Do not go to Nick! Aside from his bad alterations (hemmed two of my jeans too short), he imposes minimum on debit card purchases (against VISA terms), and he changes prices all the time (charges $ 15 sometimes, then $ 17, etc for hemming). Go to a reputable place for alterations.

I bought a pair of jeans one morning that were too long and dropped them off with Nick around 11am to be hemmed. I had asked him to make sure they were long enough to wear with the high (5 in.) heels I normally wear and wanted to keep the same hem.
He had them back to me by 4pm the same day! Hem was done beautifully– all for $ 17 bucks. Conveniently located next door to my work so I will definitely be taking him more jeans to hem in the future.
