OH. MY. GOD. WHYDO I KEEPSHOPPINGHERE??? Negative 10 stars for this establishment!!! I usually order online and have no issues, but recently, I had to return a really cute shirt that was defective. I literally put it on, wore it for 20 minutes on my commute to work, sat at my desk and found a flaw near the neckline of the shirt where the raw edge of the chiffon had not been stitched far enough in. Of course, I was stuck wearing it the whole day as I was at work. When I got home, I hand washed it, since I didn’t want to return a stinky shirt. When I returned the shirt on Wednesday, 10/23, the associate, Montanna, offered to special order one for me, since they didn’t have one my size in the store. Since I loved the shirt, I obliged even though I thought it was poor service to charge me a $ 6.95 «special order fee» for a shirt that I only had to «special order» because the first one was defective. I received a voicemail today, Monday, 10⁄28 that my special order was ready to be picked up. I felt this was peculiar because it had only been two business days and Maurices’ ground shipping always takes a week or more to arrive at my house, not to mention that on my special order receipt, the projected pickup date is 11⁄6. Nonetheless, I was excited to pick up my shirt. I got to the store, picked up the shirt, got in my car and decided to look it over to make sure it didn’t have any problems. Much to my disgust, it had the SAME flaw in the SAME place, had no tag, and smelled like my laundry detergent. What are the odds, huh? Needless to say, I went back in the store and pointed out that it had the same flaw in the same place, implying that it was the same shirt. The clerk assured me(translation: lied to my face) that she«took it out of the box this morning.» Sure ya did. When I returned it, I asked if I could get my $ 6.95 «special order fee» back. The associate asked another associate, who told her that they couldn’t do it because the money went to UPS. Yeah, sure. The shirt never left the freaking store. Here’s what I assume: When the original defective shirt was returned, it showed up in the inventory as being available for special order. So when the special order was placed, I ordered the SAME defective shirt I just returned. Not only that, but I paid a $ 6.95 special order fee for the same damn shirt when it didn’t even get shipped through UPS. I have filed a corporate complaint, so hopefully they will resolve it. My advice to you is to avoid this store like the plague. Other Maurices stores have been fine, but this one in particular is DISHONEST and INCOMPETENT. UPDATE10/30/2013: Corporate has replied to my complaint with an apology and a refund of the«special order fee.» It’s a relief that Maurice’s Corporate has decent customer service.

I went in there today and immediately even thought they were busy someone said HELLO how may I help you and today which is rather unusualy I did need actual help! but the manager was so friendly :) plus I just love maurices :) i have been getting clothes there since i was a little kid :)
