It’s a Champps. Rarely disappointed here. A good safe chain to have a meal. The grown up grill cheese was very good. I usually have the standby burger but I felt a bit on the wild side that night and tried the grilled cheese. Get it! You will not be disappointed. Always plenty of TV’s and slightly on the noisy side. First time I ate at this one. Service was good, access was good and it was clean. Sometimes you need the sure thing and Champps has never disappointed.

Meh. I used to love the burgers but they aren’t that special anymore and are definitely over priced. It’s not bad but you can do better.

This place is great! I don’t know why it has such a low rating. Whenever my husband and I visit Minnesota we stop at Champps at least once because they have great food and sports are always on. We’ve been to this one a few times since it’s the closest one to the airport. The staff is really friendly and attentive, the prices aren’t bad, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It’s our favorite sports bar/restaurant to go to in Minnesota.

Who would think I would be so happy with my experience at a sports bar! Seriously, i just ate my leftovers from Champps Richfield and was compelled to share. Seated quickly, everyone friendly, noise level fine for conversation. I had the tuscan salmon and it was amazing(note that I swapped out the broccoli for rice; a girl’s gotta have her carbs). It was a great combo of fish and mediterranean veggies in a light sauce. The service was great — Will hooked us up with happy hour drink and appetizer prices(love it when you don’t have to sit at the bar to get the better prices). He was attentive, gave good recommendations, and kept our drinks filled and table clear without loitering around too much. My friend had chicken fingers with some kind of amazing glaze that the waiter suggested– it tasted like a much more expensive dish(and only $ 5 during happy hour). I was expecting a boring burger/wing-type menu, but got so much more! Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere for going out. A little load but I was in the mood for it. Food was great and service even better.

I’m surprised at the ratings for this place! Each time I come here the service is amazing. Tonight I came in for happy hour and was immediately greeted with a giant smile and genuine hello. I was seated quickly and our server(missy) approached just as fast; she took our drink order and returned not even 2 minutes later. She then took our food order making sure to clarify what was being asked and finally re-read the order to make sure it sounded correct. The food came out quickly, was very warm, and tasted phenomenal. Since it was happy their food was extremely cheap(5 $ for each thing); We had chicken tenders tossed in a hot honey sauce, a bacon cheeseburger, and waffle fries. The only complaint we had was that the food didn’t come out together(but I don’t feel it’s worthy a full star deduction, maybe like .5 of a star). Overall, I really enjoy this champps location and will be coming back for their awesome happy hour

It is very odd that a sports bar will not even entertain putting the UFC fight on, even though they are signed up and willing to host a PPVUFC event! The host was very short and rude, he obviously didn’t like his job. They will not play UFC fight nights although they are on the list of bars that host UFC PPVs. Disappointed. There is a reason they only have 2 stars on Unilocal.Went to BWW and they will show the fight!

I have mixed feeling about this place. Its could be cleaner. Waffle fris and season dip are amazing! Buffalo chicken sandwich is really good. Husband likes the burgers. There are lots of choices on the menu. But I have felt ill several times after I have eaten here. Dont know why I come back, I get craving ok ;)

wow champps has changed. it used to be the place where the food was delicious, prices were reasonable & portions were huge. $ 12 ceasar salad with 6 slivers of chicken and barely filled the shallow bowl w/lettuce. easily a $ 6 salad. blue moon beer 7.50? $ 12 for 10 chicken wings & no plates or wet whipes were brought. Poor service, high prices & low quality food are a sure fire way to exit the restaurant business. if I were the food expeditor or manager I would have been embarrassed. Champps should take pride in their heritage not exist off of it.

Hair in food is something someone should never experience, but according to «Josh,» the manager in charge on a recent Sunday night, it’s something that«happens all the time» at this particular Champp’s(yes, that’s a direct quote). My friend and I stopped in to have a couple beers, some food, and watch the Wild game. We only chose this place because of its proximity — Champp’s is not a place one goes out of his way to visit. I didn’t get any food because I’d eaten an early dinner. My friend got some sort of Tex-Mex themed burger, the South of the Border burger I believe, with waffle fries. Our visit got off to a not so promising start when our server told us about beer specials, we ordered one of them(a bucket of four bottle beers), and then were told they were no longer offering that special. So we went with some simple domestic taps instead. Can’t screw that up, right? Wrong. The Premium my friend ordered was watered down, with no carbonation. I ordered a Bud Light(it was on special) which was fine, so it was clearly some issue with that keg. My friend decided to order an Angry Orchard instead, which he wouldn’t have done had he known they were going to charge him $ 6 for it. $ 6 for a pint of Angry Orchard? At a Champp’s? C’mon now. Things got real when my friend got to the last waffle fry on his plate, only to find a disgusting, greasy dark hair attached to it. We promptly flagged down our server, who did the right thing by going to get the manager. The manager was not thrilled to have to deal with this situation, starting off with the sarcastic comment«Here at Champp’s we strive not to have this occur.» I understand humor and sarcasm can often help diffuse a frustrating situation, but when you’ve just eaten your entire meal and find hair on the last bite, it ruins things(how much hair did he consume in his meal?), and the proper customer service approach would be to be as apologetic and kind as possible. Instead, we were made to feel like we were causing a nuisance and making a fuss out of something insignificant. When it came to pay our bill, our server pulled the classic disappearing act, even ignoring us several times when she passed right by us. Let’s see, if you have a table whose food had hair in it, I’d try to be attentive to that table. Not so. I had to flag the manager down again to get our server, who was now busy with about 8 tables at once. I told him that we expected better service, especially with what had happened to us, and he said«Why are you guys complaining? I just bought you about $ 30 in food»(it was about $ 12 in food, and we were complaining because THEREWASHAIRINIT). I pointed out that hair in food is an obvious health code violation and he said«No it isn’t. You don’t know what you’re talking about.» So really, «Josh,» if the health inspector came around and saw hair in entrees, he wouldn’t care, wouldn’t write you up for it? He then took to calling me rude, which I wasn’t, but even if I had been, it’s customer service 101 not to insult the customer. I think we could have looked past the hair in the food incident, as unpleasant as that was, had it been handled properly by the manager and our service been otherwise good. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Good HH specials. The nachos are great, and only $ 5 on happy hour! Chammpps has stepped up their beer game and now has a lot of local taps, on Thurs they are all $ 2! INCLUDINGSURLYFURIOUS. When you can get a Surly at a bar for less than buying it at a liquor store, you are doing it right! Friendly bartenders too. They do not have as big a tap list as the Ridgedale location but it is closer to home so what do you do!

Champps has recently undergone a makeover… Their revamped menu is an obvious attempt to challenge more upscale competitors. The menu pictures are pretty and the descriptions sound delightful. Unfortunately, they decided to jack up prices while not jacking up the quality of the product. My most recent experience… Yesterday we stopped by mainly for a few beers, but some of those at the table grew hungry and decided to order food. One dish, the Fajita Steak Tacos, looked and sounded great on the menu. The actual product was borderline ridiculous… a relatively large flour tortilla with two small pieces of steak, some sort of unappealing salsa, and limp lettuce /tomato on the side. I initially laughed when it came out, and asked the food delivery person about it. He apologized and walked off. Our server later stopped by and asked if he could get us some more filling, to which we obliged. Even with the added filling, the tacos were not good… cheap steak and sub-par ingredients. When we got the bill, they decided to charge close to $ 5 for the filling, meaning those piss-poor tacos cost $ 6 each. I think I’ll skip food here from now on, and just stick to the beers. I recommend anyone else do the same.

They advertise«any game on any TV» but we were here over an hour, after asking for the Boston Bruins game on and they never changed the channels. Home teams only. C’mon. Good fries though.

Hate the menu changes! I have always liked most Champps restaurants in the area but the recent change in the menu will have me looking for other restaurants. Champps was always known for large portions. Well no more, they recently changed the menu by decreasing the portion size but not the prices. I had buffalo chicken sandwich it used to be a large piece of chicken on a large bun, now it is a small piece of chicken on a small bun. After it arrived at the table I thought I should have ordered the hamburger they always have great hamburgers. Nope table next to me order the hamburger and they too are now small. It would appear that Gordon Ramsey made a stop and told them the portions are too big and people will not notice. Well I noticed and the table next to me noticed because they referred the the new burgers as gourmet or kind word for less for more. Please go back to the old Champps I used to love Service was great always is at this location.

Came here with a buddy of mine to watch the Wild(who sadly got dominated by the Blackhawks). We were able to get a good seat at the bar, in eyesight of 4 – 5 big screens. This place is great if you’re wanting to watch a sporting event. Our bartender/waitress was attentive and friendly, checking in regularly to make sure our drinks were topped off. They had a surprisingly good selection of beer at this location. While I was expecting the standard American light beers(think Miller, Bud, Michelob), they had some Summit and other microbrews on tap. I ordered the California Turkey Wrap, which was surprisingly good. The ingredients all tasted fresh, and the guac was a nice addition. The pasta salad that came along was nothing to write home about, but it wasn’t bad either. If you’re looking for a good place to watch a game and grab some beer and food, this Champps can’t be beat.

Stumbled in with a small group around 7:30 pm. We were seated right away. We ordered drinks. I got the house wine(barefoot chardonnay)-only $ 4 for the glass! For dinner, I got a the veggie burger patty with guac. The burger was really not bad and the guac was packed with flavor. I was happy that they had any heathy-ish offerings here. My bf ordered the app sliders, which he gobbled down. This would not be my top pick for a night out but it was a fine place just to relax with some friends for a little bit. However, our server was a little too blunt for my liking.

We had a gift card to come to Champps and it was a bad idea to ask people to join us to use it. The service was horrible, the burger was so flimsy it was falling apart as I was eating it-gross, the mojito tasted like it was water. and not even mint water! Our friends got there first and the server rushed over when we sat down not to ask us for drinks, but to tell us if we want a really fast appetizer the queso comes out in 1.5 minutes. REALLY? Are we animals that we cannot sit down for a minute?! Finally, when the bill came, I took the bill, put in the gift card and the credit card, so obviously only one person was paying. When she brought it back 10 minutes later she stood at the head of the table to explain to me how much my bill was, how much my gift card was, and how much my balance was. WHAT? Are you kidding me? How embarrassing!!! What a jerk. Youll get your tip but do you have to point out how much my bill was in front of everyone? Disgusting.

I like Champp’s. Let me rephrase that. I like THIS Champp’s. Honestly, it’s because of the people I know there. Clientelle, servers, and bartenders. Other than that, it’s a Champp’s. Food is good. Espiecially the chicken tenders appitizer(half price after 10) Alcohol is good. Personally I drink mostly beer but I know they pour a good drink at this location. Staff is great. We’ve all been to a Champp’s. We all know what it is and what it isn’t. I can honestly say, however, that I have had a blast every single time I’m here. So come say hi. I’ll be there at 9:30 tonight sitting at the bar trying to win the bar bingo jackpot. $ 1900 baby!!!

A Cuban without pickles, isn’t a Cuban! Went there recently for lunch, not my choice, but centrally located for all of us coming from different areas. We were seated at a very long table near the kitchen. Server comes by takes the drink orders, drops them off, comes back to take the food orders. Everyone gets separate checks, so it takes *forever* to get the orders together and submitted. The food comes out, it’s fine. I ordered the Havana, but much to my surprise, it doesn’t have pickles, which makes no sense to me either. I wasn’t given a choice of fries, side salad, chips, cole slaw etc. I was just given fries. They were kind of cold and tasteless. My mom was given chips, which were homemade, I think, and awesome! The people I was with love chain restaurants, so they loved this place. I guess it could have been worse, we could have gone to Applebee’s or TGIFridays. P-U! Because of the separate check issue, the food for 2⁄3 of the table came out together and the remaining 1⁄3 about 10 mins later. The food was brought by the manager. The rest in the group were complaining about that, but I told them that’s what happens with separate checks. The meal was fine, but $ 10 is too much for that sandwich. The Cuban at Target Field is way better and a buck cheaper. The server was pleasant enough, but didn’t deserve more than a 15% tip — my water was never refilled.
