Starbucks

The people are nice that work there, but this is the second time I’ve been there and no WiFi. Kind of important for a coffee shop th these days…

Local Starbucks for me, been going for years and always had a pleasant customer service experience. This location gets busy but they manage well and keep the drinks coming out. Keep up the great work!

Walk into to order and it was 7:59pm, walking up to the register and was told they just closed??? As she was just handing another customer change for their order. What Starbucks closes this early? Wasted trip out in the cold to try a new drink.
Also, what place of business has customers inside, ready to pay, before cleaning up has began– turns away their customers? It’s not like the rest of the patrons there at the tables were leaving anytime soon and there wasn’t time to make a drink –_​_​–

Been a while since I update my review of my favorite Starbucks.
This location can get slammed at peak hours like rush going to work and at lunch time. So the Starbucks ordering app comes in handy for these times.
Everyone here is amazingly friendly and helpful. I also adore when there isn’t a line (yes it happens) some of the baristas can do a bit of art on my drinks.
So thanks to all my baristas for making me feel welcome everytime I walk in.

This one has a clover machine which is my reason for choosing this location. There is normally a rush in the early morning but the staff seems to get them through. Kurt is normally the main cashier and always has a smile on his face. Shannon is a long timer and knows how to place the staff at busy times. Another new member, Jill, is super efficient at running the floor when its busy. The baristas are good but they can spend too much time talking and not paying attention to customers. You will find this starbucks larger and more roomy compared to most in the area.

I’ve been going to this location for the past 10+yrs. The service has always been outstanding.

By The Way, I am highly satisfied with the way that the ordering section of the Starbucks app worked. Had absolutely no negative problems in using it. It is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. What I ordered was accurate and professional and I was not disappointed at all By The Way. Two thumbs up!!!

Cool heads behind the coffee bar make the hot and cold drinks at this busy suburban Starbucks. When school is in session nearby, it gets heavy crowds after school and the baristas do a superb job of keeping the lines moving and the drinks coming. It has very friendly and knowledgeable staff who take the time to make sure that you’re happy with your order. As for the ambience, it is top-​notch as the company has invested heavily in this Starbucks with a recent redesign that gives patrons a lot of outlets to plug in their mobile devices and laptops. What’s more, it offers the Clover brewing process for all coffees, not just the reserve coffees. All of these things – the great staff, the major redesign, and the Clover brewing opportunities – make this Starbucks a winner and the pride of South Reston.

Standard Starbucks experience. I definitely went at the right time — after breakfast and before lunch. No one was in line, and I got my order pretty quickly.

I have been going to this location for over six years and they are wonderful. They are very friendly and efficient. They remember regular customers by first name, which is a big deal to me. There customer service is top notch.

I’ve been to many Starbucks, and this is one of my favorites. It’s within walking distance to my house, which helps but that’s by far not the only reason I like it.
The store is about medium-​sized for a Starbucks, yet I’ve always been able to get a table. Most seats are in reach of an AC outlet, only a couple are not. The tables are usually quite clean, and they even have a couple of comfortable armchairs. Like many Starbucks, they have substituted some seats for a long bench which is only comfortable to sit at for 20 or 30 minutes without your back or butt starting to hurt!
I can’t say enough good things about the staff here. They are extremely friendly, most of them ask your name, and after coming here more than a handful of times, a couple of them started actually calling me by name without asking for it. They’ve helped me find a fitbit that I dropped under an armchair, and gotten me new drinks when a wobbly table tipped a latte on me.
Despite what some others have posted here, I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes in line, maybe 8 tops, but average is probably just a minute or two. Of course it varies depending on the time of day. There are times you might want to avoid if you don’t want to deal with big lines and lots of noise:
1) Morning as early as 6:30am people start to really crowd in, and this doesn’t seen to let up until after, say 9am.
2) Starting ant 3:00 — 3:30pm or so, you have the high-​schoolers from nearby Southlakes HS bombarding the place, some of whom hang out, do homework, and hit on each other.
3) Weekends, especially mornings from 8:00 or 9:00 on can get pretty busy as well.
There may be other times that I don’t know about, as I’m not here all the time, but this is what I’ve noticed.
The other thing to mention is that this place has become a neighborhood hangout in a big way. There are the high-​school kids as mentioned, but there’s a definite «breakfast club» of a much older (as in senior citizen) persuasion, who are quite friendly and inquisitive to anyone else who happens to site nearby and peaks their interest. Luckily, then haven’t started chatting me up yet, possibly because I put headphones on fairly quickly after coming in, lol. Believe it or not, this group, who occupies the one long table in the place, is by far the loudest source of noise in the place throughout the week, which is why I end up putting headphones on. This is probably the only downside that I have to coming here, as it would be nice not to have to wear headphones to drown out the noise from this table. It’s possibly because some of these folks are a bit hard of hearing, or they may just be naturally boisterous, but whatever the case, they make it so that I can’t concentrate on what I’m reading, so headphones end up being a must. So just a forewarning that most mornings anywhere from 7am to 10am give or take you may have to do the same!
All in all, though, I think this is a model Starbucks, and certainly Starbucks can’t control the idiosyncrasies of the people who come, and I may just be overly sensitive to ambient conversation that others may have no issues with.

Coffee and service here ok, bathrooms here not so bueno. Their bathrooms are a disaster on the weekends and I vow to never step a foot in the bathroom there again! It was worse in there an a festival port-​o-​potty! Also, how can a Starbucks location still not be recycling these days? It really seems like it would be against everything they claim to be. Trash cans are filled to the brim with their plastic cups… very surprising and such a shame.

Decent choice for some morning (or afternoon) joe. Everything is brand standard; although the layout is a little wonky, and as such, the line will go out the door when it is crowded. But it moves quickly, so it’s only awkward for a short period of time. Staff is friendly and efficient, plus there is free wifi and ample seating. I am a fan.

Seriously understaffed for the amount of traffic they get during peak hours. They really need to have an experienced team during rush hours when the lines are going out the door. But lately, every time I’ve come during a busier time, it’s very clear that the cashier barely knows what he’s doing and is literally holding up the line.
All I wanted was a quick cup of drip coffee to give me a boost on my long way home (hoping to help keep me attentive on the road). I ended up with literally a 15 minute delay when I thought I was just stopping for a quick pick-​me-​up. The cashier did not know how to enter different coupon codes and was also confused by the drink orders themselves as they rung up before me. I was perplexed by how multi-​tasking seemed to be out of the vocabulary of the workers and with a line out the door, you’d think that they would switch staffing up.
I hope they get their act back together because this is the most conveniently-​located Starbucks for me!

I felt like I wanted Starbucks really bad. Found this store and as I got in I went… Oh Gosh it’s packed and I don’t have much time … Decided to stay in line … And then WAW… This team can really move fast and also take care of every costumer in a personal level that is just fantastic …
Noticed they have a lot of regulars … No surprise… I was out within 4 minutes … Very impressive … And my drink was just perfect.

This is an excellent Starbucks. It’s been my go-​to Starbucks for around 5 years now, but an experience I had the other day made me feel I should review it.
I recently decided to go vegan, and came in for my dose of caffeine last weekend before a long road trip to upstate NY. In my flurry of trying to remember to make sure I got my drink with soy milk instead of regular, I forgot to include my additional 2 shots of espresso (so I wanted 5 shots in my venti). This is something like $ 1.50 extra, more or less.
It was pretty busy so I had to wait a little while til the drink came out, and I was in a rush. When they called it, I realized I’d forgotten to add the espresso – basically defeating the purpose of getting a venti (to compensate for the extra espresso). I was bummed because 1) I needed all 5 of those shots to have the energy for the drive! and 2) my calories are precious to me and I did not want to waste them on a venti if it wasn’t strong enough!
I was in too much of a rush to wait in line and re-​order, etc., so I was about to leave when my sister suggested I just ask them if they could add the extra espresso – she had been a barista at a coffee shop in college and said it really isn’t that big of a deal. So, I politely told them I’d forgotten to ask for the extra espresso and was wondering if they could add it, and I could pay. The girls making the drinks were SO nice – even though they were crazy busy, they took my drink back and added the 2 shots, didn’t charge me and were even friendly about it.
Considering the amount of money I spend in Starbucks in general but particularly that location, I of course think this is completely appropriate – but you never expect fair, decent treatment from big chains like that. That’s what I call good customer service!

Stopped in the middle of the afternoon during the Relay for Life at South Lakes High School, we had a very large order, including (2) boxes of coffee. The staff was very nice, brewed fresh coffee, and provided us with cups, and drink holders, and cups of cream to take back to our teammates.
We were all very tired and it was nice to be able to walk in, get exactly what we needed, and sent on our way with a smile!

My favorite Starbucks in NOVA DC area! Nice new makeover gives the place a modern feel with wood juxtaposed with stainless steel. Great service and staff who remember your name and your order! Great drinks– milk is never scorched even when I order extra hot. Wifi service is fast and consistent. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Best Starbucks in Reston. They have a few seats outdoors to sit in and service is quick.
