This is my new favorite Sichuan food spot. Being Chinese I sure appreciate more authentic taste at this new place. I had been there so many times and completely gave up on royal Sichuan. This one has more Chinese street food options in their appetizer and new hip dishes types such as the grill fish. Overall, I love this place and i think it’s the best Sichuan place in Dallas

«I’ve been around the world and aye yi yi yi… I can’t find my baby…» Poor Lisa Stansfield :( I got your back. Go to Sichuan King in Richardson’s China Town instead, and open wide for a winner winner pork belly dinner. This is officially my favorite noodles joint I pass by all the time and didn’t know I’d love. Its kind’a like falling in love with a best friend; they’ve always been there but WHYDIDN’T I KNOW!!! Maybe Lisa should put down the mic and pick up her high school year book. #sorryaboutit. Anyway, Sichuan King delivers. I enjoyed the Pork Belly«Cut» noodle, and an order of the Pork Gravy steamed buns. I didn’t intentionally«pig» out but sooooo happy how this meal resolved. Pork Belly«Cut» noodle: The broth… piping hot, full bodied, and savory. The noodles… rough cut, gooey, and filling. The veggie… green, fresh, and snappy. The pork belly: thoughtfully prepared for the Gods!

The food here is very authentic and flavorful. Plenty of options for vegetarians and pescetarians. I order the vegetable dumplings, the scallions pancakes, the Kung pao shrimp and the fish in fiery sauce with white rice. Everything tasted fresh and was delivered to our table hot. The service was great, although when I went it wasn’t busy. The portions were great. I had so much food left over. The only reason I won’t give this place a five star rating is because they took the seeds out of the sichuan peppers. So the food wasn’t that spicy. The reason according to the staff is because majority of the mass public couldn’t handle it. Instead they use sichuan pepper powder in all their recipes. I’ll still be back.

This place is only good for appetizers and noodles. The rest of the spicy dishes taste the same bc they have the same spices so you wonder what you’re eating and why does it taste the same. Even though they are different! Only come here for appetizers and noodles! The service was great but the restrooms was not so much.

Not a fan of this place, especially when compared to its neighbor, Royal Sichuan. I also find it tacky that they have virtually the same name in the same strip mall. Ordinarily, I refrain from reviewing a restaurant unless I’ve been multiple times, but the experience was so bad I felt compelled to break it. My mother and I ordered the pig tongue, pig ear, and beef. All was served from a refrigerator rather than a deli bar. The beef was not marinated and was merely sprinkled with crushed red pepper as an after thought. Not a great way to start. The other dishes we shared, garlic eggplant, beef soup, and a curry lamb, all underwhelmed. I had the exact same dishes at Royal Sichuan and they were better. The service was fine, just a little slow. I’m being harsh because we decided to try a new place instead of Royal Sichuan and were disappointed. This is not because Sichuan King is different. It’s just not as good. I would not give such a poor rating to Sichuanese Restaurant in Plano. But I will admit that I am giving a worse review because I don’t like that this new restaurant is copying the name, décor, and food style of a superior restaurant in the same area. In regards to Sichuanese restaurants in Richardson, Sichuan King is not the true king.

Conveniently located in the same plaza as Jeng Chi and another Sichuan competitor just a few doors down, this was my second time at Sichuan King. I have to admit, we did not have a great experience the first time we ate there and it has been a long time since we were there. Well, the second time was a charm. The dishes were ordered were all very tasty and service was attentive. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken which was delicious. The sauce was tasty and tangy which made all the difference. The Mongolian Beef was also very flavorful and finaly the Sliced Beef in Fiery Sauce had good heat and also included some vegetables in the bowl. Topped off with bowls of white rice and this was a filling and enjoyable meal. Our waiters made sure our water and rice levels were full and they were very friendly. I guess we will be back a third time!

I would say this place is a 3.5−4 stars. Only because sometimes it is inconsistent. Not sure if the chef changes on the daily, but sometimes it was really good and sometimes it tasted off. Got the spicy wonton soup– spicy and delicious! Soup dumplings are good, but a little too meaty for me. The Spicy beef noodle soup is really good here on their good days. We also got some tofu with spicy black bean seasoning on it, it had strong black bean flavor with perfect amount of Sichuan spice on it. We also tried the stir fried hot pot special they had. Flavor was there but too much veggies! Needs more protein, especially for the price. I haven’t gone back in a while but I’ll return when I’m craving that sichuan numbing pepper taste! Only go here if you love spicy!

Spicy pot combination tastes awesome, and it is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Texas. We came during our second trip to Dallas at Saturday night. The only drawback is that the beef in the pot was not very fresh, so we did not eat them.

The menu is large with many options but the food is mediocre at best, especially with other options in the same area. We tried it out because the restaurant we wanted to go to was too busy. I read reviews that were really good and bad here but I decided to give it a chance anyway and I was very disappointed. The food looks delicious but leaves a lingering almost metallic aftertaste from the spices they put in. The price points and portion size are good though, if that’s all you need then you can try but I would not recommend it. The steamed bun and shredded tofu with pork were decent but I would not return just for those two items.

I’m surprised this restaurant has 3.5 stars, as of 12÷26÷25. This is my favorite place out of every Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in HTX, ATX, and DTX to get some authentic Chinese food. The food here is amazing! I normally get the xiaolongbao, which is a steamed bun with soup inside. I also get the pork belly, which is amazingly soft and tender here. Lastly, I always get the kung pao chicken, which is a spicy stir-fry dish made with chicken, peanuts, vegetables, and chili peppers. I wish the kung pao chicken dish was a tad spicier, but it’s still amazing nonetheless. You honestly cannot go wrong with any of these dishes because they’re all equally so delectable! If you’re with some family members or a group of friends, then I would highly recommend doing family style. NOTE: You get a discount if you pay with cash!

I dropped in for lunch with a couple friends and was really surprised at how great of service we received. The staff were quick and courteous, and the food was really tasty. We ordered the pork gravy buns, dan dan noodles(we each took 1 order home also), and the spicy fried chicken. Everything was so tasty, but I the buns were quite deflated. The noodles were a hit, and at $ 6, I WILL be back!

Eaten here 3 times now, and what they do, they do exceptionally well. The focus is on Sichuan hot pot, so keep that in mind, it’s not really a full Sichuan menu, though they do have non-hot pot dishes. Portions are humongous and prices are crazy low. I ate the fiery beef for lunch, and had 2 more lunches as leftovers! I’ve tried: Zhong’s dumplings: ok. Spicy, but otherwise uninteresting Sichuan spicy wonton: quite good, though I miss the black vinegar my favorite place in NJ used to add. Marinated pork ear: bad. It’s a dish I’ve had before and it should be more tender. These were more or less inedible. Pork belly noodle soup: pork belly was excellent, but the broth did not do it for me. Soy sauce and oregano? No thanks! Sliced beef with fiery sauce: incredibly good. Layers of flavor that weren’t lost in all the heat. A must try for fire lovers. Mapo tofu: the classic Sichuan dish, best we’ve had in the metroplex!(So far) Good amount of heat, nice black bean flavor coming through. Downside: low-quality tofu ruins it for me. Deep fried chicken with roasted chili: exceptional! This is a deep-fried interpretation of one of my favorite dishes. A lot of heat, a lot of flavor, fantastic quality.

The only place I know that serves sliced noodles. I always get the spicy wonton and spicy beef with sliced noodles soup. Never disappoint me.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them before. Very authentic, right down to how rude they are. I imagine westerners can be put off by this, but just back from China, I can appreciate not having to wash the utensils and plates in hot water before eating The food is excellent. The cold noodles are the best I’ve had. Tried them at about 15 different places in Sichuan province, and none were this good. …or cold ;-) The pork belly is a great choice for us white people, and their«Spicey Fried Chicken»(little cube pieces), are the freshest, tenderest, and best tasting in any Chinese restaurant I’ve been in. They can be spicy, so be careful. Yum Great for mixed company. PS Kung Pow chicken is good too ;-) Avoid the chicken feet… fiancé says they used to be really good, but now they suck. 泡椒凤爪不再正宗,只有咸味没有酸味

The food here is incredible! I believe it is extremely close to authentic Sichuan food. I can only say good things about their menu, prices and customer service! I ordered spicy tofu, spicy beef, vegetables and rice(very normal) and was blown away completely! The tofu and beef’s spices gave the food such a kick and complimented the food so well. The vegetables balanced out the beef with the rice and really brought the meal together. I loved my dining experience here! I came with my mother and we both agreed that the food is too good to pass up, so I definitely recommend it!

Sichuan King, where to start… I have on many occasions come 1 – 2 days in a row because that’s just how good Sichuan King is! It’s authentic Sichuan cuisine and makes you feel like you’re eating the food from the Sichuan province in China. The only way for me to break down this review is to go straight into the food. Their smaller sides/appetizers are all handmade and decent. The hand pancake, which is similar to the green onion pancake fun to have to dip into the sauces of the main dishes. The soup dumplings are excellent and take a little longer because they are made to order. KUNGPAOCHICKEN: Forget panda express and everything you think you know about this dish. Sichuan king serves up authentic kung pao chicken that’ll blow your taste buds out of the ball park. Watch out for the small peppercorns, they stir fry them into the dish for the taste and not to eat, if you bite into one, your mouth will fill numb for a couple of seconds. Pork Belly: The most TENDER pork belly I have ever had. Image a slab of ramen quality pork belly drenched in delicious sweet and sour sauce. If you like pork belly you HAVE to try it here. Fried Tofu: crispy and soft tofu that comes with their homemade sweet and sour sauce. Hand shaved noodles: they have«dao xiao mian» which are hand cut noodles and they serve them up in many different versions, stiffed, soup, cold… Spicy Wontons: fresh wontons sitting in a bath of fiery chili sauce. Crispy Pig Intestines: Don’t let the strange part of the pig scare you, Sichuan king fries them to crispy gloriness and stir fries them in chills, red bell peepers, and onions, topped with cilantro. Service is alright, sometimes hard to get the waiters attention but the food makes up for it. –10% off the check when you pay with cash, be sure to mention this to the waiter when you ask for your check.

I can’t say enough about this place! 3rd time here and every time it’s like a party in my mouth! Tried some new dishes today — cabbage with vermicelli was awesome, not listed as spicy, but it definitely packed some heat. Also the«pork gravy buns» aka xiao long bao were by far the best in DFW! Excellent soup inside and skin not too thick. Filling less compact than I like and twice the size of Din Tai Fung style, but still very good. We also loved the cold cucumbers and the pan fried dumplings — bun was so fresh and soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Can’t post without mentioning the spicy pork sliced noodles(hand cut in-house) — phenomenal! We seriously need to eat here more often!

Our food came out not too long after we ordered. The pork belly was delicious! There was a sweet sauce all over items the pork belly was so soft a juicy. It was a little overpriced for the amount of pork we got. The Xiao long bao was so fresh and the soup inside was good. The hand pancake wasn’t anything special. I would prefer the scallion pancake because the hand pancake was really plain. Scallions would add more flavor to it. I loved the pan fried buns! You could tell they were handmade. They were soft and definitely really filling. The beef with green onions was delicious! The beef was soft and chewy and they added a ton of onions which were cooked perfectly! Overall I would recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes soon!

This place is so authentic! Sichuanese food is usually super spicy and I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy foods, so I’m glad that they had non-spicy food options. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, chicken dumplings, and pig ears. The shrimp dumplings were more of a combination of shrimp, mushroom, and vegetables. The chicken dumplings were just chicken, but still so yummy. The pig ears were perfect. Usually I order spicy pig ears, but we got the non-spicy version this time and they are soooo good. Everyone seriously needs to try pig ears at least once in their lifetime. I want to come back here again and try some of their other foods, because the menu was pretty huge.
