So delicious, food was fresh and authentic! We had Pad Thai and a rice noodle soup. Owner was so sweet! I love supporting local businesses and this one is fabulous!

The service was horrible. We came in the restaurant at 5 pm and were the second group in. We ordered and after 1 hour walked out. We tried to get the servers attention, but he was too busy on the phone. I will never come back. We were told to service was terrible, but decided to try them out anyway. Our friends were right. Stay away.

Firstly the peanut sauce and food is amazing. I love this place. The food arrived to the table flavorful, hot, and nicely presented. This place is truly a gem and I’m not sure why more people don’t go here. I usually order the fresh spring rolls, curry chicken, and chicken kabob. It is my favorite restaurant in Tricities.

Overpriced, Stingy Portions, Poor Quality ANDSLOW We had a nearly $ 60 lunch, for two today that was disappointing on all levels! When we arrived at 11:45 there was one other occupied table with a pair of diners. We were hungry and ordered the $ 19 Appetizer Combination Plate, the Pad Thai with Shrimp and Chicken and a Spicy Beef vegetable stir fry with rice. I would love nothing more than to be able to recommend any bite of anything! Before describing our actual meal, I will very briefly touch on the service. The waitress was pleasant. And apparently multi talented, while we waited nearly an hour for our meal she cooked and delivered a delicious looking, generously portioned meal to a couple of young children that I’m guessing were her own! The spring rolls were greasy and on the edge of burnt. And sadly they were the best thing on the plate! Even the sauces were disappointing! The peanut sauce was separated and again greasy. The chicken sate consisted of the three smallest pieces of chicken I’ve ever been served. Overcooked dumplings and the tips of chicken wings with a bit of meat were deep fried and arranged artistically. The Pad Thai was gummy and lacked any distinctive flavors. A few pieces of overcooked chicken and three medium shrimp completed this dish. The sauce on the Beef dish was tasty and apparently applied with a teaspoon! Even the rice was overcooked! My only regret is that my son would not let me complain! I’m not sure it would have made a difference, but it would have helped me feel better about leaving such a horrible review! As I said we arrived at 11:45 and as we left at 1:10(after going to the desk and asking for our bill) I was tempted to tell the only other customers who entered this establishment while we were there to flee before they even got water. Maybe they were ordering dinner.

It’s simple if you don’t mind a long wait, the food is very delicious! Literally everything that my table ordered was wonderful, something that you don’t find very often in this area. But I must emphasize the long wait. We waited about 70 minutes for our food and I ordered a drink that I never received. The staff was very friendly and like-able but I don’t understand why they just don’t hire more people, that seems to be the only issue here. You can tell the staff is trying their best but it’s stressful and the service suffers because of it.

All fresh veggies in their dishes and made at the time you order it. They excel in their curries. All the food I believe is gluten free. The buffet has steak chicken pork and vegan options all gluten free and tasty! Fresh fruit fresh cucumber salad! Also Cakes cookies sugar puffs If you do not see something you like on the menu the owner personally will make any Thai dish you request. Very beautiful inside but has a warm inviting. I also like that they have a water craft at the table. I have also enjoyed their live music on Saturday nights. They have a mango martini that is delicious.

We arrived after 6pm and there was only one table being served. We sat in a cozy and very dark area in the back. If my wife and I were on a date by ourselves, I definitely would have tried to get frisky with her back there or at least take off my pants to be comfortable. We waited a long time to get our order in and of the 3 items we ordered, we started receiving piecemeal at around minute 45 and ending around minute 55. As the initial food was delivered the waitress asked if we wanted it all at once and started to take the food back. I was like, «OHGODNO! I’M ABOUTTOEATMY5MONTHOLDKID!!!» It was a survival situation after all. The soup we got was pretty tasty. We also got a plate of grilled chicken, beef and shrimp and a plate of duck. The grilled chicken was good but there were only three tiny skewers. We received a singled skewer with three shrimp which were tasty but super tiny and some sliced up steak that was full of grizzle. The duck we received was super tasty but full of bone shards like someone had taken it out back and beat it in a way that would have made Rocky proud. After approximately forever, we were able to get the check and leave. The servers were nice and the food was tasty. Everything else was pretty miserable. If you’re going to order from this place, I’d advise take out.

First, I have no idea how Mezzo Thai has the ratings it does. Allow me to provide some context… I arrived early in the evening and it wasn’t very busy. The one server in evidence not only had everything in hand, but was friendly and gracious. The décor was clean and modern without seeming overwrought or pretentious. There was even an authentic, raised, floor-style seating area allowing guests to partake of a more traditional seating option without having to feel that they are staring up at the underside of the other diners’ tables. I asked for a recommendation for everything from my sake to my meal. I had the Momokawa Diamond(cold sake) and it was cloudy, well balanced and delicious. While some of their other options were unavailable, the owner offered excellent advice and was genuinely concerned with the mistake in communication that lead to the reduced selection. On the advice of the solo server who was capable, brisk when necessary, but never harried, I had the Padh Thai with chicken and prawns. I explained the fact that heavy spice heat punishes me twice and he offered a dish with no applied spice but included a modest pile of dry spice as a side to be added to taste. He pointed out the preparation and suggested that I avoid the spice if I was extremely sensitive. While I’m a self-described«heat wuss», the light dusting I was able to self-administer was clean, bright and crisp. The Padh Thai was sweet without being cloying and highlighted the flavors of each ingredient. Even the salad was delicious as a result of the addition of a touch of toasted sesame seeds which brought some character to the mundane affair that many complimentary side salads trend toward. It may seem unimportant but the chopsticks were real, not the splintered crap most restaurants offer in the ever-tantalizing paper wrapper. I ordered a sticky rice dessert which was a bit delayed, but since the server set the expectation that it was being cooked fresh but was behind some fresh duck which might take a bit, I had the option to wait or pass. It was worth the wait and the visit. To the haters: Enjoy your overpriced Anthony’s franchises(which have somehow never managed to match their counterpart’s Seattle airport variant… an embarrassing distinction if you ask me) and whatever all-you-can-eat Asian dy-nasty cuisine you shovel into your gobs with equal amounts of soy sauce and MSG. This place serves great food in a comfortable and welcoming environment at a reasonable price. Frankly, Mezzo is a hidden gem in the Tri-Cities and I’ll return to be sure! I’d rather engage in a friendly chat with a restaurant’s owner than be ignored by overly-quaffed servers and a suited Manager who doesn’t understand that if you nail the food and handle the service, you’re doing it right. Pretention and panache aren’t worth a 300% mark up, but a yummy dinner in a clean, welcoming environment will get my repeat business and my kudos every time! Mezzo Thai FTW!
