Great beer selection but super pricey. Always packed and no room anywhere to feel comfortable. It seems that they jam too many chair into the bar and way too many tables for the space. I wish there were better options around here but that’s not really the case.

I’ve only been here once but when I did, it was one of the best nights ever! Great time with a friendly atmosphere!

Beer selection, tvs and staff are definitely above average. The food(they feature a pretzel) is really sub par for even a bar. But the worst is the smell. The kitchen is open to the«dining room» and there has to be an issue with the hood ventilation. Smells like fried food. It’s sometime subtle, yet if you stay for a beer or two, your clothes will reek of it. Won’t go back until they fix the issue.

This place is good. Service was kind of slow, but maybe because it was busy. We ordered the meatballs for the appetizer which was delicious. Very flavorful, wished it was a bit warmer. Then we ordered two sandwiches, one chipotle one and another was southwest. Both came out great and their French fries are really really good! My sandwich was flavorful. The chicken was moist and the bread was soft. I had two perfect storms and they were good too, preferred a bit stronger. I liked this place and over all had a good experience. When you come in and you sit yourselves which is kinda different. Family friendly too. I recommend.

Wife pointed out that it was«mostly dudes» hanging out after work on a Monday, but the beers were good. Had a flatbread of some sort off the happy hour menu. Good stuff. Friendly, attentive staff. Worth a visit if you’re in town, but probably not worth a trip if you have a local craft brew joint.

I went for Tuesday nght trivia. It was pretty crowded, but a fun atmosphere. For food I split the black and Blue flatbread with our group, which was pretty large for the cost and tasted good. I also had the spinach artichoke dip which was decent. For drinks I had an Irish Mule that looked like a signature cocktail from the menu. I was not impressed, it was very sugary and weak. After that i switched to a couple chocolate porters which were really tasty. Our server was really slow and inattentive. At one point she spent a significant amount of time eating a cupcake with what appearered to be a group of her friends. I was frustrated in the slow service, but the drinks and food were alright. I plan to come back again for future trivia nights.

Be aware,“World of Beer” does not stock Bud Light, Miller Light, Amstel Light or something similar. In a larger group you always have someone who does not like to drink the finest IPA crafts. Also many people come after work and need to drive home. it would be more responsible if those beers would be offered as an option. Don’t waste your time to order any food, it takes ages to come and it is not good. If your beer tastes off, check the expiration date on the bottle, some of the beers are not sold enough to get rid of old stock.

If you’re in the RTC area this is a great place to grab a drink or some better-than-average bar food. There is a wide selection of beer to choose from, hence the name. The food selections are decent; options from breakfast/brunch to apps and sandwiches. We’ve been here a couple of times and both times I’ve noshed on the life-sized pretzel which is nothing like an actual German pretzel, but I like it with the spicy queso sauce. My one complaint about this place; its somewhat on the smaller size and in the middle of the restaurant they cram the tables in. Therefore, if the place is packed(Sundays for football), you’re having to a weave in-and-out between the tables which is a little annoying. Wait staff service is okay, not great by any means, but not terrible either. Both times we’ve been we had the same waiter and he clearly wanted to be anywhere but work. He wasn’t rude, just slow and evident he wanted to be elsewhere. Overall, good addition to RTC and worth a try.

There’s a wide craft beer selection and from time to time you’ll find some rarities, but they do a poor job of advertising tap-takeovers or special events. I usually find out last minute and miss most of the ones I would have liked to attend. Their prices are pretty high even for a «bar», so expect to pay 2 – 3 times retail. As a beer nerd, I can find most of their bottles at local bottle shops or grocery stores much cheaper. So I only come here for special beers on tap. I also really like their large pretzels. About the only food I enjoy here.

Oh the disappointment! This place looks so awesome from the outside! But you step into a promising-looking interior, and things go downhill from there. It’s not all bad, but I’m trying to weigh the positives vs. negatives and it decidedly tilts to the wrong side… First the positives: Place physically is really cool. It’s big, has TVs everywhere turned to various sporting events of the moment. They have tons of beer on draft, and the main dishes were pretty darn good. I had the crab cakes entrée and my buddy had the flank steak. Bite of the steak and it was pretty good. The crab cakes had a lot of crab in it, and appropriately tasted… crabby. That’s a good thing. Then, the negatives: First and foremost, their gals need some serious customer service training. Smile, it doesn’t cost you anything! In fact, not smiling probably costs you a good 25% less in tips. Also, knowing the appropriate time to service the patrons might help. Coming over to ask if everything is okay, asking if we want to BUY more beer when their glass is empty(you know, profit?), coming by to take orders, these are all important part of serving. Second, their chips and salsa — that you pay for — are BAD. Seriously, that has to be stuff from the local Giant store. Do not get this appetizer. Third, can they please space out the seating a bit more? Any time you want to get from point A to point B, you have to walk all the way around all the tables to get there because the stools are so close to each other. Especially when the place is packed on a Wednesday night(why?), it’s pretty impossible. I mean, seriously, you basically have to walk around the whole dang place to get to the next table! Anyways, bad experience if for nothing else than the servers. Great place to go watch games though. Table-for-1 Factor: Well, they have a bar but I would think you stick out if you’re there by yourself…

We came in for a beer and snacks. The place was overrun with the folks that work at the Town Center. The service was pretty slow and getting a drink was way to tough. We ordered several appetizers which took forever to show up. I tried all of them and only the calamari stood out as being decent. I have been to other bars in the Town Center just after work and they handle the chaos mush better than this place. Wasn’t impressed and won’t be back. Should have went to Jacksons!

Got here to watch the Cowboys Eagles game. The place looks very spacious and open. Tried a dark beer Founders Oatmeal Stout Nitro. Very smooth, full-bodied, not as strong as Guinness. Also enjoyed the foam! Very creamy and light.

Whether you’re a beer snob or just want a casual sip, W.O.B. is the spot to go. I don’t even know how people make decisions with all of the options they have. They even have cider which is pretty nice for people who are allergic to beer, such as myself. Also, the food is wonderful. I had the crab pretzel, which I felt I ate way to fast cause it was SOGOOD. The venue is pretty nice, indoor and outdoor seating, plus live music

I was not expecting to like a place known for beer since I don’t drink beer but there I was, sitting at an outdoor bar table enjoying delicious mixed artisanal cocktails one summer night. And guess what? Both drinks I had were great! In addition to all the beers, expect to find an appealing food menu and very classy, unique mixed drinks. The drinks here are the real deal and they are done right.

Been here several times and each time, the food has been delicious and service is great. Of course you gotta try some new beers because their selection is enormous. Don’t stick to the regular stuff! Though happy hour is $ 1 off domestic. My favorite is the blueberry beer, can’t remember the name but its so good. WOB is located right next to Bartaco, which is down on the other end of RTC behind Jackson’s. It’s usually not too bad on weekdays and weekends afternoon, night time is crazy packed. They have live bands, trivia night and some other events throughout the weekdays. The beer pretzel is one huge pretzel that comes out on a hook, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a bit of salt(I just take the salt off). It comes out with a choice of yellow mustard, dijon or brown mustard and you can get the beer cheese for extra. Of course the beer cheese is the best, not a huge fan of mustard anyways. I am a huge fried pickle fan and the frickles here are just OK. The outer layer is too thick and not as seasoned as I like. I still get them though. The beer cheese fries is one of my favorite apps. Its simple with sour cream and bacon but that beer cheese just makes it 10 times better. The Margherita flatbread pizza is the best thing on the menu. It’s a pesto sauce with fresh argula on top and drizzled with a sweet balsamic glaze. Drooool! You have to try it. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out and try new beers! The prices are not overpriced and the food portion is pretty decent. I’ve never had a problem with customer service as everyone is nice and the servers usually help each other out. Do come early on weekend nights because it will get packed quickly and the place is fairly small. Now that I work close by… this place might start to be a problem for HH.

It has a very large and awesome variety of beer, the bar has a giant fridge of bottled beers and they have a lot of beers on tap. The food is pretty good too, the pretzels are here are huge, buttery and delicious and they come with a spicy beer cheese. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, but very loud and can get crowded very quickly. They have a built in stage for live music on the weekends and the staff members are pretty relaxed.

Went here for a company happy hour a few weeks back. There wasn’t enough seating so they legitimately told us «you can stand at the bar.» REALLY? i wasn’t aware I can stand at the bar, but thanks! After someone was kind enough to let us take his table, we were waited on very quickly and effitently. The service was fast, the food was fresh and we were always stocked up on beer. Good place to watch games and hang with a group of friends. GREAT pretzels and BBQ chicken pizza.

Along with about 5,000 other persons, I enjoyed some of the second round of March Madness here. Even though the Hoyas went down to the Runnin’ Utes, I passed a most enjoyable evening and was impressed by how this establishment handled things. World of Beer had a game plan and was ready for the crush: floor crews accommodated and hustled big time; food was nicely done and delivered fast; and samples of beer flowed. I had a lovely seared ahi tuna with a killer ginger dipping sauce that merits an honorable mention. And two beers, a porter and a stout, that I imbibed for the first time were satisfying – Champion’s Megaladon and Laughing Dog’s The Dogfather. One more star is deserved.

I came to World of Beer on a night a friend was playing a gig there, and I happened to have a gift card, thanks to the wonderful world of Unilocal! While the gift card made things fabulous, I unfortunately couldn’t use it to pay for adequate table space or a personal bubble guard. This place was PACKED! And LOUD… Not at all what I imagined. It had that Arlington bar scene going, but it was filled mainly with men in their 30s, rather than college kids. So I suppose it wasn’t as bad as it could be, but this place is not good if you want to hang out with friends at a table and chat over a couple pints. The beer selection was pretty good though, I will admit. But the food was ridiculously priced. I ordered mac and cheese — it was $ 6, but it really should have been maybe $ 3 with the tiny morsel they give you. It reminded me of a grocery store free sample cup — even the dish it comes in looks like a Reeses peanut butter cup wrapper(see photo). Also, their pretzels were pretty good, but not as good as Dogfish Head. The flatbread was tasty. If the atmosphere was more roomy, I think I would have enjoyed the experience far more than I did. I also think the food is overpriced for the quality. If you want good beer and good food, I’d go to Dogfish instead.
