandwhich.

Always a good experience here. The drive thru has never screwed up my order. Then again, it’s a pretty simple menu. The inside is always clean. This place gets CRAZY at lunch, but they get folks through the line quickly. And, like any Chik fil a, the staff is ALWAYS courteous. Two reasons this didn’t get 5 stars — the parking here isn’t that great. Not that there aren’t enough spots; it’s just hard to get out of sometimes because of the layout. The other reason is that they don’t enforce the«no food or beverage» policy in the kids play area. I don’t need to see used straws or napkins in an area where my kids are authorized to play. I also see families eating and drinking in there all the time with restaurant employees literally talking to patrons — and not enforcing this policy. Overall — good chain and good restaurant. You can’t really go wrong with Chik fil a or their values.

Wow. This was the first time I’ve been to THIS Chick-Fil-A and I have to say I was impressed with the level of service. …and how busy it was! Usually Chick-Fil-A has good service — I know the whole«My Pleasure» mantra they put in the Kool-Aid back in the kitchen. But there were employees walking the dining area, pre-bussing tables and offering drink refills. Whaaaaat? At a fast food chain? I tried the new grilled chicken sandwich with bacon on it. Added honey mustard and it was good. That being said, probably won’t get it again anytime soon. It was about $ 6JUST for the sandwich. I may be a dollar menu scoundrel when it comes to fast food(which I generally try to avoid); and I realize that Chick-Fil-A is probably higher quality fast food… but still, $ 6 for a FF sandwich is just too much in my opinion. For $ 6 I’d rather put it towards a non-fast food meal or even get a Chipotle burrito or something which i think is better and more filling for about the same price or a buck more. That being said, I give this location 4 stars, because of the customer service… Impressive. I mean, I figure people know what Chick-Fil-A is by now, so my rating is primarily based on this specific location, rather than the food per se. Keep up the good work, Chick-Fil-A Reston. Oh yeah, and when I mean busy at lunch… I mean, you almost might as well take a cab. The parking lot was nuts.
