If you are looking for a place that is very welcoming to beginners and advanced practitioners this is the place. On Sundays they also have childcare so you can bring kids. They practice according to the teaching of Thic Nhat Han. Its a comfortable and enjoyable experience. They help about 2 – 300 people a week.

Great center — lots of groups, plenty of variety. So far we’ve attended the 5 pm — 7 pm Sunday meditation & Dharma talk(with childcare), the 3 pm Sunday Sangha del Loto(Spanish service, no child care), Thursday 6 pm Zen to Go(45 min of sitting and walking meditation) and Thursday 7 pm meditation and Dharma talks as well as classes in Qigoing and Easy Tai Chi. The practices are all open to beginners although there seem to be quite a few seasoned practitioners in regular attendance. If you’re looking to learn more about Buddha Dharma and various meditative practices or are in search of a place to practice, I highly recommend you take a look at their online calendar. There are multiple activities daily, inlcuding yoga, meditation for young adults, music and other spiritual and healing practices. Nearly everything is offered for free with recommended donations. We’re very much novices but have found the center valuable and the members/leaders welcoming and helpful.
