My kids love the open area to run, ride bikes and be free! Open their vocal cords and sing and scream as well as a game of football! Sound of the water is very relaxing as well as beautiful at night when it is lit up with lights. Plenty of lighting around at night to feel safe!

We were here for the Peace, Love, Run 5K. The runners were raising money for ‘Back on my Feet,’ which is a charity for unfortunate homeless people. The atmosphere of the 5K was awesome, everyone was in great spirits in their tye-dyed racing gear. The racing route, which linked up to several trails, was wonderful. It was well-maintained, with many parts of the trail shaded by trees. Now that we know about these hidden yet awesome trails, we will definitely be back!!! I am betting they are low traffic ona regular weekend as well.

Cool rail station…(aside from the displaced guy that stole my hubs’ bike and THEN decided to ride around on the bike in front of my hubs as if it were his. We couldn’t even be angry… it was too funny. SECURE your bikes is the phrase of the day here). I love this park, it’s about a half mile trail loop with park benches and the usual fare. It’s great for some quick laps if you don’t want to head out on the rest of the trails. The loop connects to other trails along the creek, up to Renner(which goes on for miles), down to Arapaho, etc… I love the connecting trails. Aside from the standard fare like grills, there’s a chess table, a little sand box play area for the kids(or dog) and a little area to play horseshoe. Lots of trees and shade. Love it. When you’re done frolicking, walk on over to grab some eats from Froots.
