Las Islas Marias

Shrimp cocktail was expired. It had a bad smell and taste nasty. I told the waiter she smelled it and admitted it was bad. They asked if we wanted something else. No we didn’t. No way I was going to eat anything from this place.

Food is good many people might not like it because they are used to mariscos sinaloa style and this is nayarit style. Anyway today I had a taco de pescado right on point! I also ordered a tostada de ceviche de camaron also very good. My husband ordered a Levanta muerto he said it was very very good. Micheladas are right on point also.
Overall customer service was very friendly and corteous! I will definitely be back again. Next time for a coctel de camaron caliente!

Only one star because the food was alright… service was so terrible our family got there we sat down took like 20 min for them to take the order of our drinks and 20 min to bring them wow there was only 3 other people there fully empty and still took an hour for our food to get there the service was so bad I am never I repeat never coming here again I don’t recommend this place… waitress was so unprofessional it took her 30 min to give refills DONT GO EAT HERE!!!

We ordered 4 shrimp cócteles, camarones a la diabla, Aguachiles, cooked shrimp tostada, quesadilla, and taco de camaron.
–It took a little over 1 hour and 30 minutes for everyone to get their food (the place was not even full. There was no waiting to be seated.)
— Three orders were wrong.
— They ran out of aguas frescas
— The shrimp cóctel had no flavor
— The agauchiles shrimp were not clean. I had to devein the shrimp before I ate them.
— The shrimp on my daughter’s tostada looked old and slippery. I asked her to eat them and she said «Mom they are horrible.» This coming from a 4 year old.
— We got charged for 6 drinks when we only ordered 4.
— Service wad just plain HORRIBLE.
We will not be coming back.

If I had a dog I wouldn’t even feed it the table scraps from this place. It was absolutely disgusting, and that is being nice.
My boyfriend and I both ordered the fried tilapia. The food took at LEAST 45 minutes for us to get our food, and that was when we really started timing it. We didn’t even get an apology.
Usually you get rice, and beans with fried tilapia, but not here, instead we got salad, fish, FRENCH FRIES, and GARLIC BREAD, and the nastiest rice you can imagine. It smelled like it was sitting in the desert for a couple of days. I don’t even want to know what was going on in the kitchen for 45 minutes. I think they ran to Cardenas next door to get our fish, and then looked through their freezer to find some other plate fillers because after smelling the rice you know they didn’t cook any of that other stuff fresh. We told the waitress, and she did absolutely nothing about it. We told her to smell it, and she didn’t even want to.
You couldn’t pay me to go back. You have been warned. Your stomach will thank me later.

The grand opening was May 9^th and all of the food was ½ off. The waiters/​waitress were very polite, friendly however it was understaffed. Can’t blame the workers for that. We ordered 3 different menu items and only received 2, and on top of that we received the items about 20 min apart. The waitress did give me a complimentary margarita for the wait. The food was Ok. Oh they had a live Banda the only thing is it’s way to loud if you want to have a convo.
