I guess I’ve only eaten at authentic Chinese restaurants in Richardson, as they’re rather plentiful. But anyway, my coworkers dragged me here today. Food was eh at best, but the service wasn’t entirely terrible.

This place is great! Fast delivery and the food was very hot when it arrived. The portions are really big and the prices are good. The orange chicken is fantastic! The sauce is tasty and it has mushrooms, carrots and peppers. I highly recommend the orange chicken. The hot and sour soup is also really good and I will be ordering this again.

You won’t find a better local Chinese restaurant with this level of service and food! We have been coming here for years and it is great every time. The staff is so friendly and inviting and everything I have tried on the menu is excellent!

I ordered this for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately, I ordered quite a bit of food to last me for several days of leftovers. The hot and sour soup is pretty bland. I wouldn’t order it again. I also got the Kung Pao chicken, which was also extremely bland. The fried rice was good and the chicken lettuce wraps were pretty good as well. I did appreciate the super quick delivery time and the way the food was packaged really neatly. All in all, I don’t think I’d order from here again.

We moved to this area a couple of years ago and this was the first place we ordered from. It was so quick in the delivery that I didn’t have time to find the plates! The food was hot and ! We have tried other places but keep coming back. I love calling in because of the sweet man that answers the phone. I have read reviews that bash him but I believe they don’t give him a chance you treat him nice and he is super sweet. Respect goes a long way. This is our go to for take out!

We were looking for a Chinese restaurant for lunch and after the reviews on Trip Advisor, decided that JK China Garden looked like the right location. The restaurant is very attractively decorated in Chinese and we were welcomed and seated immediately. The place looks very nice and most of all very clean. There was even hand sanitizers placed in each booth and on each table. I was impressed as I haven’t seen this attention since being on a cruise ship. The restaurant offers lunch specials for $ 6.95 seven days a week. I ordered the Pepper Steak and my spouse ordered the Cashew Chicken. We also ordered hot tea, soup and an egg roll and all but the the tea come with the lunch. The hot tea was delivered to our table in less than a minute and the egg roll and soup followed very quickly The hot and sour soup was full of ingredients as was the egg drop soup. Both were delicious. They are served in a small bowl, however the amount was more than enough. My pepper steak arrived in a few minutes and it was very good. The plate was a lunch size portion which in my case was plenty. The green peppers were fresh and crisp and the beef tender. I would prefer a thinner sauce as the one on the entrée was a little thick for my taste. My spouse was serve her entrée, cashew and chicken which had all kinds of fresh vegetables in it along with a lot of white meat chicken. The sauce she said was perfect. Both of the entrees came with white rice although we could have had fried rice instead. At the end of the meal a couple of Chinese fortune cookies were given to us. This is a very nice restaurant which can easily complete with many of the high priced Chinese restaurants around Dallas. The service was efficient, cordial and friendly. This was a great place to have a lunch on a Saturday. Entrees include China Garden Specialties, Seafood, Beef, Poultry and Pork. Soups range from Wonton to seafood soup. There is also serval appetizers offered and there include egg roll, crab rangoon, fried chicken wings and fried fish. A kid’s meal is also available. Beverages are reasonably priced at $ 1.5o and include refills. Desserts are available and they include Almond Cookies. cheesecake and a honey walnut banana. The restaurant advises they use fresh vegetables and are 96% M.S.G. free.

The older guy who takes phone orders is extremely rude! He was irritated that I asked questions about whether the hot and sour soup had pork. He sighed heavily when I said I didn’t want it because it had pork and then he yelled«what else PLEASE?!» I will not be eating at this subpar Chinese restaurant again.

This place is hot fresh and delicious. Their portion sizes are enough to feed and army and they delivered within 20 minutes. The prices are good too.

Just picked up dinner for 4 only to toss everything but the edamame in the trash. By far the worst Asian food I have ever had. The Kung Pao chicken had 50 parts water chestnuts and 3 pieces of chicken, along with some«delicious» canned slimy mushrooms. The teriyaki tasted like it had been thrown in the dryer without sauce or oil. The tofu was similar in texture to wet dog food. When I called to mention the quality to the owner he offered me a $ 10CREDITNEXTTIME I ORDER… Next time??? There will be no next time. Bye bye $ 39. Disgusting. This place used to be good.

My husband and I used to love this place, we feel it’s gone down hill. The food is loaded with sodium and msg. We wake up with a headache the next day. Sad as we enjoyed t for years.

This place is good. Pot stickers. Chicken wings, garden fried rice, kung pow, take your pick. There are no bad choice’s. And it’s reasonably priced. You could do a lot worse.

A small group of us ordered from work. The guy who answers the phone is consistently rude. Won’t do substitutions. Won’t let you order soup if your ordering delivery. He argued with my co-worker and told her to «read the menu again»! Wouldn’t split the payment for us either. We won’t order from this restaurant again and my company orders here often.

Tried to order delivery from a nearby hotel and the person on the phone was extremely rude. I refuse to recommend this place. Horrible customer service! Hung up on the guy when he argued with me.

If you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food(where they only have forks and spoons on the table and you have to ask for chopsticks), then this is the place to go. While you are deciding what to order, they bring you crispy fried strips(that you usually eat with soup or congee) with Asian style dipping sauce and mustard. Mustard??? I’ve never had yellow mustard in a Chinese restaurant, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. The lunch specials are just under $ 7 and come with a soup, egg roll, steamed or fried rice, and the entrée of your choice. The egg drop soup was meh. The egg roll full of cabbage was bigger than I expected, but was very greasy. The orange chicken was as expected: chunks of fried chicken covered with orange-y sauce. Overall, their lunch special is a great deal. The staff were all super friendly, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m craving authentically Americanized Chinese food.

love this place! my parents go there on a regular basis and they are always treated so well. my all-time faves are the chicken fried rice and the sweet & sour chicken. the wanton soup and the«chips» round out the meal along with their delicious egg roll. Theirs is the only egg roll I’ll eat, it’s just so good!

This place is so friendly! Amy, the owner, is such a nice and funny lady. My family and I have great conversations with her every time we come. One of the great things about this place is the large portions they give you. Everything they make is in abundance, and very consistent. The beef flat noodle is the best thing on menu, but they don’t always have it as they run out due to it’s popularity. But in all honesty everything is good. If you want to get an appetizer, the soups are great. The Egg Drop Soup is my personal favorite. In addition, the egg rolls are huge standout and the pot sticker are so good you always want more! When I come, I usually get a soup, either pot stickers or an egg roll, and an entrée where I sometimes am able to take some home for leftovers. Amazing!

Standard Americanized Chinese food. The prices for lunch specials are good and the portion size is large. The food is average: not great, but not terrible. An interesting feature of this restaurant is that there is hand sanitizer on every table in a pump bottle… So I guess at least the patrons should all have clean hands. Staff has been super friendly on all of my visits. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but if I was driving by and wanted a quick Chinese food fix for a good price, I’d drop in.

I’m American so take this review with a grain of salt if you aren’t ;) Overall my wife, son and I had a fantastic experience. The service was probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The waitress was very friendly and would joke around with our three year old whenever she would come by the table, which was often. My water glass never even got halfway empty before it was refilled. Same for my wife. Food came out quickly. We ordered steamed pot stickers to start and they tasted so fresh and practically melted in my mouth. They also give you what I would call Chinese Fritos before your meal and it comes w a sweet sauce and also a spicy sauce. I loved the sweet sauce. My wife and I split the honey fried chicken and chicken fried rice. Both tasted excellent compared to pretty much other Chinese restaurant. Good portions too. Other plus was that there wasn’t any wait and it was 7pm on a Friday night. Glad that others haven’t found this place yet :)

Soooo… sooo disappointed in JK China. I returned to the area 8 years after leaving. We used to get JK delivered at least once a week and tried to find time to come in often(they don’t deliver their banana dessert!). I was so excited to move back so we could eat this more than just in town visiting family and friends. Imagine my surprise when the first trip back was mediocre and the next trip, the food was awful! And, to top it off when I was teling my story of my past patronage and excitement to being a return customer, the gentleman at the front ignored me mid-story, walked off and began speaking to another employee!!! I don’t know what has happened to this place, but I will not be back.

I am very concerned… Love this place and have for years, but have noticed that several things have changed — first being the food, which is the most important part. I am wondering if they lost their chef, as the past 3 or 4 visits have been just sub-par food, with one just awful. Mostly, the food has become just OK, it’s no longer WOW! We have also noticed that there are very few patrons. In fact, so few that the staff are over-compensating now by taking your order too fast, constantly at your table chatting and filling your glass, practically waiting at your table to take a dish or two that looks like you may have finished and to drop off the check. I am NOT one of those people who want to get in and get out as fast as possible. I love food and I love to savor food and chat with the person I chose to dine with. I like attentive staff, but I don’t come to a restaurant to have dinner with the staff. Also, this is such a nice place, with lovely stylish décor, yet they have returned to having the TV sound on again so the STAFF can sit around and watch sports or the news. It’s frustrating. Remove the TV completely and play some beautiful oriental music to set a mood, get a new cook and maybe your patrons will return… Sometimes they do turn the music on, but of course, now you have the TV and the music going at the same time, which irritates me even more… UGH. What a shame. I’m assuming J K China Garden is staying in business with take-out orders only — a method that is much more forgiving for the lack of proper preparation and flavor. Just like any other fast food, who’s going to take the time to drive all the way back to complain or get a new order? In fact, in this busy day and time, most people don’t take the time to call and complain. They choke down the food and go on about their business. I’m not even sure people KNOW good food when they taste it anymore…
