Not impressed at all. It is a waste of money and waste of time. After verifying with both my insurance and the clinic itself, I was assured this location was in network and accepted my insurance. After the exam, my insurance was refused and I had to 100% out of pocket. I have been in weekly communication with the corporate office in an attempt to get a refund on the over payment. It could take months for Minute Clinic to review and consider a refund. At this point, I will have to file a lawsuit in small claims court to get my money back. If you have health insurance, do yourself a favor, and go to a reputable clinic such as CareNow. Lesson learned; I will never go to another CVS.

I’ve never posted on Unilocal,so this is kind of a big deal that I need to address how terrible my experience at the minute clinic was. I went in for a sore throat under a friends recommendation, so I figured, if she went, then it MUST be okay to go to. I couldn’t tell you the doctor at the times name because she never bothered to tell me what it was. She immediately asked for my form of payment first thing. I told her I was there because of my sore throat and how it was difficult to swallow, talk, eat, drink anything. She aggressively tapped my lymph nodes and said they were normal,(which, call me dumb, but I’m pretty sure if they’re swollen, they’re not normal), she asked me to open my mouth to look at my throat, I explained to her that it hurts to open it and she proceeds to say«Oh you can open it, it doesn’t hurt that bad»(like she would know what level of pain I was experiencing, after telling her it was at an 8). She tells me my throat was normal, which I’ve seen my own throat before, and I don’t think that it being swollen to where you can only fit an index finger in it is normal. Agitated, I told her that my throat is not normal because I can’t do what I normally could do before as far as everyday eating/drinking so forth. So I cried, because it’s just frustrating to think you’re somewhere where you think you will be helped and that’s definitely not the case. So she suggests I just gargle warm salt water. If I thought I was normal and only needed to gargle some damn salt water I wouldn’t have wasted time and money on a mediocre and unprofessional experience. She told me if I couldn’t swallow my saliva and start drooling then to go back to her(as if she really thinks I’m going to make that dumb of a decision again), I told her that those things happened last night, and she says«well, if it happens again then come back) HELLNO! I demanded a strep test and another form of medication because I was not going to leave that place without some sort of aid. Never again will I go there just because of what seemed to be a low price. If I could post this with no stars I would.

I went there to get checked. All they are interested in is how they can sell you more medication. At every step, would you like this and you should take this. My main concern was to get a couple antibiotics that are necessary but instead she insisted on recommending and selling 6 in total. I am very disappointed that all they are looking for is to sell more. I would never visit any of these again. They told me it was allergies yet they gave me a prescription that was unnecessary when went to another doctor. I wish I would have never gone there. I wold not recommend any minute clinics.

Please heed others warnings on these Minute Clinics! Do NOT waste your hard earned money! Everything stated above is true with the experience I had today. They only care about your credit card and ID. ½ the visit was spent with her(aka the computer doctor) entering this information. She then asked irrelevant questions based on the«computer screen» questionnaire. She never really listened to what was wrong with me. She charged $ 50 for a strep test that I told her was not needed since I haven’t had it in 25 years when I had my tonsils out. She then proceeds to prescribe me a sinus nose spray… mind you I came in for a green phlegm cough that felt like my chest was on fire every time I cough. She also prescribes something to soothe a ‘sore throat’ which I had already told her game and went 3 days ago. Nothing for the bacteria/virus/cough…100% USELESS and a waste of your time. Go to a real doctor! Stay away. Please Please Please heed my advice and others on these CVS minute clinics.

UPDATE: Minute Clinic did send me a refund check sometime over the summer, then today they sent me a bill for the exact same amount for the refund check demanding the money back. The original refund was for the horrible experience I encountered as described below. Now they are trying to re-bill me for the visit. What a bunch of asshats. I will never step foot for any reason at a Minute Clinic. I went in to diagnoses an issue with seasonal allergies. The moment I walked into the clinic, the employee for Minute Clinic did not even say hello, and did not introduce herself. The first words out of her mouth were, give me your credit card, ID, and insurance information, if you have it. Immediately she basically snatched these items from me, and held them captive the whole visit. We spent 90% of the check up discussing insurance information and payment information. Her primary concern was receiving a payment. I have never been treated with such disrespect. I felt like I was being processed in a jail. The employee spent maybe five minutes discussing my actual concerns with seasonal allergies. She did not prescribe anything, she did not run any other physical tests besides blood pressure. When I called to complain to Minute Clinic’s corporation, the company lost my complaint the first time. The second time, the manager never called me back. The third time, the manager decided to refund me .25 cents. The fourth time, the corporation called me back and basically yelled at me, then confessed to me, even the manager wouldn’t ever visit one of these clinics. The fifth time I have called, they finally refunded my visit, but I still haven’t received a check. The check has been in the mail over one month. Do not visit these clinics. From what I have learned when the corporate employees called me is, they expect you to run out of the clinic and not pay. Only the low class visit these clinics and even for a corporate employee who works for minute clinic, would never go there under any circumstance.
