Prairie Creek Park

Such Beautiful huge place to visit! The neighborhood is nice! I enjoyed the Lovely trees and the creek is a Breath Taking view! Great place to take photography. Greatly recommended.

A respite of nature in Richardson. Come see the wild flowers

Prairie Creek is a small neighborhood park, across the street from an elementary school. It does have a few short trails, some good picture taking opportunities as well as a pretty secluded little area with big stones to lounge about, climb on, jump off of as you please. There is also, of course, a creek that runs through the park. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. This is a good place to go if you want to stay close to home (assuming you live in the area) and still want to get outside. The website states that it’s 37 acres (or something close to that) but it only took us about an hour or so to go through the entire park. It was fun and we both liked it, just wish it was bigger with more, or at least longer, trails. Overall, I’m still excited to find it because it’s kind of hidden and thus, very quiet and peaceful. Might be good for an intimate little picnic and a short walk. :-)
