The staff was incredibly rude and Dr. Jivnani wasn’t much better. He kept pushing me to get a deep cleaning and when I said no because the insurance wouldn’t cover it, he informed me it would. But then I received a bill a month later and the insurance company was not covering it and he had sent in two different claims for cleanings. Horrible experience. Don’t go here! Spent two weeks talking with insurance company and office staff to straighten this mess out. Save yourself the hassle and just pick another dentist.

I could have sworn that I already wrote a rave review for Dr. Jivnani! Turns out it was just as a tip on FourSquare. Well, I’ve been going to this dentist for years and just adore him. He is as sweet, personalble, and funny as he is hands-​on and professional. The front desk staff as well as the dental technicians are a joy — I’ve even gotten hugs from a couple of them. (Way to draw out an introvert!) What’s also good about his front desk staff is that there’s never any sloppy confusion (e.g., no «Oh, it turned out you were just here for a cleaning? Had you down for a root canal. It hurts? Yeah, sorry … mmkay, you can pay now.») because they’re always on-​point with everything. Dr. Jivnani isn’t ever late for his appointments with me because he doesn’t overbook — a huge pet peeve. Nice waiting room, too.
When the going gets tough, Dr. Jivnani knows how to make it so you want to bear-​hug him WHILE you pay. That’s good bedside manner.
FYI: I happen to whiten my teeth at home, but FWIW Dr. Jivnani’s Zoom rates are competitive — i.e., not merely the going rate.

Dr. Jivnani contacted me as a result of a negtive review I wrote on Google and Unilocal after a dentist visit in December 2012.
He asked me to clarify that I was not treated by him, but by another doctor. Dr. Jivnani said that he had hired a temporary dentist, who was filling in for him while he was caring for a sick child. He offered me a free exam to get a second opinion.
Based on Dr. Jivnani’s attempt to correct the problem and the fact he does have office staff whom were very pleasant to deal with, I have upgraded my rating from Poor to Good and I have deleted my original review.
