Less than stellar experience true to the reviews of my fellow Unilocalers. The Food Lords have spoke and this place is decidedly par for chain restaurant Tex Mex. Service was fine and we were seated rapidly at lunch time during the middle of the week so that was pleasant. Parking is plentiful as there are numerous other businesses in the same center so no stress there. I ordered the carne Asada lunch special which comes with 1 cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and a piece of grilled steak. The rice and beans tasted like they were made that morning and then saved throughout the day so they were lukewarm and not very tasty. The steak was well seasoned and flavorful but otherwise not impressive. We ordered Queso and they provide salsa for you to dip your chips in prior to the main course and the chips were not flavorful and the salsa was bland. The Queso was acceptable as it tasted like they didn’t just nuke some velveeta so slight win on that front. Overall, probably going to try to not come back but I’m sure I’ll be ok if do eat here again.

I’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it. Tonight they informed us they were closing the restaurant an hour early when we got our food and basically rushed us to finish. I really didn’t enjoy the meal after that. I had guests in town and was very disappointed that I had recommended this restaurant. I’ll know better next time.

Came at Sunday brunch after church but they do serve the full menu. There was not a crowd which should have been a sign. It was my husband and our two boys, 6 and 8. They did NOT have a kids menu. Were told by waitress the kids menu was in her head. Chips were good fresh tortilla chips! Cup of chili con queso was just cheese no chili. Had no flavor and none of us would eat more than a spoonful. Husband and I split the combo fajitas with corn and flour tortillas. Both the chicken and beef meats were tender just as reviews said. Both tortillas were fresh and yummy. The refried beans were bland and the quacamole was sad. Boys had bean and cheese nachos and 2 cheese enchiladas. Again they were both average. I gave 2 stars because the price we paid for our meal was way to high for the quality and lack of flavor we encountered in our food. We will not return.

I saw this restaurant from the highway and decided to give it a try for dinner tonight. I rarely rate establishments below 3 stars, but this one didn’t do itself any favors. First, I came in to order to-go. The hostess was confused, so I decided to make my way to the bar anyway. I sat at the bar, asked for some chips and queso while I decided what I wanted and waited for the order. The young bartender was nice enough. The queso was less queso-y and more like velveeta or cheeze whiz. I can’t put my finger on it. The bartender took my order, fussed about her ‘freaking pen’ being out of ink, and made her way around the bar to put it in. I should have double checked my order at this point, but sometimes you’ve just gotta trust people with what they do. When my food arrived at the bar, I asked for a to go container for the rest of my queso. The manager who’d brought the food over said he’d just get me a new one. AWESOME! That’s customer service!(this was where you earned the second star) Except it wasn’t. Because they didn’t check my order before they handed it to me. And me, silly me, I didn’t either — even though there were TWO to go boxes in the bag. I get home and only ONE of the TWO orders is in the bag — it’s just been split into two boxes. The ‘guacamole tostada’ is a joke… literally a scoop of guac on top of a hard shell. No lettuce, beans, tomatoes, nothing that a typical tostada contains. So now… my boyfriend and I get to share a taco, a scoop of guac, some cheeze whiz, and a beef taco… for $ 20… and it’s a 20 minute drive to get back to this place, so there’s no going back to pick something else up. I understand you win some and you lose some, but man… they sure could have used a win for our taco-lovin’ selves. Completely disappointed in this place.

Come here for work outings a lot. Nice Chips and Dip Selection and they fill your water promptly. Food also comes out on time, what more can you ask for when trying to get a bit of food during a lunch break.

Had lunch here today, I really like the beef chimichanga with chili con carne. I used to get this at another Mexican place that now has significantly fewer locations. This is just as good and convenient. These guys are great Mexican food caterers too.

The cigar smell from the business next door was so overwhelming and completely unappetizing. Add to that the blah blah food and inattentive waiter and we realized there are too many other great Tex-mex places to choose from nearby. We won’t be back.

So the name was a bit of a turn-off at first, Casa Chacha Rough Tex Mex, and getting a very dirty menu could have made a completely bad impression, but the food quality and service saved the day. My Carne Guisada was excellent, and something you don’t see very often in Tex-Mex restaurant. My wife went with a more standard offering, tri-colored enchiladas with rice and beans. She did like the dish, though it seemed on par with other places. Our Margaritas were generous and tasty. Bobby, our waiter, made very good recommendations. Without our asking, he brought tortillas to the table to complement my Guisada because, «That’s how Mexicans eat their Guisada.» We will be back to try more of their offerings, and I’ll be sure to ask for Bobby.

Food was pretty good. The fajita chicken that I tasted was white meat and was very tender. I had an enchilada and carne asada with rice and beans. The beef was a tad tough and med rare like I like it and the enchilada was my favorite and the rice and beans were very good. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff was great. I will be back!

Ate lunch here today and we both got sick. We still feel terrible and neither of us ever get sick. Not to mention it was just a microwaved meal for like $ 14 a plate. NOT worth it. It didn’t even taste decent. All around pretty terrible.

First time here. Sangria was not good. Fish tacos– not good. Chicken in the tortilla soup was dry. Overpriced. Service was OK, but I didn’t like my Sangria or drink it and I still had to pay for it. I won’t be back.

I recently had a horrible experience with the manager at this establishment. I slipped and fell in the restroom due to water being all over the floor. My ankle was twisted and bruised instantly. I informed the manager of what happened with the pure intention of letting him know so that it wouldn’t happen to someone else. The manager immediately became defensive and accused me of throwing water on the floor and stated that I could’ve been lying about it. He said«how do I know how old that bruise is?» Very disappointing. I think the manager could have handled the situation much better and been a little more concerned instead of being defensive. Due to just his reaction I will never be going back to this establishment. They obviously have no care for their patrons safety or well being. Thank God I didn’t break anything.

Drinking my way around DFW, I decided to go pop into Casa Cha Cha after bumping into the bartender at another place. First off, it was a miserable, rainy night and they usually close at 10pm on a Saturday, it was just after 9 and everything was closed down, but they were still serving at the bar. Obviously I didn’t get a chance to try the food but I sat at the bar. Caycie was happy to poor the beer as long as the doors were unlocked and was very friendly. Looks like they have a fairly well stocked bar, but I just had my usual Shiner. There wasn’t a whole lot of ambiance since there were only 1 or 2 tables, but I can see how this place could be quite hopping when it’s full. I notice there’s a bunch of bad reviews on the food, but I’m always willing to take the risk and try it for myself so I’ll definitely be back. Overall, friendly bartender, extra points for serving even though they were closing early, lots of potential. Downside, 10pm is a bit early to be closing on a Saturday night but maybe they get most of their customers from local businesses at lunch and early dinner time. I’m looking forward to heading back and providing a fuller review.

Thought we would grab some Tex Mex and decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered the Asada Lunch: great portion with a hefty size slice of beef cooked just right. You will definitely get full off this plate. The wife ordered the Cheese Enchilada plate: Very large portion for a lunch. Love the the chips and Salsa All in all it was a good lunch that defiantly filled us up. Great atmosphere as well.

Don’t order take out… and don’t ask to speak to a manager. The manager does nothing, but watch the waitress lied to my face. When I asked for a refund the waitress insinuated I just wanted free food. We have eaten here and done to go before;however I cannot begin to imagine how they will stay open much longer. We will not be back!(And they really deserve 0 stars)

I read the negative reviews while we were waiting to eat lunch today… bad time to read reviews, no doubt. That being said… I had a great experience. The service was attentive and quick. I ate the asada on the lunch. It was a very generous portion. While the lunch also came with rice, beans and a cheese enchilada; I opted to get the vegetables instead. The vegetable medley was fresh and tasty…

Maybe it’s just me, but this place just isn’t up to par. The food was very bland, and lacking flavor. The queso dip was just melted cheese… no spices, tomatoes, or peppers. For the lunch price, I would expect much better quality ingredients and more vegetarian options. The service was lacking as well. The waiter tried twice taking my plate when I wasn’t finished. He didn’t ask… just grabbed for it. At one point he told my niece to hand him her plate, while she was still eating. Not awful, but definitely not good, and for sure not worth a $ 30 lunch for two(we drank water).

We dropped in a couple of times in the last month or so. First time I could not find my favorite dish. I inquired, and was told the place has changed hands, and the menu is «new». Well, to that I say«not really» they just dropped some items, and changed some prices as far as I can tell. I was content to order off the menu, even though I was missing my favorite combo that had a Chili Relleno, enchilada, taco and rice and beans. My wife however, is made of sterner stuff, and just told the waitress exactly what she wanted, and lo and behold, the order was accepted with a smile, and no push back. You know how so many places can be when you go off menu. Anyway, the food was good, as was the service. I did note the two folks who are usually in the background were no longer present, but I could never figure out who was in charge. Second visit we brought two couples. Again, good food, friendly service(they guy who keeps your chips and salsa topped up is outstanding) and we had no complaints. One couple recognized several things from the menu, and said he thought the owners must be from a restaurant down off Coit in Richardson. He described the couple, and it matched the folks I knew from here. He told me they originally came from Matts, which explains the similar Chili Relleno, and a few other things. Odd thing was, they said this couple always came and spoke with them at the table. They NEVER did this at this location, as many times as we have been there. Once again, I believe the key to success in this business is to have the manager and/or owner come by each table and greet the guest, and ask if everything is up to their liking. Not only will you endear the customer for life, but you will quickly learn what people have concerns over, and can correct them. Just ask Dale Wamstadt.

Wow. How disappointing. The closest Mexican food to my work is just not good. And SUPER over priced. The shrimp cocktail is a bundle of tomato soup with a few measly pieces of shrimp. No veggies. The chicken enchilada had strange inferior chicken pieces in it. Manager in a sloppy untucked shirt and on his cell phone the whole time. Cook using his fingers to wipe off a plate. Nope. Won’t set food in here again.
