Highland Spa

Just walked in here and walked out.
No clients were in there.
The nail Techs were sitting in the pedicure chairs. No One seemed to care if I was there. The main lady was on the phone and did not get off the phone when I walked in.
Again” They had no customers“
I really needed my nails done so I hung around until she got off of the phone.
She told me my options and quickly shuffled me into a chair. I picked out the color and she got on the phone again.
When She got off the phone she was talking in her language to the other girls just sitting there lounging.
hurry to help me and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I was just looking at her like hey I’m here what the heck are you waiting for lol
When she finally came over and sat down, I looked at her and said. «Hey I forgot something I will be back in 24 hours lol
She needed to lose a customer and that was me. She was impolite and I don’t trust a salon that is lazy and unfriendly.
I knew I would not be happy with the result because she wasn’t focused on me.
Don’t come to this place it’s a lot of money for a little effort.
I tell it like I see it.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The spa mani/​pedi is so relaxing! They do gorgeous hand painted artwork if requested. I love the eyelash extensions, facials and waxing! Highly recommend!
Also the Spa is super clean and the tools are sanitized.

I went and got eyelash extensions and love them! The young woman who did them was professional, kind, and efficient. It was a lovely experience.

Got off to a rough start but the facial more than made up for it. Love the facial.

I go here because it is close to my house but would even if it wasn’t. Cindy gives the best manicure I’ve ever had. She is very good at removing all dry or dead skin around the nail on my fingers. She is sweet as they come and will do just about anything to ensure that I leave happy.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for fills and pedicure. There was one woman and her young daughter there when I went in. The next day I had an interview so I needed to get this done no delays. I was seated immediately and the tech started on my pedicure. Halfway thru, another lady comes in and a tech comes up between us and I ask if she is doing my nails. She informs me I will have to come back later for my nails… um, what? I indicated this was not stated when I sat down. No concessions were made and of course there was lots of conversation NOT in english… I told them this was not acceptable and absolutely not the way to treat a customer. I told the technician to stop the pedicure that I would be leaving.
When I left I was asked for the full price of the pedicure. Not happening.
I will not be back.

This is an acceptable place to get your nails painted, but it’s not a luxurious or high end experience.

I am traveling on business and needed a pedicure. Rarely do I venture from the spa I normally go to in Austin! I read reviews on quite a few places and decided to give Highland Spa a try. I’m so glad I did! Lisa did an excellent job on my feet — great pedicure: o) I will definitely return for another pedi as I’m here on business quite a bit and it’s convenient to my location.

I was not impressed. Cold water to put my feet in, cold «hot» stones and a very quick massage. Polish, I could have done it that good myself. I really wanted a relaxing time, but got a rush job for too much money. I will not return.

I was on vacation in Texas and my cousin took me to Highland Spa to get pampered. We were there a week ago and got a facial done by Xena. She did such great job on my face. At first, it was the steaming, then exfoliation. After my face was clean, she did extraction on my skin. Xena did a really good extraction and my pores were very clean. She recommended Microdermabrasion for my skin and I loved it. It does make my pores look smaller and my skin is so soft and smooth now. Next time I will try the Photo facial and see how it works. Xena is sure an expert on skin care. Try her and you will love her.

I have tried to be adventurous when it comes to nail salons.
I like the flashy new places that catch your eye and make you take notice. As per usual, flash is overrated. On two separate occasions I have jumped at that sparkly flash and found myself rather burned by a crappy salon. When I have left both times, I have wandered all teary eyed and frustrated into the Highland Spa. Both times I have received amazing service and a flawless pedicure.
The only review I ever found for the place said that Cindy did the best pedicure, and you know she certainly did! The first time I had Cindy and the second time it was a new lady, but both end results were perfect and soothing to my hurt ego. This has officially become the salon I use and accept as my own. I highly recommend giving it a shot yourself.

The staff is extremely friendly. Their spa pedicure is probably one of the best I’ve received. At other salons, the hot rocks usually don’t do much for me but I guess it was because no one has done it properly. The hot rock massage here at the highlands was definitely an unexpected relaxing experience. Worth trying out. It’s not the highest quality of salon but the overall experience was worth the price.
