Had a party over the weekend and ordered a party platter of subs, 8 large pizzas and a 6 foot sub! Great food. We have been going to Santini’s for years. This is the first time they have delivered to my home. I spoke with the manager who took my order. He understood how busy we would be preparing for our party so he offered o deliver our food even though we are technically out of the delivery radius. They deliver up to 3 miles and we live a little over 5 miles away. I thought that was very sweet of him. I asked the food to arrive at 5:00. They came at 4:55. Great timing. The food was as good as I expected it as always. I’m very happy with Santini’s service and food. We will be using them for our next big party!

We moved from upstate New York. Santini’s is as close as it gets to good, family owned pizza shop. The pizza is very much Brooklyn style. The Santini fries are really good– slightly spicy(perhaps paprika, along with other spices). Someone commented it is painful to place an order– I have never, ever had that problem. I usually order for pickup.

Love the food. Love the staff. Love the environment. Santinis in reston is absolutely amazing. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. From deli style sandwiches, to pizzas, to soups, they have a little bit of everything. They are always prompt and courteous, no matter how busy they are. The staff takes the time to get to know the regulars and really make you feel like you’re at home. I couldn’t say anything better about this NY style deli.

Sandwiches, Hoagies, Pizza, and Fries with a kick and flavor. Love this place. It’s not close to my office, but I will make an effort to go there. Can’t wait. Remember, this is a Deli! and you should order Deli food! Cheesesteaks, the Godfather are as good as it gets.

I knew their sandwiches were good, but do yourself a favor and try the pizza. Authentic New York and a good price for a big pie if you’re willing to do pick-up.

Rock solid pick for subs. Good pizza. Great curly fries. Jersey Boy(hot sub with roast beef, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo) is my favorite. The Reuben is also very good. While the desserts look spectacular, they often underwhelm. Very kid friendly. Great pick for an easy Saturday lunch.

Well I walked in with my three boys and the place looked nice enough. But oh boy, the chaos of being their customer… You have to go to a corner with no counter, where you stand uncomfortably with a guy who really doesn’t understand English. It’s painful to place an order with him as he writes it by hand on a yellow pad. Then, he disappears, presumably to give the order to the kitchen. He gives me no further instruction. After standing there for five minutes and having him totally ignore me, I ask him«what’s next?» Do I get a ticket to go pay? Nope. «Walk down there and tell them again everything you ordered on your huge order». This is stone-age poor management and horrible customer service. They’re clearly used to shuffling people through a barbaric system with no regard for service. This is not a customer-centered environment. I will say it appears to be clean and the dining room is very large. But so far, my first impression is two stars at best. Everything I wrote above was during our wait for the food. I’ll keep writing after we see what the food tastes like. Here we go… Most of the food came out very fast. But as suspected, the language barrier means the guy out no bacon on the«bacon cheeseburger» I ordered. I should have known based on the confused look he gave me when I ordered. Our sandwiches, my burger, and even the whole pizza they cooked fresh for us have been in the table for quite a while. When he delivered my cheeseburger(sans bacon); I reminded him about my fries. Yet here I sit still waiting for fries that didn’t come with my burger. Aren’t fries the easiest, fastest part of my lunch to prepare? Even if they went back and dropped fries in the deep fried after I reminded him, they still should have come out by now. So basically, I never got the fries I paid for until done with my burger. And I never got the bacon I paid for on my cheeseburger. Massive service fail. Overall, the food is decent and the portions generous. Get some training and logical systems, and this could be a wonderful place to eat. Today, it key my family down, frustrated me, and I probably won’t return. Sad.

Really good sandwiches. Steak fries were good. Didn’t care for the cannoli. Lots of room for seating. Large selection of food. I’ll definitely take my family there again.

BESTCALZONE I HAVEEVERHAD — NOQUESTION. They are great, plus they hire great people to work there. Matt, the owner’s son, is very friendly and accommodating. They have Junior’s cheesecake, too, which is one of the best deserts one could experience. Seriously, the Santini calzone(if you love garlic) is sinfully good. I just feel better emotionally after satiating myself with one. AMAZING!!!

One word: STEAKNCHEESE! I’d end the review now but haven’t met the word minimum! I moved to Reston a few months ago and have been here a couple of times for pizza and for sandwiches(hot pastrami is out of this world). But I had my first carry out Steak-n-Cheese Sub last night and I now see why their signature sub gets all the deserved hype; it was the MOST flavorful S&C I think I’ve ever eaten — I added not one grain of salt or pepper! And I love the steak fries; it’s a large portion that’s enough for me to snack on for the two mile ride home and enough left to enjoy with my sub!

Wanting to buy lunch for the next day after already eating dinner with a friend, I make a quick run into Santini’s to try one of their sandwiches after hearing so much about it. I ended up ordering an italian sub, and thanks to the fatty that I am, ended up devouring it the same night upon returning home. The usual/expected flavors, but at that price point, I can’t complain. Would come back for a casual lunch any day of the week.

I’ve been to the McLean location several times and have enjoyed their sandwiches. I finally had the opportunity to try Santini’s pizza. Some friends and I ordered a medium Formaggio for pick-up and it was absolutely delicious. The pizza was ready within 20 minutes and it was still hot when I came to pick it up. The smell in the car was mouthwatering and I have absolutely no complaints. I always love a good white pizza, but the combination of cheeses, oregano and that perfect crust really made every bite enjoyable. I would’ve taken a picture, but by the time it came to mind, half the pizza was gone and I had inhaled 2 slices. While sometimes I feel their menu items are slightly over priced, I think this pizza was worth it. A medium was perfect for 3 people(2 slices each). I am definitely looking forward to continuing to explore Santini’s menu.

Santini skinny fries have this salty spice powder on them that just really goes well with the sandwich, my chicken salad sub was big enough for two meals. The fries were gone in one sitting though, just can’t stop with these!

This is by far the best cheesesteak in the DC metro area. It costs $ 8 for a regular size but if you really want something amazing you need to get the large and add bacon and mushrooms to it. Its really the only way to go… lol but soooo much more money. I’ve ordered pizza from Santinis as well and while it was just fine you want to come here for the steak subs. From my experience all the locations seem to have the very same experience, which is the idea. Since there is nothing good to eat it seems in all of Herndon/Reston this location is my goto. The other cool things are that they have WiFi for customers, they have a TV to watch games, and they do sell beer although I’ve never gotten it. Also its annoying that they are all about New York sports teams, but I’ll let it slide.

New York + Italian + Deli = Santini’s. Grazi! They’re sandwiches are tasty and make you feel like you’re a boss surrounded by your soldiers who are looking at you with envy and jealousy as you enjoy bite after bite. Their club sandwich, jersey boy and godfather sandwiches are awesome and huge and they aren’t shy about piling on the toppings. Get a side of potato or tomato/mozzerela salad along with it as it makes a complete meal. Surprisingly their pizza is also delicious. Slices are very foldable and taste like true New York pizza with the grease and oil dripping when it’s folded. My only knock is their chicken wings. They aren’t bad but I feel they could be done a bit better with a little less sauce and perhaps more flavor from the meat itself. There’s a lot on their menu so I can always have something different when I go in. Of course if all else fails I can stick to my usual combo: Club sandwich on the sub roll, side of potato salad, and whatever their soup of the day is. Santini’s, you are one spicy meatball!(Spoken in my Italian accent)

First time at this location(been to all the others several times). It’s just like Santini’s everywhere else. Pretty darn good, a little overpriced. The pizza is good, not great. The sandwiches are A+.

Santini’s calzones are the best in the area — even the cheese calzone has a diversity of cheesy flavor! So many layers of cheese and perfectly cooked dough. Just ask for extra tomato sauce if you’re a sauce fan like me! I recommend their subs as well, though I’d rather go to The Deli for solid Italian coldcut sandwiches. Santini’s hot subs are the better menu option than their cold subs. For dessert, you HAVE to see the size of their cake slices — they’re displayed in the glass case by the cash register. Holy hell, you’ll die from happiness. And their cannoli are very good as well, especially when you ask for cinnamon on top. Check this place out if you’re craving a calzone. You won’t be disappointed.

Solid sub shop. Adore the Sicilian which is a great sausage peppers with marinara. Our second fav is a steak and cheese… In the summer(although they have it year round) I love getting their egg salad. We find their 8 inch subs perfect to share for lunch. They also do a 12 inch They also do pizza and other stuff. … but so far we fave stayed in the subs… Friendly folks all around. Order at one end of counter… pay at the other. Look down at the register as there are some great side salads and cakes there! Gets busy at lunch and when the games are on. They have a couple of locations around NoVA. Worth a try… Overall a frequent stop for us

Two stars for soggy seasoned fries and the eggplant parm sandwich. Eggplant parm was watery and flavorless. It would be nice if this joint breaded their own eggplant fritters and seasoned the tomato sauce more. The sausage with onions and peppers was more palatable, but still a sad showcase of what could be an awesome sandwich. Will be back to try it again, as it is very popular for some reason. This location has a lot of seating, including a bar, with a lot of tvs showing various sports events.

Yesterday evening was my first and last time to dine at this location. I’ve eaten at the Oakton location a couple of times and never had issues… Anyway, I went in yesterday for a salad. The chef salad has always been good at the Oakton location, so I decided to order it here. Everything seemed okay at first. A typical salad, nothing special, until… I discovered a piece of plastic in my salad. I don’t know if it came from a bag or packaging. Needless to say, it ruined my appetite. I had eaten about ½ — 2⁄3 of the salad. I actually didn’t complain because I didn’t want them to think I was one of those awful people who eats a good bit of the food and tampers with it to try to get free food. The people working here seemed polite, but the plastic in my food is enough for me to never dine here again. My suggestion to the establishment? Please pay closer attention to how you prepare your food so other people don’t end up eating plastic or worse.
