J.Crew

It’s j. crew — great styles and I believe that their clothes are sustainable and isn’t destroying other country’s environments. Well, hopefully its not! I’ll need to check but none the less — Why did i get them ³⁄₅? Well, although the clothes are great, thats the company, not the actual store front.
So, why the minus 2?
Yea…If you could NOT put the sale sign right next to none sale items, that would be great!
They had a «30% off shirts» sign on the shelf, yet the shirt that I chose which was right next to the sales sign was NOT ON SALE! I even took a picture of it to show the cashier and she said sorry and checked to see if it was discounted online. Again, the item i had was a shirt next to the sign «30% off shirt» sign.
This is almost like a bait and switch. TSK TSK TSK

I had such a great experience here– I had to write a review to share! So I went here yesterday after a long trip home from my parents house. I needed a gift and knew Jcrew was an easy choice for quality and classic style. I immediately went to the men’s shop (to the right when you first enter) I was greeted kindly by a male employee and then began to browse trying to find something nice but very simple –since gift giving for men can be difficult. I was indecisive regarding the sizes and consulted a male employee on the largest sizes carried in store. I like that while the store had several customers-​I was still able to ask questions and not have to search for an employees assistance. When I was ready to check out I was helped promptly and my purchase was also on sale even further than originally marked. I have visited the Tysons Galleria JCrew as well as several other locations and I usually am disappointed by the service and organization. This JCrew helped salvage my general opinion– and I will be back soon to find something for myself !

since my review in may 2010 then november, 2010, there were still moments when I walked past this J. Crew in Reston, burned by my previous experiences. But alas, I must come back, some 4 odd years later and say that i think things in this J. Crew in Reston have improved dramatically. I’m now greeted when I come to this store. I actually am quite a fan of their new-​ish staff. Had a wonderful talk with one of the sales associates a few weeks ago… ah, wish i had caught/​remembered her name. She was so sweet.

Just finished nearly all my Christmas shopping in one visit to JCrew Reston with the expert help of the lovely Nicole :-). The entire staff were super friendly and the holiday sale fantastic. Nicole gave this clueless guy shopper excellent female perspective on sizes and style. Thank you Nicole & JCrew Reston!

I really like J. Crew clothing, but this store is small and the selection of men’s clothes is really limited. The salesperson who «helped» me was totally clueless. I mean TOTALLY clueless. He told me things which were directly contradicted by the clothing label. Clearly he was just making stuff up in the absence of actual knowledge. Too bad, I’ll just continue to order stuff online.

I stopped into the Reston Town Center location today to apply for a position I saw listed on Craigslist. The add said to come in person and apply. As I walked in, the gorgeous J. Crew displays caught my attention (as always) and I got lost in my own world! I picked up a few pairs of socks and continued browsing. I over heard two female sales associates about 10 feet away from me whispering and the older of the two says «WAIT…HER???» and looking in my direction. The younger of the two (with brown hair) gave me a look only the devil himself would give and as I continued around the corner, she «bumped into» me (hard) without saying anything and continued into the back room. I am SHOCKED at the lack of customer service the women at this store possess. I ended up leaving the socks on the counter and leaving, without an application in hand. There’s no way I would ever want to (or could) work with such people.
I’m a VERY laid back person… but I do know horrible customer service when I see it. Only reason I’m giving a star is because; A. Unilocal requires me to put at least one and B. The store had a great selection.

I recently got a tshirt from Jcrew and after 2 wears there are now two holes in one of the armpits of the tshirt. What poor quality and a waste of money.

This JCrew is definitely a hit or miss, but the associates seem to know this so they are really helpful when you ask them for those special items. The women’s section has more of a selection but their men’s side is slowly growing and getting more of those dressy pieces. I was there shopping for a new outfit for myself and was helped by the personal shopper, Julie, she was GREAT. Very knowledgeable, honest, and willing to help you create an entire outfit. Not only did I leave with a few things for myself I also picked up quite a few staple pieces for my wife. It was a nice experience and I am definitely coming back to this store, now that I have Julie’s card.

This JCrew is hit or miss. It’s not very big, but has the basics, and good sized clearance section.
If you want to be left alone while you shop, come here, the staff won’t reach out, unless they can really tell you need it, or you ask. They’re nice when they do help, but don’t expect them to check on you in the dressing room, make recommendations, or ask if they can help you find anything.
They did help me with the red phone for ordering an item that didn’t have my size in for it, held the items I had picked out in store while I was on the red phone, and then complimented the items I chose, so that was nice.
It’s quiet here on week nights, but will get nutty during the lunch hours.

I like this J. Crew, but it’s not my favorite. I love to look online and then find them in store and decide there. I have found this J. Crew doesn’t have the same selection as others.
Bottom line: good, but not great.

This popular clothing chain just opened in Reston Town Center and is full of the kinds of clothes for young men and women that are classic in design, and not terribly expensive. The store itself is of modest size displaying the women’s clothing up front and the men’s in the back. It is easy to see everything and the apparel is colorfully arranged. They have plenty of salespeople available to help you.
In my opinion, their fabrics are inferior to what the traditional styling would lead you to expect.
