Golden Corral

I agree with Rob M. It has been many years since I have been there. But that is because my friends are not fans of chain restaurants.
I love this place. Food is affordable and great. Service was very prompt and professional. I don’t think you could have Prime Rib, other entrees, sides and desert for the variety for less than $ 15.00 of what they are charging there.
I will be back again very soon. My only complaint is that I should have been back sooner because I left a very satisfied customer.

Apparently we showed up on a ‘special’ night — $ 2 more per person. No one at the meat serving station. Eventually was served a piece of meat I couldn’t cut with a serrated knife. Napkin dispensers were jammed so tight you couldn’t get one out. Pie looked like it was served with an ice cream scoop. Ice cream dispenser broken. Oh, and a coke costs $ 2.60! Tomorrow I’ll try King’s Buffet as someone else in here suggested.

Dirty plates were greasy or had food on them. Food was old that was out on buffett. Steak was burnt. Service was poor it took at least 20 for my husband to get a refill.

Half of the food looked like leftovers from lunch, lots of cold food some of the normal buffet items weren’t on the line, i asked for medium steak got well done, gravy was watery, the dishes were put out for us customers dirty half covered in grease others with food particles
Waitstaff gets to busy to pay good attention to tables and its just not worth $ 15 a piece i recommend the new king buffet much more

Went for Breakfast at this location. The waitress lets us know to dig down into the tray on the food bar, because the food is warm at the bottom. The Bacon was not good, and I love bacon. The Eggs were old, and tasteless. The bottom line, was finding a bug in my food. I complained to the manager and was told it was probably a fly that came from above, say on a fan on the roof. NO, it was in the food, I pulled it out from the food I was eating. I will NEVER go to this location again, it’s Disgusting.

The food was not good at all. My «rare» steak was well done and my omelet was undercooked. Most of the food had a funny taste and if it didn’t have that funny taste, it just didn’t taste good. The cashier seemed like she did not want to be there at all. Her attitude made the environment feel a lot more depressing than it actually was.
Is there a half star or a zero star???

It seemed like every plate we picked up had some sort of wet or dry food on them. The food was horrible! I really can’t think of anything positive to say about this place. No more Golden Corral for me or my family.

Their food selection sucked, I have more variety in my freezer and pantry combined. Food taste was kind of bland, not really appealing at all. The right section of the restaurant smells like sweaty feet and if you take a look behind the dessert counter you’ll probably end up throwing up. Some of the ovens look like they haven’t been cleaned in years and I know this because I owned a restaurant and my ovens never looked like that. I would never come back to this establishment at all, nor I would recommend it to anyone that I care about. Shoot I wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy. Ps: make sure you check your silver ware, because 3 out of the 4 that I grabbed were still dirty.
Oh and make sure you don’t take an attractive girl with you because she’ll probably get hit on by the guy behind the counter

Service is not bad, but the food doesn’t taste that great, I don’t know when I was a kid I used to look forward to Golden Corral, not sure if maybe I hadn’t developed better taste, or if it has gone downhill.
Everything just feels like heated canned food.

Wow, I’ve been here a few times and never had a bad experience. It’s not gourmet, but I don’t know what people are expecting for a 10 spot. Huge variety. Lots of stuff tastes great.

Yuck! Just yuck. Dirty restaurant with disgusting food. Very oily and salty. The food has been out awhile. They don’t have variety. The restaurant needs to be updated. Disappointment

It was terrible. Most of the food was old and anything that was not old was just plain bad.

I don’t know Wht the f$@& I was thinking… My 8yr old daughter has done it to me again. This place smells like piss at the front door. As far as the food Wht can u really expect, I mean I knew tht coming in. Only a child interested in a chocolate factory would think this was the bomb, and for my senior citizens out there. Find a lubys or furrs etc. This location is not what up. Sorry!!!

Worst golden corral I have EVER been to! Dirty plates and utensils. Poor food selection. Ordered the lobster and it took 30 min and was miniature. Even the kids weren’t impressed.

i wish no stars were possible in the rating system. This place is awful! Disgusting! Found hair in the food, gum stuck on supposedly clean dishes.

Golden Corral is the worst! For real this place was pretty alright back then and now it’s horrible. Your school cafeteria lunch food would be better than this. All of their foods have zero flavor and they look like they just came out of the trash. Seriously guys don’t come here and go to Furr’s in Plano. I barely ate anything because one look at the selections I was done. What is this they call fondue? Nothing like eating fondue just weird choices and unappetizing appearance.

I am not a fan of large buffets and going to the Golden Corral is definitely going to a large buffet. Without ordering an entrée you can stuff yourself to your heart’s content. Even with a small steak i don’t find the prices alap that bbad and some of the food is rather good whack I usually pass on the «cheap stuff». Why would anyone fill their platter with foods that can be purchased at a fraction of the price elsewhere. I go for the «dessert’ that is one of the most expensive sides. The dessert buffet is excellent and by eating three or four pieces off that buffet you have already gotten you money’s worth. I did not claim to be heath «nut».I don’t have a particular favorite from the buffet. The soups were very good, salad bar veggies fresh and the fried portion of the buffet very good. I did not claim this to be a gourmet restaurant, however you will not be hungry when you leave.

I find it absolutely ASTONISHING that ANYONE would give ANY Golden Corral — including this one — less than 4 stars.
Seriously, what in the world is wrong with our country when people are so spoiled that they can’t find SOMETHING to like/​love out of literally SCORES of choices on the marvelous Golden Corral buffet.
Phenomenal shrimp. Delicious pot roast. Fabulous chili. Chicken cooked a dozen ways, literally. Marvelous salad bar. Tons of desserts. I mrean COME ON, people!
This one was just as good as all the others I’ve eaten at. Like Holiday Inn, no surprises, just a limitless bounty of terrific food.

I wouldn’t go back.
The place needs to be renovated. The staff is friendly enough but this is darn near a dump. We had the buffet. Some of it was salty and a lot of it looked unappetizing. We skipped all of dessert and the salad station. The highlight was the made-​to-​order station where you could get sausage, steak, and seafood (none of which was fresh off the local rancher’s truck or fisherman’s boat). I grabbed some sausage and fish fillets. The place was just such a dump that even if the food was fantastic, you wouldn’t notice. But I did notice that the final price tag was over $ 20 for all this loveliness?

For all the bad reviews of this place, you know what? It’s an all you can eat buffet for less than $ 10!!! This isn’t going to be some gourmet dining food that will captivate your senses! Plus its a family oriented restaurant and kids can get whatever their picky hearts desire.
Ok, so salad bar is horrible. Soups are average.
Hot food line and sides are average, with your pick on what you actually would enjoy. I always end up getting a little bit of everything!
Usually in the grill they server whatever is the special for the day, as we went during lunch as Angus beef sliders were up. OMG. This was the saving grace of the buffet line! Who knew this jewel of a slider could be found in Golden Corral?!?
The meat was almost one inch thick, as they didn’t give you a big, flat patty and just cut it up into a slider serving. It truly was a mini burger, as the bun was soft and captured the juices coming out with every bite.
I topped off my meal with some soft-​serve yogurt and left a satisfied customer.
