Good Mexican for a chain restaurant, had fish tacos and the tilapia w/scallops and shrimp! Insanely busy as we went on Father’s Day, so service was slow but reliable

Worst experience. This place is terrible! We ordered the regular fajitas and she gave us the $ 45 version which was crazy. It was our anniversary so my husband didn’t want to say anything to ruin it. I contacted the manager that night after I found out and he did nothing’ ! Our HR manager will contact you tomorrow. Nothing !! We would come here all the time. Not anymore. Don’t come here.

My first time at Pappasito’s was three months ago in Houston where I greatly enjoyed the Baja tacos. I’ve been talking about them constantly to my family and tonight we went for a celebratory dinner. Imagine my disappointment when the first set of tacos were cold and tough. The second set came after I had filled up more on chips and salsa and so I wasn’t able to finish the meal. My husband ordered the brisket tacos that were filled with tough-textured meat. At least my son enjoyed his meal. So, all in all, our $ 100 dollar dinner experience did not live up to expectations and we passed by Maggiano’s on the way to Pappasito’s. I will wait until my next time in Houston to eat at this restaurant chain again.

All I can say is SHRIMPBROCHETTE! Lol. My favorite dish, although I have had many dishes here. I have never been disappointed. A little expensive, but worth the expense once a month or so. Excellent food.

My first time eating here was AMAZING! Thanks to Tino and the management. Tino provided us with outstanding service and made us feel like royalty after he has worked a double from 9am to 11pm as we were hid last table. Not to mention being a young couple my bf and I usually get profiled as bad tippers so we get bad service at places but not here. I wanted an item that wasn’t on the menu but the chefs made it for me anyways! The food came out perfectly! We will definitely be coming back and asking for the same waiter. I would recommend anyone to the Pappasitos off 75 in Richardson.

We eat here to much lol. My husband loves thus place especially on Wednesdays AKA half off fajitas, witch is a good deal however I feel like the food is old and never comes out fresh on whensday during dinner. I fine that if you get there before 5pm or after 8pm the food is much better on whensdays. Never had a problem with service here. Staff is always vary friendly.

Always a safe bet with Pappasitos … In Dallas for a show and needed some Mexican food quick! Drinks were tasty, cerveza Rita was delicious and refreshing ! We started with the calamari, which was not my favorite. I was not responsible for the order and im pretty particular when it comes to calamari, so I wasn’t expecting to be impressed. Super fried and just your typical frozen fish, then fry. I ordered the beef, chicken fajitas and they were good… The tortillas were so good though!!! House made fresh and hot ! Guacamole is very good here too! Fresh and big chunks of avocado! Service was good too, nothing out of good family but nothing bad to say . I’ve always been a fan, so I will be back in a another city I’m sure.

–stars based on ambience– Same yummy food staff and dWink as other pappasito’s cantinas BUT! H.D., Evy& Mary should look in to updating this location… It’s kinda stinky… It looks like it use to be the clear lake location of pappadeaux in 1990 but they changed the music and painted the walls purple:/ I know they can afford a update, they just did one by my house in Houston and it’s awesome! Anywayzz I felt uncomfortable I enjoy nice things and I love people watching:) but not here. Agin, the food was sill just as good but I say I will not be back, kinda felt like a low end cantina in a bad area. Definitely not a first date location.

This is your typical tex-mex place from the décor to the food. They are known for their margaritas and have a good happy hour list(in the bar only). If I had to choose Mexican for dinner, I wouldn’t think of this place first. But I do love the occasional happy hour here.

Three stars since it feels like a chain because it is. We were a large group and ate a million tortilla chips. They are perfect. Thin, crispy, salty. Salsa is good but harmless. Would be nice to have a hot salsa or a green salsa. I had the Texas snapper and it was very good. Shrimp accompaniment was over cooked. Location of tortilla making makes me wonder about the over judgement of the management. Way too close to the Men’s room(see photo).

Came in during Sunday lunch. We ordered the Plato del Mars. Good size plate for 2. And GREAT if you are looking for a Tex-Mex taste. Our server was attentive and fast. The manager lives up to the saying«customers come first». They had forgotten our shrimp on our Plato del Mars plate. The manager came to apologize and to say that it would be reflected on our bill. And had brought the shrimp as fast as they could. We were expecting a small discount.(We understand mistakes happen; we were not at all upset about it.) when the bill did come, he had removed the plate completely off. Free of charge. WOW! Enough said. Great customer service and delicious food!

This place is nice to get some good food. A little bit expensive. As I arrived there is good parking in the back of the establishment. They are right off the service road of 75. Looking inside the atmosphere has a great family friendly feel. Great for big parties. They also have a bar to left when entering with Tv’s. I ordered the Plato de delmar. It’s was pretty good. The plate consist of chicken, tortilla, pick de Gallo, sour cream and cheese. As for the side they had rice and beans. I forgot the plate had grilled shrimp. The plate was delicious and savory. I would recommend coming here. Some waiters may seem busy and that is because they are. So be patient and conversate with family and friends. Great place to unwind and let some laughter out.

pappasitos is a traditional tex-mex restaurant; super cheesy enchiladas, housemade flour and corn tortillas, smokey charro beans, fajitas slathered in dreamy garlic butter. if you want their housemade corn tortillas, make sure you request them. sometimes they don’t have them. they are fairly new and they are still trying to work out the kinks. when you get them, they are delicate with lacey edges and have a fantastic flavor. the queso is great, their fish tacos are the only ones I crave, and their ritas and sangria are yummy! being raised in richardson, i have been going to this location since the first week it opened. i do crave their dishes, and i definitely recommend for when you’re craving texmex and you’re in the area. my only complaint is that they are a bit on the pricey side.

If you’re in the mood for a strawberry margarita, this is the place to go. Hands down the best that I’ve had in the area. Comes in a giant frosty bowl/glass and filled with little bits so you know there were real strawberries involved at some point. Perfection. Their chips and salsa are a 4⁄5. The chips were quite tasty and could be eaten on their own, but the salsa wasn’t my favorite. It’s that roasted tomato browner color salsa so that’s either your thing or it isn’t. Too sweet in my opinion. The queso we ordered was a 3⁄5. Nothing I’d order again. Steak fajitas were just average. I’d give them a 3⁄5. The meat was nothing spectacular, they didn’t come out even sizzling. The condiments were nothing spectacular and the tortillas were standard. I’ve had better at much cheaper restaurants. These did not live up to the price tag. Perhaps this is simply not what to order here, but it’s what I was hungry for. Ambiance and service were wonderful. The bartender was very attentive and friendly, the restaurant was very clean and well maintained. I’ll probably give them another try on the food front, perhaps for happy hour and another margarita. Ambiance: 5⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Food: 3⁄5 Drinks: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5

I love their bacon wrapped shrimp, margaritas, chips and salsa, table side guacamole and soups. OK, I’ll eat practically anything there… and know it’s going to be delicious. My latest love is their Tres Leches cake — get it and thank me after the first bite! Why don’t they have Pappasito’s in Michigan, dang it all?! Always busy. Pretty packed for both lunch and dinner., but tons of waiters and runners. Parking lot is huge. Really good chain.

$ 28 for beef fajitas? Yes, it’s true… sour cream and cheese are extra too. I tried it, thinking they must be amazing, but they were just good, I’d say 7⁄10. They are good with kids — they give out balloons and tortilla dough balls to play with, so that’s a big plus. I just can’t get over paying almost double price for my meal. I Guess that’s why they do half price fajitas on Wednesdays.

Our first time here based on a friend who liked the Houston location. The place was very busy on a Tuesday evening for dinner. We had an excellent server, John who made sure we were happy. A short review to get right to it. There were four of us and we all had different dishes. Each was very good. We had the table side guacamole and it was wonderful. If we go back I would look at ordering differently. We had way too much food and our bill was a hefty $ 180 with tip. That included only 2 alcohol drinks. Some of our dishes included a good portion of guacamole so the table side was overkill for us. The portions are large and could easily be shared. We saw veteran diners doing their meals family style. I would explore that idea the next time. I like the old style atmosphere and the genuine Mexican feel this place has. A little step back in time. Although we do not normally like a chain restaurant, this place feels more like a one off kind of place. Check it out, I think you will like it!

Aye caramba this place is SO good! Came for Mother’s Day dinner and they still had over an hour wait list, but I don’t mind waiting at this place because it’s awesome! We had a great server named Laura who was really on top of her game. Friendly & engaging. We ordered the Shrimp, Chicken & Beef Fajita platter for $ 32.00. It comes with a huge serving of guacamole and incredibly delicious tortillas! It’s plenty of food for 2 persons. And don’t forget their chips — light crispy little triangles of loveliness! This place is definitely worth the drive across town!

We have been here many times and the food and service did not disappoint us this time. We arrived about 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and while the patio looked inviting, we selected a booth inside because of the wind that day. The server was prompt and the chips were delivered within a minute. We ordered our beer and it was ice cold. We had a great spot to people watch while we waited for our food. My chief compliant for this restaurant chain has always been that the food comes out to quickly, making your stay feel rushed. This time it was better. Our server was a Trainer and we could really tell the difference in the attention to service. At times we felt he has anticipated our needs. While we didn’t have room for dessert, we did add stuffed jalapeños. They were huge and had a great flavor. Make sure you try them out. I highly recommend this location. Enjoy!
