This was not a planned trip. I escorted my Dad to visit a friend who was lodging at a nearby airport hotel. Both wanted to eat and drink but that particular hotel didn’t have any of those options because, like, really?!! Well, at least one of the staff members suggested heading to O’Malley’s which was a car ride down the street.
I was expecting a stand alone pub venue. What I didn’t expect was for this pub to be located inside of a Holiday Inn. Cool. Whatever.
Once there, my Dad and his friend headed to the bar while I took a seat at a table. I ordered crab dip with tortilla chips and sweet potato fries with sour cream. Honestly, I’ve had better. But it fit the bill for some late night munchies.
The noise was to a minimum. Sunday Night Football was playing. Fairly empty.

Nice restaurant inside the Holiday Inn. There was hardly anyone in the place, and I was sat down immediately, and had a chance to look at the menu. I chose the bacon wrapped filet mignon with bleu cheese. Mmm mmm good, though it was a bit small, but it hit the spot. I waited what seemed like a long time for the check to come, but it eventually came after I asked for it.

I came here with a friend for dinner as it was near the hotel where we stayed. It’s not the type of place I usually go for– too many screens and loud music. (If I wanted to watch a game, this would be a great spot!) My burger was fine, if a little dry, but the fries were good, and the service was adequate.

THIS IS THE HOTEL BAR IN THE HOLIDAY INN !!!
I wish I had figured this out from a quick glance at the reviews… before I suggested to a coworker that we meet here for lunch around IAD. I looked like a bit of a fool.
The food was «safe» exactly what you’d expect in a hotel bar. I got fish and chips, and my coworker got some sort of a grilled sandwich. Both were fried and all of the food on both plates was various shades of brown. Props to the serving staff, as they were all great.
Normally, I wouldn’t review this type of restaurant on Unilocal,but I wanted to (hopefully) warn any unsuspecting Unilocalers that you would be rolling into a hotel bar that was buried pretty deep within a hotel, not a «Sports Bar, Pub, American (Traditional)» 3 star meal and a lesson learned!

Inside smelt horribly like cigarette smoke. We thought it may have been the guy at the bar… but it was really really strong. We just stopped for a quick drink as I wasn’t feeling the atmosphere to have dinner there. Service at the bar was good, prices were ok. Good place for a drink or for dinner if you’re staying in the hotel.

I am staying in the spring hill Marriott and ordered room service. Less than twenty five minutes and they arrived. It is a half mile away. The nachos and Greek salad were excellent.

The food and service is just okay. They have a VIP program that they pretend doesn’t exist. When you present it to them you can tell they don’t want to discount your meal.

Nice place to eat! Especially the salmon blt, perfectly cooked nicely spiced. really tasty, nice chips with the sandwich also. Great service if you sit at the bar Rob will be your favorite bartender. Fantastic service!!! Also had the fish n chips, very good. Very clean.

Tonight I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and it was awesome. Our bartender Chi, was fantastic, she is very attentive and always smiling. Plus we never waited for our drinks, she was right on top of it. Love this place!!!

Wow — that has got to be the worst service I’ve seen in years. The appetizer was wrong, the burger was overcooked and I pretty much couldn’t find any waiters for periods of 10 mins or more, and this is a small place. Needless to say, no one ever asked if the order was fine or the food was OK. Anyway, would be fine for a dive bar in a shabby part of town but does not belong in a Holiday Inn as the «official» restaurant.

Not bad for a hotel restaurant/​bar! I have eaten here twice during two separate business trips. First time I had it delivered to my hotel across the way. Very fast delivery — impressive. 2nd time I stopped in and was greeted immediately by a very friendly bartender. She was completely willing to honor my special requests and even double checked with my prior to submitting my order.
Overall: service is solid here. Food is decent as well. Not 5 star but good enough for me to return… I shall be back a third time.

We ate here last night and the food was okay. Nothing to rave about the crab cake was very small for the enormous bun it was on, my fries were soggy but the delivery was fairly quick. When you call to place an order for delivery the number online is to the bar, and the person answering the telephone tells you quickly «this is the bar» she cannot transfer you to the kitchen. So yet another call, when I stay near Dulles Airport again I will not eat here. Just not for Channing and I to eat.

Above and beyond service!
Checked in with host and told us at least an hour wait but since we’ve been trapped here at holiday in due to cancelled flight… We have no choice! Then about 15 mins past and host tells us she made room for us! The waitress said we should try to order quick because there was a huge group about to place their order… Very honest! Food and drinks was great! Nothing special! Overall we were impressed with the honest staff! They were very helpful!

I spent 4 nights here last week, tried a lot of the menu, and had at least one of each beer on tap, plus one out of the cooler. I didn’t have a bad bite, a poor taste, or any other experience that would warrant a negative review. I give 4 stars because no one is perfect. The place is clean, lively, has flat screens everywhere (that the barkeep is happy to change at your request), and there are always neat, friendly people to strike up a conversation with. The bartender Jonie was fantastic. Knew my face after just one trip in, has a memory for days, and works FAST. One of the best I’ve had the pleasure of being served by. I can’t wait to get back to Dulles! Thank you, Jonie!!!
