The Tortas Ahogadas here are amazing! They are as close as you can get to the ones in Guadalajara. We’ve been craving a torta ahogada since we came back from our trip to Guadalajara, & I’m so glad we came here. The service is great, and the food is as well. You will not be disappointed here.

Went here for the firts time to try an original torta ahogada, upon arrival the place is small with mostly booths and few tables but is nice an clean. Service is good and the ladies tending are really nice, I ordered the torts ahogada extra wet and a tostada de pata; the sauce on the torta is really good and they provide you with a bottle of the really spicy stuff on the side, the minus is on the carnitas filling that it was not as fresh but jus added extra sauce. Don’t order the Pata tostada, u was expecting something else but is just two pigs trotters on a tostada shell hut I would definitely return to try other stuff.

This place hs some authentic Mexican food plus great service. I love when food comes out fresh and hot and that’s what you get from here. There salsa and chips are table ready which means freshly made. I love the homemade guacamole. If you are looking for some delicious al pastor or carne asada tacos then this is your place. Forgot to mention the prices are just right.

I had the Torta Ahogada, a couple of Tacos and home made Horchata. It was very fresh and tasty and huge, I could barely finish it.

Had my first torta ahogada almost 17 years ago in Guadalajara and instantly became hooked. I moved out here from Los Angeles and didn’t want to keep driving down there so came upon this place and it’s great! I was sad when it closed down for a while but it’s up again and have a second location in Fontana which is great as well. trust me I already scoped out the place lol. Try it. you won’t be disappointed with their tortas!!!

I recently came back from Guadalajara and tried my first torta ahogada out there and became hooked instantly. Today was my first day back in the states and I was craving a torta ahogada but had no idea where I could find an authentic one out here. Thank God for Unilocal and for Tortas Chapala, otherwise I would’ve had to of take a drive out to LA. Anyways, enough about me and more about the food. I ordered a torta ahogada, it was tasty and it met all the criteria that I had set for a torta ahogada. The bread was crunchy yet soft, the salsa used had a nice flavor and wasn’t too spicy or it wasn’t like tomato sauce. The meat was very moist, tender, and flavorful. Overall I feel that it was really good, but of course nothing you eat north of the border ever taste as good as it does in Mexico. Don’t let my little rant about things not tasting as good in the U.S. Stop you from coming here, the food is good and so is the service.

I was desperately looking for some tortas Friday night because I had bought some form Los Angeles Thursday evening and I was craving them the next day… again. I live out in the I. E therefore, I did not want to drive all the way to Huntington park. I looked online and I found this place… No one can beat the tortas from LA. But these certainly hit the spot. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the same dilemma as me(don’t wanna drive to la). It’s worth it and it’s cheaper. The waitresses there were so nice and kind. I will definitely return when my craving strikes!

Customer service was awesome. It was our first time there today and the lady who helped us was patient and sweet. I’m a taco lover, my son likes tortAs and my hubby likes wet burritos. My son gave the torta 4 stars. It was a good size and looked good from what I saw. My hubby gave the wet burrito 3 stars. That sucker was HUGE but it wasn’t anything to rave about as far as he was concerned. He said it needed guacamole and sour cream. I had 3 tacos: asada, caveza and buche. The buche wasn’t very good but the other 2 were the bomb! I’m a taco lover and I’d definitely come back for the tacos! The prices were very cheap. It was a little less than $ 20 for all 3 of us including drinks. Would we come back? Absolutely. Not the best food we’ve ever had but I’d definitely crave it and come back. Since 2 of us gave it 4 stars and 1 gave it 3 stars but we had good service we decided on 4 stars.

Realmente, a mi me gusto!

Tried the tortas here. They are good but they lack a little bit of flavor. The meat was a little dry for me. Maybe it was just an off day, but good service and friendly environment.

For English, press 1, Para Español, presione el 2 1: I was not in the mood to drive to L.A. For a semi-decent torta ahogada so I searched on Unilocal for inland empire locations, this one seemed worth a shot, and shot down was my hope to find good Tortas ahogadas locally. A small establishment located in a small strip across the Rialto Indoor Swapmeet, really easy to miss… and you should… As previously stated by other Unilocalers, it’s a small mom and pop’s operated business, from ordering to the location of their wares, everything seems and feels chaotic, I sat down thinking they would offer a drink and the menu, instead, I was told to approach the counter, the menu is not extensive but I was here only for the Torta Ahogada, I got excited when I saw Tejuino was part of it, as I pull out my wallet I’m told I pay after I eat, I probably rolled my eyes as im thinking why would I approach the cashier to order and then to pay, The Torta was brought almost immediately which surprised me since it was not steaming hot the way it normally does(spicy salsa tastes hotter when it’s warm), the bread had the right taste, made with salted dough, but it was not fresh, the carnitas and the beans were also pretty bland, it definitely misses a lot of spices and herbs, the onions were not sautéed, they just squeezed lime juice on top as it was served, presentation lacked as well, if they’re gonna use stale limes they could’ve at least place a fresh slice on my plate, the salsa was ok, not bad but it also lacked kick, the Tejuino I don’t even want to go there, no grain salt, stale limes, I might try the tacos next time, but as of now I would not recommend this business. 2: No bueno!

I have been a loyal customer going on about 3 – 4 years. They have the best tortas ahogadas this side of Guadalajara. This is a great family owned small business. They recently expanded which is a HUGE plus. Before, they had about 3 to 4 tables and I remember some people eating tacos standing up. Don’t sleep on the tacos, quesadillas, or burritos they are also BOMB!!! Great prices as well, they have never disappointed. Go there if you have never tried a torta ahogada, u don’t know what your missing. Great hidden Gem in the IE…

Great little place! Had the carne en su jugo and hubby had the torta ahogada. Both of us very pleased with our meals. Service is great! Have to go back and try the tacos de barbacoa since they were out.

The best place around for authentic tortas ahogadas. Just like my grandma makes them. You also can’t beat $.99 tacos! Best value in town. And the best part is that they just expanded next door so now you can actually sit down, eat and watch some tv. The owner is super chill too. This is a small business that’s going places!

Came here for the first time on Friday to try a Torta Ahogada and I only have one word to describe my experience PERFECT in every aspect! The pork meat was perfectly cook and not fatty at all, the bread was delish along with the salsa and hot sauce… And the prices are very reasonable. LOVE this place, my new favorite place for a torta, no one else compares.
