The food is wonderful. I mainly get to go orders because the restaurant is kind of a dive. The staff are always very nice and helpful. They also get your food out to you very fast. If my review was based on food alone they would have a 5 star.

Came from out of town so I ate by myself. I was told to sit anywhere I wanted. There were four tables left, two of which looked like they had someone sitting there at one point but were empty. One of them was one of the workers table that she was making something at but wasn’t there. Looked at the menu and the only options were family style or by the plate. Didn’t really want two full plates but There wasn’t an option for any type of special. Also thought it was weird that a soda was $ 1.25 and refills were $.75. Who charges for refills!!! Then I saw why. It comes in a can… pour it yourself. The food was pretty good and the servers were friendly enough, I guess I just expected something different.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Clean and customer service friendly. Food is delivered expediently. We’ve eaten at many chinese restaurants throughout the U.S. and this is the best all around. The hot & sour soup is great. The spring rolls fresh & crispy. Our 4 favorites: 1) Kung Pao Chicken 2) Mandarin Beef 3) Black Pepper Chicken 4) Sweet & Sour Pork. They will also customize the heat to your taste.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in years! Everything is always fresh and delicious. I wish I could find a Chinese restaurant like this in my town. Every time I visit Tri Cities, this is my favorite place to eat.

Wowza! Mandarin House’s location is absolutely perfect to mine when I am commuting to and from school. Of course, I am commuting during lunch hour, which happens to be a deal that Mandarin House rocks at. You receive a choice between two delicious soups, fried rice or steamed white rice, an egg roll and and entrée. I highly recommend the Mongolian beef. It has a more than adequate amount of zest with a hint of zeal. It complements the rice perfectly. If we are being honest, this meal is one of my favorite comfort foods. The service here is awesome. All of the employees are super friendly and make sure that you feel at home. The price is affordable, and the quantity of food that you will find sitting on your plate it awesome. You will find yourself getting so absorbed in your meal that when you find yourself in the clean platers club you will be wishing for more. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good authentic Chinese food in the area. Oh, and I forgot one more thing, you get a fortune cookie that always brings a smile to your face as you leave and head back to school or work. Eat up friends!

Authentic Family style Chinese Food. The food is incredible. Every dish ! The price is very fair. The staff is very welcoming and responsive. The interior/exterior of the building is run down and closed in, not much natural light coming into the building causing a sort of claustrophobic feeling. Every time I come to Richland for work, I come here for lunch!

Get: Orange Chicken lunch special($ 7) There’s a giant grain of salt that you must procure before heeding any of my Chinese restaurant reviews. And this is due, in part, with the abscence of any truly amazing Chinese restaurants in the greater TC. So a 4 star rating here versus one in downtown San Fran is not exactly a comparison between apples and apples. Preamble established, this place makes me happy. The orange chicken lunch special hits that spot in which you crave to be smacked. It’s simple fried rice, simple hot ‘n sour soup(or eggflower if you’re a savage), and a handsome portion of orange chicken with sticky, tangy, sweet sauce all up in some fried goodness. The staff is generally VERY nice and can do some impressive backhand ringing up at the cashbox in a pinch. Food is out quick and always piping hot. The interior of this joint has some. .. interesting qualities. I always thrill at these buildings despite their rugged and often delapitated nature. I like to cast my mind back as to what it once was and how it got to where it was. I digress. .. the interior and exterior need some work and nothing about the building screams restaurant as you drive past — but it does have character. And cedar shingling on the inside. Nice. Positives: Quick service, solid chinese fare, nice staff Negatives: Not a high-end restaurant, some meager facilities

The best in the Tri-Cities. Not fancy, but fast and fresh. The soft noodles here just amazing and taste like the ones I’ve had in Taiwan. Be sure to ask about seasonal things they may have that are not on the menu. Asparagus season at Mandarin house is truly a joy. Avoid typical«Americanised» dishes unless you like run of the mill. Great vegetarian offerings here — just let them know and they are very accommodating!

I went here based off other Unilocal reviews and I was very disappointed. I got a carry out order of the Almond Chicken. The chicken was greasy fried and the sour was less than appealing looking and taste. Yes it is cheap, but would not recommend.

I love the food here. Yes it is not gourmet Chinese food but this is the Tricities. They have the best Mongolian beef in town. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Quick friendly service. They also have excellent hot and sour soup.

Best dining experience ever! Comfortable, informal atmosphere, very friendly and courteous staff, excellent food and very cost comparative to any other eating establishment(8.e. Tony Romas, monterrosos, etc.). Highly recommend this place if you like quality chinese dining.

Perfect place for lunch, or take out. Our last visit was a lunch visit; me, my wife, and our two girls. Their lunch price is great and the portion size is enough that we could split a plate between the little ones, allowing us all to eat for less than $ 25. Their mongolian beef is definitely a highlight and my go to, and the sweet and sour chicken is delicious. The lunch special comes with white or fried rice, an egg roll, and egg drop soup; all of which are great on their own. The staff is super quick and quite friendly. This is a place we’ll continue to visit for years to come.

Great place to grab fresh made Chinese food. I had the Happy Family and my friend had the Mongolian Beef! Birth were delicious. The server was attentive and the meal was to the table streaming hot just minutes after ordering!

Just ate dinner here and had a wonderful time! The service was excellent. Probably the best service I’ve had in the city. The food was good, but the service made it great. I usually don’t like orange chicken but their orange chicken is simply fantastic. Next time I’ll try the Mongolian Beef as I’m told that is their best dish. Finally decent chinese food in richland. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I ordered take out from here last night. At first I was a bit nervous about eating here… the outside of the building looked a little dicey. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and offered a table and water while we waited. Very nice hostess and waitresses! The menu was huge and everything sounded tasty, so I needed help on deciding what to order. The waitress recommended the special for the day which was asparagus and your choice of meat… I chose to order that with chicken. It was amazing(and HUGE portions)! My husband order sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice. The S&S sauce was super flavorful and had large chunks of fresh veggies in it. The fried rice was great… and we were amazed at the large chucks of chicken that were in it AND the fact that you got to choose which kind of meat you wanted in your fried rice. We also order BBQ pork. It was tender and also flavorful. The prices were very reasonable and well worth what we paid for and the service was super fast. All around, the Mandarin House was a great experience! We will definitely be coming back!!!
