Took my daughter in for her first haircut in 5 years. Joe did a great job! My daughter loves her new hair. Price was comparable to a chain place, but we now have a salon we can go to and know who will be cutting her hair every time. Very happy!

Feeling very fortunate to have found this salon after relocating. So nice to feel secure in leaving your hair in the hands of such a professional with an amazing talent as Joe. I am impressed with all the employee’s professionalism as well as their team work. Many services are available which is nice. The salon is very clean and up to date. The prices are competitive. I also appreciate the promptness of appointments. They go out of their way to make you feel special!

I’ve been going to Joe for over two years. He helped me grow out a pixie cut, which is no easy task. Recently we have started to explore fashion colors. I leave happy every time! He always asks for my vision and then adds his expertise and artistic ability and I leave the salon with a fresh look. People compliment my hair everywhere I go and I’m constantly asked for Joe’s contact information. If you are lucky enough to sit in his chair, you will leave feeling light on your feet and ready to take in the world. Bonus: Joe has eyebrow skills to the max! Are you looking for eyebrows on fleek? Joe is the one to deliver!

After having a rough experience at a salon in the tricities I’ve avoided getting my hair cut… for 3 years. Needless to say, it was time for more than a trim. Making the appointment was very easy, the gal on the phone was very friendly, and I was in a chair exactly at my appointment time. Phil did a wonderful job, my hair looks awesome, and everybody else there was super friendly as well. The whole experience was the polar opposite of the previous salon I tried 3 years ago and led me to question why I waited so long… I would highly recommend giving Serendipity a try!

My husband and I have been clients of Ashley’s since she was working at a chain salon. We gladly followed her when she went out on her own. I’ve never had a bad cut from Ashley. In fact, her work is so good that it continues to look good as it grows out. She does over-style my hair, but we both know that as soon as I walk out of the salon it goes right back into a high pony tail.(I’m one of those people to whom«styling» means I combed my hair.” I rarely put any product in my hair.) Clearly, not everyone feels the same way as I do. But given that Ashley is frequently booked up weeks in advance, I’m guessing she has plenty of faithful clients. Please note: there are currently two Ashleys at this salon. My review is related to Ashley Bobier. I’ve never received service from the other Ashley.

Hair Trials and Tribulations in the Tri-Cities: Episode II Was feeling shaggy and unkempt and decided to get my hair cut. I stopped in here as a walk-in and Ashley was nice enough to get me in her chair pretty quickly. We talked about what I wanted, and what went wrong at the last salon. I explained that I have a history of mohawks and faux-hawks and a shaved head and dreadlocks and that I’m growing out my pixie cut but would like to keep it looking«funky and fun»(my exact words). I also explained that I was really trying to avoid a soccer mom hair cut, as I’m still in my 20’s and not ready to drive a minivan quite yet. We joke, we laugh, it’s fine. She gets started. Now, maybe I should have stopped her at some point, but she just kept piling on hair product, long after I thought she must certainly be done by now. We’re talking mousse, followed by hair clay, followed by some sort of putty or pomade, followed by a texturizer, and then hair spray too. For reference, my hair is not even nose length and there is no reason a decent haircut should require that much product, regardless of length. At the very least, she could have asked me how I felt about using product– she’d have learned quickly that I keep it pretty minimal. My head reeked of product, to the point that I decided to skip the rest of my errands and go home and wash my hair because my head smelled so awful. I walked in the door and my boyfriend immediately started giggling. «You look so… mom-ly.» My friend chimes in: «You look like Justin Bieber. It’s like Justin Bieber’s mom!»(Again, direct quotes.) Now, the haircut is… eh. It’s not great. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. With short hair, the difference between a bad haircut and a reasonable hair style is a couple weeks and a hat. That said, between this and my experience at Z-Place, I find myself questioning whether I can get a decent haircut in the area.

Just moved to the tri-cities and was stressed about finding a new salon. I went to trusted Unilocal and found serendipity. Although it only had one review from a customer, it was close so I decided to give it a try. I called on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to be fit in the next day with Joe. When I arrived, Joe was ready to go and seated me quickly. I appreciated that he took his time to examine the coloring that was already in my hair. He was very calm and explained things clearly. I felt very comfortable putting my hair in his hands and am happy with the outcome. Thankful to have found my new hair stylist in the tri-cities!

I’ve been going to Joe for years and this place is wonderful. It has a relaxing environment and when you are done, there is shopping all around you. Love this place :)
