IMPORTANTNOTE: CASHONLY! Richardson def has all the best asian restaurants… Good n casual lil Taiwanese Noodle place. Pretty traditional dishes, esp the noodles ^.^(it’s called King’s NOODLE for a reason!) Came here for a friend’s birthday dinner, and it was great. The restaurant isn’t terribly big but it wasn’t difficult to fit 10 – 15 people around 2 tables. We each ordered separately, but most of us ordered either beef noodle soup or beef dry noodles(I got the beef dry noodles). The prices are also pretty reasonable. They only take cash though! The beef dry noodles came out pretty quickly, which was much appreciated :). According to my friend who has been here before, I got a much more generous portion size than«normal». Regardless, my other friend who ordered the same dish was able to satisfyingly fill her stomach. The noodles are thick and tangy… you can tell that it’s not some cheap noodles that reheated. The beef was also well cooked: soft and easily chewed, but not overcooked, and still retained its delicious flavor: D Overall, very tasty Another cool perk: they sell boba here! I tasted my friend’s normal milk tea and it was definitely good: D Not sure what the price is, but I feel like the boba can be add some much needed sweetness after your savory meal!

I have lived in Taiwan for 4 months and fell in love with beef noodle soup. After sampling many beef noodle soups in Dallas — this place is by far the best in Dallas. The star of the dish — broth, it’s delicate, complex and flavorful even without spice. Adding spice to your own taste makes it even more amazing. This soup has the best noodles in beef noodle soup in Dallas– thick and chewy. Of course beef is tender with just the right amount of fat. On top of having amazing beef noodle soup this place has one of the best boba teas — not too sweet, tapioca is soft and fresh. Get a side of cucumbers with your meal, they are so crunchy and slightly spicy.

Taste: 2 of 2 stars Value: 1 of 1 star Ambience: 1 of 1 star Will I return?: Omg yes! 1 of 1 star Total: 5 stars! :D This place is so so so good. My favorite Asian food place in DFW, probably. But actually, come here and try a bowl of their noodles! The restaurant is run by a single family(at least I see the same family running the shop every time I’ve been, for 7ish times) and you need to come here if you’re looking for an authentic bowl of Taiwanese noodles. Cash only, but the prices are good: $ 7 – 8 per generous bowl. They also have rice dishes and other entrees but their noodles are so good it’s hard for me to stop ordering them. I particularly like the pickled/preserved vegetable pork noodle soup(za cai rou so mien) and the dry beef noodle(#1 on the menu, niu rou gan mien). Most people here get the #1 and they do with good reason. The noodles are springy, veggies are crisp, flavor is deep. These«dry noodles» are dry in that the broth comes on the side and the noodles are bathed in a small amount of savory soup/sauce, topped with cilantro, and also maybe something illegal because I don’t know how they get them so tasty. Come and support this mom-and-pop restaurant, they’re definitely doing it right.

Awesome noodles! It is cash only place, and lunch hours can be really busy. The beef quality can vary day by day a little. It is always good to double check with the cashier.

When I think of comfort food, I automatically think King’s Noodles. This restaurant has a special place in my heart and I have been coming here ever since it first opened and it has been a staple for my mom and I. The beef noodle soup here is so yummy… the beef is tender, the noodles are hand-made with perfect consistency, and the broth is so flavorful. I get this almost every time I go. I have also had the zhajiang mian, the dry beef noodle soup, and the wonton noodle soup and all are just as delicious. Also, don’t worry, the dry beef noodle soup is not really«dry»; it is submerged in a sauce and very flavorful. The small cold-dishes are great appetizers; I usually get the seaweed and the pig’s ears. Try the dumplings too! Hand-made as well. Like everyone else has said on here, this place is CASHONLY! Also, they close for about an hour and a half on weekdays from 3 – 4:30 pm I believe so plan accordingly.

My favorite Taiwanese noodle place in town(and I am Taiwanese). probably as authentic as you could get in Dallas area. I usually get the beef noodle or the dried pork noodle. The place is cash only and not exactly fast, but the food is worth the wait!

This is my go to place for both Beef Noodle Soup and Porkchop Rice. The broth is one of the better beef soups I’ve experienced and the noodles are soft and chewy. The one negative I would say is the beef itself can be inconsistent. Sometimes they are super nice and tender, but sometimes it can be be too hard and meh. The pork chop rice is always satisfactory and is served with two mini sides plus soup. On default the sides are cucumbers and seaweed, but these can be swapped on request with their other delights.(I usually swap the seaweed with some tofu), The pork chop is always hits the spot and I end up pretty full for a long time after this dish. Other yummy recommendations would be their shaved ice and grass jelly milk tea. These are always the best way the finish off your meal. I enjoy their standard shaved ice which seems to come with condensed milk, red beans, mung beans, and grass jelly. The restaurant is self served after you order(Cash Only). The owner’s kids are often in the restaurant and can often be viewed playing around. Usually doesn’t bother me but it can sometimes can a bit unappealing because sometimes they are running around and making lots of noise. My last visit they had all had light up heelys and were rolling around the restaurant.

Had this bookmarked so I decided to check it off the list! Glad I did. This place is yummy especially on the cold, stormy weekend we went. The two most popular dishes are #1(dry beef noodle) and #2(beef noodle soup). The BF and I got one of each and shared. He liked the dry better, it was still in a sauce but not submerged in broth so I guess that’s why they call it «dry». It was also a little more garlicky and had cilantro which was quite tasty. I preferred the soup… it has more vegetables(Bok Choy and a piece of what I think was taro root but not 100% sure). The broth had a us our taste– maybe Chinese five spice or star anise or something… it was deliciously different than your average beef broth. The only caveats of this place is that it is cash only and there is a language barrier so when asking questions about other dishes I don’t think there was good communication to explain the menu items. The menu is written in English and Chinese but did not describe the dishes. Either way worth a try! If you’re sick with the flu or it’s a cold weekend this is a no-brainer but would be good anytime!

I’ve only ever had the beef dry noodle and it’s all I’ll ever order. It’s delicious. Too much cilantro but whatevs. I can pick it out. Only takes once to remember to get cash before going.

This place is good for Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Their homemade dumplings are very good as well. I’ve tried one of their rice plates before and it was just OK. This restaurant is clean. It is also pretty much a self service restaurant. You order at the counter, get your utensils and water which are also on the counter. It is also CASHONLY so don’t forget to bring $!

CASHONLY This is a really simple traditional Taiwanese restaurant. You can tell by the scent that hits you the moment you lay your hand on that second door… also by the set up of the kitchen. I had the minced pork vermicelli noodle soup with a stewed egg. It was amazing. It’s not too salty but not bland. The bf had chicken over rice. It’s almost like stew over rice, it’s pretty good. Good amount of veges, eggs, and chicken cooked tender. We ordered sea kelp with tofu as appetizer. I would suggest them to stew the sea kelp a little more or add some soy sauce. We finished off with red bean shaved ice with condensed milk. I have NEVER seen so much condense milk on a hill of freshly shaven ice with red bean for $ 4.20 after tax. Total was $ 23 before tip. Good meal! We came back the following night for the shaved ice: P Recommend dining in than to go though.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world! If you go there you have to order the beef noodle soup, trust me you won’t be disappointed. As of lately I feel like it’s gotten better than before the portion in a bit bigger and the broth even more flavorful. I would say my favorite thing about this place is that they make their noodles handmade daily and it truly makes a difference. If you ever get bored of having phở like everyone else these Taiwanese beef noodles are the way to go!

Food: Ordered the beef noodle soup(of course), wonton noodle soup, the appetizer bean curds, and the Taiwanese Peal Tea with brown sugar. Total was $ 20.00(Cash Only!). Thought the beef noodle soup was lacking a little flavor that day, but the beef was tender and the noodle were soft and chewy. Wontons were great too! Really cheap drinks also — most expensive one was probably $ 3.50. Service: Order and pay upfront at the counter, then find a table. A waitress will deliver your food to your table when it’s ready. For dinner time on a Saturday, there were only three people working in the open kitchen(including the cashier), so service isn’t exactly fast. They did run out of tapioca when making my drink(6:30PM on a Saturday night, so that was unexpected), but nicely came and asked me if I wanted grass jelly added on instead. Ambiance: Very simple, Chinese take-out kind of environment. Typical furniture that you’d find in all the other Chinese restaurants, complete with a TV playing a Taiwanese singing show mounted in corner ceiling. Worth the price!

If you’re craving that authentic taiwanese beef noodle soup, this ISDEFINITELY the right place to go to. I have been coming here for almost 7 or 8 years now and can say that no other Chinese establishments can exactly replicate the traditional beef noodle soup. This place is strictly CASHONLY so make sure you have some before you come here. King’s Noodle is a very low key taiwanese spot that has been so consistent over the many years that they’ve been open for. I believe its owned by a couple famillies, but Im not 100% sure. Anyways, this place is known for their beef noodle soup, incase you couldnt tell. I normally ALWAYS get the beef noodle soup, but I felt like making a small change in my typical order. I decided to get the beef noodle soup DRY(Its number 2 on the menu) and it was exactly what I wanted. The hand-pulled noodles were mixed with a garlic oily sauce that was seasoned to perfection and completed with a side of pickly garnishes. This dish also comes with a small bowl of the beef broth so you pretty much get the best of both worlds! In addition to the entrée, my cousins and I ordered the large half mango/strawberry shaved ice and it was PERFECT! The fruits were so fresh. On top of the shaved ice, there was a large scoop of vanilla ice cream to blend all of the sweet flavors together. I havent had a shaved ice dessert that resembles this since I was in California. Overall: This is my go to joint for a nice authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup and I STRONGLY recommend coming here if you havent already been. Its a typical Chinese place so dont expect great service, but I promise the food will make it all up towards the end of your meal.

I gave it 3 star for the mango ice shave only. There’s no service at all, which i didn’t expect any to start with. We have #2 and #3 plus handmade dumpling. The beef noodle soup smell very strong of herbs, not the stew beef soup I expected. The noodle was pretty chewy. The dumplings are ok, nothing fancy. The best part was the shave, but not the soft cotton ice shave either. We spent $ 40 on 2 noodle soups, dumpling, mango ice shave, and a milk tea. Cash only Don’t think I’ll drive 30 min to eat here anymore

If you’re ever in this area and are craving great noodle soup, lo mein, fried rice or rice dishes you have to check this place out! This place has been here for years and when we were in town for my niece’s graduation my sister in law took us all out to eat here and I was in heaven! I ordered the beef with vegetables rice dish and the food was served promptly and was soon good and generous! No skimping here! Great bang for the buck!

Was introduced to this place by a Friend from Taiwan and tried two things and they were awesome: #5 — Za Jiang Mein(this is our regular dish) #D9 — Pearl Iced Drink(黑糖冰珍珠) They make the noodles fresh daily and its sooooo good! Cash only. Had to take out one star for their kitchen etiquette: cooks are probably the owners and work in their casual clothes and they do not use gloves!(I’m not a germaphobe but come on!) but again being exposed to germs builds up your immune system, doesn’t it?! Overall awesome food!

Boyfriend and I spent time driving around Plano to find out that 2 of our favorite noodle restaurants were closed for the day. We decided to use Unilocal and found King’s Noodle. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the place was packed at around 1:30pm on a weekday. Environment: Overall, a good restaurant. Plain décor with a clean open kitchen. Order at the counter and grab some water and chopsticks before finding a seat. The employees weren’t exactly friendly, but they seemed a lot more open toward people who could speak Mandarin. The restaurant appeared family-owned(not certain), as there was a male working the cashier and a female getting the noodle soups ready. Food: Nearly everyone in the restaurant was eating some form of noodle soup. We each ordered the beef noodle soup and a plate of pork ears. The noodles were mediocre and had somewhat of a spiral texture. Each bowl came with a side of chopped picked vegetables. I wasn’t very impressed, but I did like how the portion sizes were large. The soup wasn’t too salty and tasted a bit herbal. However, the pieces of beef were very tender; just melted in your mouth. Pork ears were great and the sauce that was put on top made it very flavorful. I would recommend mixing up the plate first to make sure that each piece is coated with an equal amount of sauce(seemed like a slightly sweet, soy sauce-based sauce). My boyfriend doesn’t like pork ears, but he still thought they tasted good. i could easily eat 2 plates by myself; they were very tasty. For a restaurant that prides itself in noodle soups, they didn’t blow me away. The noodles did seem like they were made in the restaurant, but they just weren’t my taste. I also didn’t like how the restaurant was cash only; I could pay with card at a different restaurant with better noodles. However, I will be back for other items on the menu!

Quick tips: Cash only and parking is in the back When you walk in, you order and pay(and tip!) at the counter and grab your own water, silverware, napkins, etc. We split homemade dumplings and a beef noodle soup among the two of us, which turned out to be just the right amount of food. The dumplings themselves(which may have in reality been homemade but may as well have been store bought given the taste and texture) were okay; I found the dipping sauce that came with them to be too sweet, but that’s easily remedied by just dipping them in the vinegar that comes in the box on each table instead. As for the beef noodle soup, I thought the noodles themselves were great, chewy and QQ, but I really disliked the broth, which tasted like straight up soy sauce(I really like broths that have more beef flavor in them). I also prefer my beef to have a little bit of fat or tendon, and King’s Noodle served pretty generic and flavorless lean cuts. At the end of the day, maybe finding a good bowl of beef noodle soup is a matter of personal preference, but I will say that King’s Noodle is definitely not my cup of tea(bowl of soup?).
