This office is a sham! They appear to be friendly and knowledgeable at first, however, their recommendations are textbook rather than tailored to the individual condition/concern. After talking to a few other patients, I was able to discover that their care and mine were exactly the same despite us having extremely different issues! The receptionist would repeatedly schedule me for an appointment and forget to put it in the actual schedule. Several times I would show up for an appointment and the office would be locked/closed. Turns out the doctor either had no clue I was scheduled for an appointment or he had decided to take a sick day, and because I was not on the schedule I was not informed all appointments had been canceled. Another issue of concern was the time allotted for scheduled appointments. Often we would show up for our appointment only to wait half an hour, or be asked to wait on the traction machine. If we have to schedule an appointment during our lunch hour, we cannot expect to return an hour late from lunch because the office staff can’t properly schedule patients. I had to leave and reschedule several times after waiting for nearly an hour sitting in the front office and traction area. The final point I caution potential patients on is in regard to plans, length of treatments, and report of findings. These things were always black box, hush hush, promised and never delivered. To this date I still have never seen a treatment plan. After being reassured that with repeated care my condition could be corrected, I was then told two months later that my condition was now permanent damage and I would have to pay out of pocket expenses if I wanted to continue with Dr. Whitemarsh’s recommended treatments. I was completely disheartened and disillusioned, especially when it was discovered that the reason for this complete switch in the doctor’s findings was resulted from him wanting to lighten his schedule so he could participate in a local musical production. Is it too much to ask that some sensitivity be provided when a practitioner agrees to provide a service? This type of care can greatly affect the quality of a person’s life, not to mention that I am paying to receive a prescribed treatment, then left hanging nervous and wondering what to do next. It’s extremely frustrating to come into what appears to be a professional, friendly environment only to be treated like another money hog pushed up to the Whitemarsh trough.

I have been very pleased with the care I have received at Cornerstone. I can get a massage and an adjustment on the same day, at the same place, and both are excellent. Meg is very intuitive with her massage techniques and Dr. Whitemarsh does a thorough adjustment. I highly recommend both.
