Worst place ever!!! 0 stars The other reviews sum up everything. There are no words to describe how gross it was.

This is a very Ghetto and Low Class establishment. Chris Ongaga the G. M is cluless on how to manage a buffet restaurant and she is indeed a rude and tacky person. Dave the manager is A rude, ignorant fool who does not care about his job. Crystal the cashier is a thief. She will over charge you and she is quite frankly a Ghetto immature person. People never go to this filthy, dirty location or you will regret it.

The dishes were dirty, I could not find a clean glass, and the food was dried out. I only eat the breakfast here and I will no longer come back to the Richfield location… Nasty !! Nasty!!! Nasty!!!

Filth, filth, filth. I arrived shortly after this dump opened for the day. The tile floors around the food was sticky and slippery with what felt like grease. The salad prep area had dried liquids and food all over the lower cabinets. That was enough for me to realize that this place just ever gets clean. Of the dining area is so disgusting, then God only knows what is occurring in the kitchen. I didn’t even eat here. I promptly walked out. No way would I chance it. I got my refunded and the manager didn’t even ask why I was requesting my money back. You think a family requesting a refund minutes after paying would trigger further investigation by the manager. Has to be one of the most unhygienic places to eat in the twin cities.

Today was the 2nd time my husband & I have been there since they remodeled last year. Our last visit had been rather disappointing. SAVEYOURMONEY!!! The place was filthy! The food-what little they had out was cold & had obviously been out a while. The salad bar was disgusting. No one had wiped down around the food & they added new food over the old. Dessert choices were pathetic at best. The fried chicken was good though. Another family member also had a bad experience at this location. We used to eat here quite frequently. Today was the last time though. We will check out the one in Burnsville next time.

If here was a way to give 0 stars, I would. It’s obvious that the manager is intimidated by his kitchen staff and they don’t listen. Everything is dirty, unkept and wilted or has a gross film on it. I understand that all OCBs use the same processed products, but if the staff had put a little bit of love into the food they are making it would make a huge difference. But instead it tastes like shit was slopped together and put out to die. Do not go here. I have never asked for my money back at a restaurant before, but tonight I did.

It’s hit or miss. Honestly, the only reason I go is because I live fairly close and, if you have a coupon, it’s ridiculously cheap. Sometimes, you wind up with chewy pancakes that have been out for too long. But, most of the time, everything’s adequate. I almost always go during weekend breakfast. I’ve seen breakfast meats(including sausage and bacon), french toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs, a variety of different breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, various fruits, donuts, and strudel bites. They also have the(somewhat small) salad bar open and there’s another station where you can make taco salads. I don’t know if I’ll ever pay dinnertime prices. It doesn’t seem a good enough value for the lack of variety you get.

Initially, when they had the renovation of the menu it was great. After several months, however, they fell back into their old habits. My last several visits were disappointing. The food is sitting too long on the heating tables and gets dried out. The staff seems to be cut back so that dishes are not removed from the tables promptly and the beverage/condiment area is not cleaned/mopped on a regular basis. There is no attempt at placing the right(or any) signs above many of the food and condiments so you can know what you have to choose from. Especially with their new single serve dishes, it is not always apparent what the main ingredients are. I personally do not eat fish or seafood and do not want to bite into a dish that has shrimp in it and have to spit it out and have a taste in my mouth that I can’t get rid of. I don’t actually have any food allergies, but those people are doomed here without proper signage.

Going down, down, down. What happened here? It is a nasty eatery. Tables are nasty and the carpet is dirty. You have to watch the silverware and plates because you are subject to get a dirty dish and/or utensil. The food is overcooked as in being dried out. The menu has regressed as in a lot of the food they once had is no longer an option. I believe perhaps their cooks left and the other staff members either got canned or quit however their reputation is on the line and they are subject to shutting down if they don’t take heed.

I used to go to this location quite a bit when I lived in Bloomington and have visited since. I don’t expect world-class cuisine — it’s an OCB after all! I always enjoy my food and find it to be a great value. You really can’t beat their prices and variety. They also have a Sunday brunch which is decent for the price. Again, don’t expect a 5 star restaurant and you’ll probably do just fine. Great for taking the family to because it won’t break your wallet. Here’s a tip — during the week, go around 3pm at lunch prices and stick around for dinner that starts at 3:30. I used to start with a salad, get whatever I liked in small portions and then get a nice dinner entrée. Weekends have the brunch that ends at 11, so lunch starts — then dinner at 3:30 Sat. Sun — dinner prices start at 11.

Salad bar substandard. Food not fresh and appetizing at 5 pm. Restaurant was dirty and dishes were not cleared during our meal. Save your money… eat at home

First and foremost, this has to be simply the nastiest place to eat in the twin cities. Period. There was garbage ALL over the floor, and food grind-ed into the carpet. Hood-rats with no respect with others around them, had ghetto jams blasting from their cell phones attached to their pants. It took awhile to find a clean table because LITERALLYEVERYTABLE was covered in food, drink glasses, and plates, even though nobody had been sitting in the seats for 20 minutes or so. The tables still hadn’t been cleared even after I was finished eating. I went to grab ice cream from the soft serve machine and the ice cream EXPLODED all over my hand, the floor, and on the machine itself. I didn’t just YANK on the handle, I slowly pulled it down. It even made lots of noise like a machine gun. This not only happened to me, but my friend as well. My friend is scared that he is going to get sick from what he ate. I’ve eaten in PLENTY of places in Mexico, and NOTHING was as nasty as this. Several of the chairs had HUGE rips in them. The majority of the food was under cooked, and tasted just plain NASTY. If you want to be thankful for NOT having to eat this junk or be in a horrible atmosphere, go here and check it out. You will be so much happier with your life outside of OCB.

Well, first of all, my fiancée and I went here on a Friday, and it is now Monday and we are both still sick with horrible stomach aches. Aside from that, It seems as though the new«rebranding» of the restaurant was just a ploy to get people to come and pay an insanely higher price for the EXACTSAME, sub-par food. The pizza was essentially just warm entirely uncooked dough with sauce and cheese, the french fries tasted FOUL. Never had a french fry so bad. Like, rotten, foul, and stale garbage. I mean bad fries at a buffet? Sure. But not actually foul tasting. My fiancées chicken was almost entirely pink on the inside. That is not how chicken is supposed to look. The drinks are now not included with the price, it was an extra $ 5 for two drinks, and the prices(on weekends, when we went) are double what they were before. On weekdays, they’re still more, just not double. I thought«well the new, apparently improved, food must be worth this much for me and my fiancée to eat here». So I spent $ 35.36 on what I thought was going to be an improvement from before. It was literally the exact same thing as it used to be, with maybe a bit less hair in the food. If this cost me what it used to, I wouldn’t even be reviewing right now. I would just be kind of disappointed, but not hungry, and be on my way. You can’t expect a buffet to be all that great, but at the same time, you can’t expect it to cost $ 35.36. My problem is that it was SO sub-par, and for the same price as going to a real restaurant, maybe even more, depending on where you go, the food was terrible. I will be doing whatever I can to get my hard earned money back for this visit. Everyone working there was extremely nice, however. That was about the only good part about it.

Stay away. I’m not sure how the original OCB could have gotten worse, but it did. Not sure what the new guy who took this place over was thinking, but I think he is in over his head. Headed there for breakfast at 10AM on Sunday. There was NOTHING available to eat. No eggs, bacon, hash browns… nothing. I asked one of the ladies by the buffet if they had any more eggs or bacon and she said no. I paid $ 21 for the both of us and had a couple sausage links and a stale cinnamon roll. I wasn’t expecting much since I have eaten at the original, but how do you take a place that was already bad and make it worse. Enter at your own risk.

I had dinner there with friend last night. I was pleasantly surprised by the 180 degree turnaround this restaurant has seen recently. The salad bar was impeccable, fresh items, clean plates. The cashier was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The food was well seasoned, warm and well presented. I enjoyed their clam chowder, some better than average steak, and some nice steamed broccoli that wasn’t mushy. I had dined there about 5 months ago, and had been sorely disappointed then. The restaurant was dirty, cleaning stations were piled high with dirty dishes. The gentleman carving the meat station had a shirt that was filthy. The floor was unkept and soiled by food. This visit was remarkable. Our waiter, Mark, was pleasant, attentive, and kept his station clean and clear. We also spoke to the kitchen manager, another gentleman named Mark, and complimented him on the improvement seen in the food quality, employees and cleanliness. He informed us of a upcoming remodel of this restaurant in mid-February 2014. Overall, I must give kudos to the hard working staff and attentive eyes of the new manager there. For what it’s worth, it’s good to see this niche buffet restaurant make a go of it. It’s nice to deal with smiling employees, and when you’re in the mood for some comfort food, this is the place to go.

If you would like to experience an authentic, american style, sub-par buffet with hundreds of Middle Eastern screaming children running around, sneezing on and digging their hands in the buffet and using the bathroom stall you currently occupy as a hide-and-seek spot while their parents loudly and unknowingly yammer in a cocktail of languages around you, this is your spot. Take note also of the sense of urgency — or lack thereof — of the staff.

I understand that one shouldn’t have high expectations when going to a buffet… the least I would expect when paying dinner prices at 2pm on a sunday would be a clean buffet area and the selections to be available. Neither of which was the case. There was a painfully limited selection and half of the items remained empty for the 40 minutes I was there. Many of the diminished items were non fresh pre packaged items. I would be more understanding if, say for instance, half the staff called in sick for work. That was not the case as there were consistently 5 to 8 workers standing around at any given time. The biggest disappointment as far as buffets are concerned.

I don’t know what these people are talking about, they must have been raised on lunds and high quality everything. For my wife and I, we find this place to be very comfortable. The food taste good, not great but it not disgusting. I can find myself here at least once a month. The staff are nice and polite the waiters do a good job about keeping your table clean. I love their bread sticks, and the steak night.

I KNOWBUFFETS are the last place one should expect to find fine cuisine. I was just hoping for sustinence and a peaceful evening. This review is for my monkey-face who insisted we go there so he could«fill up on carbs and meat». I just want to say, for the record, that I pleaded with him to choose something else, ANYTHINGELSE. It took a 10 minute drive toward home after the experience for him to ask me to NEVERGOTHEREAGAIN, MOM! Tummy ache — and not from eating too much like he hoped… Noooo, this was the dull type of ache that said, «Cheap food accessible to the masses in unmentionable proportions and kept at less-than-ideal temperatures should be avoided at all costs by anyone who has two nickels to rub together.» Additionally, the pure enjoyment some of those patrons seemed to be experiencing in all that weird, tasteless trough-filler was disturbing. Bland, blah, and yet overly salted and sauced all at once :(Blecch!
