They saw me on time, the doctor was great. Only issue was with one contact prescription. They did correct quickly and it was perfect prescription for me. I will definitely be back next year.

My Chanel sunglasses got sat on while I was visiting my sister in the Dallas area. She recommended Dr. Black’s office because she gets her eyes checked there. When I walked in, everyone was very friendly and the office was clean and modern. Alena repaired my frames for me at no charge even though I didn’t buy them there. Anyway, I noticed they had Oakleys, so I picked up a pair as a gift for my husband. Now, I just need to find an optometry office like this where I live in LA!!!

I found Dr. Black using the internet and subsequent user reviews and I was not disappointed. I had been without my contacts for two weeks with headaches to show for it. I scheduled my initial appointment over the phone and was told that if a sooner open came up, they would call… and they did. It just so happened that someone reschedule and I was able to come in sooner than I had anticipated. I was instantly greeted by a warm smile and pleasant attitude. Everyone was courteous, efficient and positively professional. Great customer service is very important to me and when good service is provided, I feel it is my duty to praise those involved and share the experience. Sometimes, just a warm smile on a bad day is enough to change your mood, or vice versa. I can say unequivocally that I was impressed by Dr. Black and his entire staff. The overall cost for the appointment was very much in line and even a bit lower than I expected. It is nice to have a great doctor near my home in Richardson who is friendly, experienced and pleasant to visit. My wait time was short and the total visit was less than one hour. Dr. Black tweaked my prescription and he did a good job… I CAN SEE AGAIN!

I’ve been going to Doctor Black since the first time I needed glasses, some 11 years ago, I think. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them, the staff is absolutely amazing, Doctor Black is fantastic, understanding and knowledgeable, and with the slightest of problems with your glasses or contacts, they’ll take care of it, most of the time for free. I’d highly recommended Douglas Black to anyone looking for a fantastic optometrist!

I was really impressed with Dr. Black and his staff. My first visit was more of an emergency because I had a scratch on my cornea. They told me to come right over and worked me in. After my eye healed, I went back for my regular exam. At both visits, I had a good experience. It’s a friendly office in a good location. A big plus for me is that they sell prescription Oakley sunglasses and they came back in less than a week. That’s great service!
