This place is right up from my residence of 25+ years. I just started flying this year and it’s very sad that this airport is closing. I’ve met some folks T this airport and most recently met Judy Scholl who graciously took me for a ride in her «Mentor» T-​34 military trainer. Those event took place this past July just prior to the closure of this airport…

I have always enjoyed this small general aviation airport. I have landed here a number of times when I did my basic flight training and even during my instrument training it was used for some NDB approaches. I understand that the airport is scheduled for closure which is a shame, as we continue to lose our general aviation airports.

Lomita, CA
Little airport on the verge of closing. San Bernadino Sheriff’s Aviation Division and Mercy Air are located there. Sad that its not utilized more.
