Pretty standard as comic book stores go. I don’t make a dedicated drive to Hot Comics but if I’m in the area I’ll swing by to take a look. They used to have harder to find statues which I liked however since the remodeling it seems to have changed to more standard items. They have a good collection of both current and back issues of comic books and if you like collecting old video games they have a very good collection worth picking through. I haven’t found a vintage toy collection larger than theirs in the Cities and I was able to pick up a few Star Wars gems. They’re worth checking out; I only make it here about once every three or four months because I’m not in the area very often.

Spent 30 minutes browsing the selection and ended up buying my monthly issue of The Walking Dead. Amazing series and quite different from the show, give it a try people! the New release section was easy to find and back issue searching was also a breeze. Staff was helpful and actually took a few minutes to call a few other hot comic stores to find some back issues on a different series i wanted to start collecting. thanks for feeding my inner nerd Hot Comic Staff.

I love comic books, and I’m getting back into it after being away for a long time. So the other day I wandered in, hoping to find something interesting(really vague for a comic shop, I know). I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a pretty big store, with comics and graphic novels lining the walls. They have tons of old back issues in boxes, which form a sort of aisle divider through the middle. It’s very well organized, so browsing is easy. They also have quite a few toys in cases and on shopping racks, and more than a few brought back old memories. The only thing is that the employees were pretty wrapped up in their conversation, and I don’t know if they noticed me until I said«hi.» Not that they have to be following me around asking what I want, but even a simple«Hi, there» is better than nothing, which is pretty much what I got. I wandered around for a while and saw they have a special section of new issues that sell for only $ 1, so I grabbed a few and went up to the counter. The guy at the checkout was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely shop here again. The employees are nice enough, but let’s face it, they’re comic geeks. And this place isn’t Wal-Mart(thank God) with a greeter at the door. But I know that if I need recommendations, these are the guys who will gladly help me out.
