We came here because my daughter has food allergies — it’s definitely a tasty place but talk about extreme sugar rush!!! Everything tastes like it has 150% more sugar then it should(as most GF products do, IMHO) and I just felt lethargic after having a few bites of a cake. The people are nice, I just wish things didn’t taste overly sweet.

It’s true — vegan pastries can be good! And Reverie has mastered the art with style and lots of flavor. I had the soyrizo/sweet potato taco which is more like an empanada — good spice and balance with the sweet potato and crisp crust. The breakfast scramble turnover had a flaky crust and savory filling. The cinnamon roll is sweet and tender with super cinnamon. According to my bro the donuts are really good. A pecan bar and piece of blood orange cheesecake is in the refrigerator for later! Can’t wait! If you think you can’t eat vegan, go out on a limb and try Reverie. Savory or sweet, I bet you’ll find something you like.

Being vegan it’s hard to find fresh baked goods, so even though they’re a little pricey, given that they are specialty items I am willing to pay. Although my favorites are actually their savory selections: Like sausage kolaches, quiche, and breakfast scrabble turnovers… you can’t find this stuff made vegan very easily in the metroplex. I’ve never been dissatisfied with my selection either.

Came in a few times and I’ve tried: champagne something cake ball, strawberry frangipane tart, peanut butter cup and a fo stess cupcake. All very tasty! I always come too late in the day so there aren’t many cupcakes to choose from but I can say the Fo stess is amazing!

Three stars because I came here when it opened and my cupcake was not moist and had a weird taste, so I thought I had sworn off vegan cupcakes forever. I gave it try again to get something other than a cupcake, but all they really had we’re cupcakes and cookies so I got a cupcake. Glad I did because the chocolate cupcake with white chocolate lavender ganache was really good. Maybe I tried gluten free before, and if that was the case they should warn people. Update: They have updated their recipes since opening and have improved them. I was told the gluten free tastes as good as the rest of the cupcakes. The Tiramisu Cake was good too. They also serve breakfast, but only open at 8. I would suggest an earlier open time.

I am in Dallas for a few days and having fruit and cereal as the only vegan options at the hotel was getting old. I ran over to this bakery, that’s tucked into a shopping center, to check it out. I got there right when they opened and although 8am is a late opening time for a bakery, everything was fresh and they were still filling the display. They had a pretty good selection. Some of the prices were talking little high. I am a pastry chef, so I know the work that goes into it, but they were still a little high. I got a maple pecan scone and a cinnamon roll. Best store bought cinnamon roll I’ve had. The scone was good, too, but I’d only get the cinnamon roll and try something else, if I went back. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Its okay, but definitely not the best vegan pastry shop. The stuff is sometimes bland, hard, and never fluffy. The icing is too much for vegans to eat, maybe for people who still eat animal products it is okay but for vegans it doesn’t take too much sugar to make it unbearable. The cookies suck, they have an aftertaste, and the red velvet cuocakes have like baking soda in the lining and it is disgusting and salty. Have tried a couple but they’re all the same.

FANTASTIC! I went with a friend who is absolutely not vegan — think meat and potatoes only. He loved the cinnamon bun! I loved my cake ball and cheesecake. Everything was so delicious!

I LOVE this bakery! You can hardly tell their treats are vegan/gluten-free. My favorites are the oatmeal cream pie(better than the ones I got as a kid), and the Elvis cupcake. I also love their banana muffin for breakfast!

Having heard such rave reviews, I wanted so desperately to be blown away by Reverie Bakeshop as I’ve really yet to find a baked goods spot here in Dallas that can compete with some of the staples in New York City and California. While Reverie has some good options, I’m not convinced that I’ve yet found my Dallas go-to. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? One thing I will say is that the service and atmosphere at Reverie are excellent, and the fast and friendly staff are clearly passionate about what they do. Want to know details about the ingredients or the baking process? Done. Need some specialty items for an event? Done. Want to just shoot the breeze with a friendly face? Done. Whether you’re in to have a seat and some coffee or on the go for a fast snack, Reverie provides a great service and atmosphere. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? For better or for worse, baked goods are commanding a premium these days, and having paid $ 7.00 during my most recent visit to Dominique Ansel in New York City for a frozen s’more I don’t even know what to expect these days. Here at Reverie it’s expensive but not yet totally out of control. While $ 2.50 is a bit much for a standard chocolate chip cookie given you can get them for under $ 1 at Tiff’s Treats and $ 3.00 is slightly steep for a smaller cup cake, I realized when I thought about it that I was more often than not paying roughly that for gourmet donuts in the area these days, and are cup cakes or cookies so different? Reverie is on the edge here price wise, but there’s still value to be found. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? So here we were, a chocolate chip cookie(not pictured) and an Apple Pie cup cake(pictured). Were they good? They were good, but honestly neither blew me away. The chocolate chip cookie did have some ingredient that I can’t quite place that made it in my mind better than say Tiff’s Treats of Pokey O’s, but the cup cake was a real let down. I appreciated the actual apples in the center(although it was a minuscule amount), but the frosting on top didn’t taste different from what I’ve had from a the store and the cup cake itself was dry and without too much of it’s own flavor to speak of. Again I won’t say I disliked either, but neither blew me away. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Reverie Bakeshop is good, and with their top notch service and atmosphere complimenting an ever changing lineup of goods you should check it out, but I can’t say that they’ll become my go-to bakeshop in the area. No Star Granted.

Why is there not a place like this where I live?! I’ve missed stuff like this ever since I went vegan. They have got it down! I couldn’t decide on one thing, so I got several… The sausage and Dayia cheese kolache, the veggie dog jalapeño kolache, the Turco empanada and the Boston cream donut. They were all delicious and the empanada and sausage kolache were exceptional! Where have you been all my life, Reverie? The young man who helped me was friendly and helpful. He told me what’s popular and steered me in the right direction(though in pretty sure nothing’s in the wrong direction here). The space is small — really no seating within the bakery. There are, however, about three tables out front if you’d like to munch there. All in all, a delightful experience(seriously, dat empanada doh! Try it! You won’t be sorry).

I ordered the most beautiful custom cake for my best friend’s birthday. This cake wasn’t on their normal list of flavored, but the my were willing to make it anyway! The cake was amazing! I also love their oatmeal cookie sandwich, pumpkin cinnamon roll, and I’ve been known to stop in for a mid day Kolache snack! I’m not a huge fan of their donuts, but everything else is great!!!

Tried four different items, not a fan of any. Desserts were bland and tasteless. I would not recommend. They get an extra start because the girl behind the counter was nice.

Definitely worth the trip! I got about ½ dozen treats. The oatmeal cream cookie thing, the chocolate cupcake filled with cream, the berry crumble, the chocolate chip cookie and a couple of other cupcakes. The ones that I remember were my favorites. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because one of the cupcakes was a little dry and they did not have any Whoopie Pies! But, the staff is really great and I felt welcomed. It’s great that it is vegan, but I really didnt go there because of that. It just great sweets vegan or not.

This place is awesome. I came here like 3 times before I realized they were vegan. That is the true test of a good bakery when something is healthy but you can’t taste a difference. No one wants to eat healthy and feel like they are eating healthy. They are reasonably priced and are always friendly. I have never had anything I did not like.

I wanted to get some GF cupcakes for my coworker and found this place through good ol’ Unilocal.I ordered a dozen, half classic vanilla — half raspberry/vanilla cake/chocolate frosting. They were so good! Everyone at work loved them. I had never had GF before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I wouldn’t have even known they were missing the goodness of gluten. The frosting also wasn’t overpoweringly sweet, which I liked as well. I usually have to scrape off most of the frosting on other cupcakes, but I licked all of this up! The next month I decided to order an 8″ classic vanilla cake. It was 3 layered and decorated simiply but very nicely. It wasn’t as good the cupcakes. I definitely still ate it up and went back for seconds, but the distinct taste of the cake came through and it was more on the firm side, which maybe characteristic of GF products, but I don’t remember the cupcakes being that way. Either way, I’d probably order more cupcakes from them since they were a hit at work. I emailed them both times to put in my order and they responded by the end of the next day. And I had to exercise every bit of self control to not buy more cupcakes and ice cream and pastries when I went into the shop to pick up my orders.

Came for some light catering for a business meeting, and, I am very pleased to report that the 30+ people I took catering to – all of whom work less than 1 mile from this bakeshop — had never heard of the place; loved the catering; and said they would be back on their own. I am happy to help! That said, I had a weird vibe when I walked in and tried to order catering for about 24(we would up cutting some things in half at the meeting, which is how the order wound up impacting more than 24 people). The woman at the counter said, «Well, we normally require large orders being placed ahead of time.» I guess I don’t see picking up 2 dozen cookies as a large order. And, that response really left me confused — do you want my money, or don’t you? I hate to «zing» them for that one response, but it really was confounding.

Sometimes words like«awesome», «wonderful», «amazing» are overused… and sometimes these words aren’t warranted. In the case of Reverie Bakeshop, all of these words are 100% accurate. When talking about Reverie, take the word«Vegan» out of the mix. These cookies and cakes rival all baked goods that I’ve tasted here in DFW… not just vegan ones. I’ve read about this bakery and have always planned on visiting. It’s kind of out of my way, so when I got the chance to go, we stocked up on a few goodies to take home and try later. The shopping list included: a peanut butter cookie(amazing flavor, soft and chewy), a peanut butter brownie(just like the cookie, but in brownie form), cheese cake with chocolate brownie inside, and a coffee cake for the next morning. :) I’ll start off by saying that they have gotten everything perfected. Taste, texture, etc. A lot of time vegan baked goods have one or the other. They taste real good, but they’re dry and crumbly, or the texture is good, but the taste is flat. In the case of Reverie, everything is perfection. I’m normally not a huge fan of vegan cream cheeses like Tofutti, but whichever one they use, they make it taste good in their cheesecakes! You get that tangy taste that you miss in a lot of vegan cream cheeses. These cheesecakes are definitely top of the line! I believe it was the owner that we chatted with in line when we got our treats. She was awesome! Real helpful, friendly, and made real good recommendations! The only regret that I have is not trying their coffee. It doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not, stop by Reverie… it’s one of the best Bakeries that you’ll visit… hands down.

My daughter’s favorite place for a cupcake! She has to have gluten free and vegan and while there aren’t a lot options, this place is the best! It is well located, keeps regular hours, clean and all of the staff is fried I love the snickerdoodle cookies! I always get one of these giant cookies anytime they are offered. We both like the pumpkin muffins. I am beyond glad this place exist. All of the staff is extremely friendly and informed. I probably wouldn’t have appreciated this store as much before my daughter food allergy diagnosis. I love that there is somewhere she can go to enjoy fun treats.
