I’ve worked with TB over the years and they always impress me with their ability to come through with whatever I need. Our church was recently finishing a sound remodel and we had a few«smaller» items that we needed to complete the set up. I emailed Bill with our list and with in an hour he replied and let me know that they had everything we needed. They pulled all the items and set them aside for us and we’re happy to help when I had to change/add a few things. I’ve worked with their guitar and drum techs in the past and have always been impressed with their willingness to answer questions and provide great customer service. I live in Walla Walla and will gladly drive the hour to work with Ted Brown over our local store. Better selection, better service.

Customer service was friendly and they helped me quickly. Jeremy got straight to the problem and helped me trouble shoot. Everyone there was so helpful, and they eased my fears. I’m definitely going back!

Oh the hours I have spent with Ted Brown. Going back to my first years playing guitar, these guys and Music Machine have been my go to for strings, song books, and tips from fellow guitar pickers. The service is always helpful but not pushy, and if they don’t know they will find out. Great selection no matter what style of guitar you play. If you don’t play guitar, they have about a billion other instruments you can take a whack at. I even saw a couple really nice Celtic style harps here. If it is music you need, come see Ted Brown.

Thoroughly unimpressed. I came in to get my mandolin re-stringed and have the bridge adjusted if it needed it. I was told it would be done by the end of the day, but got a call about an hour later telling me it would need to go to the repair shop for the bridge and that it would take about a week. Now, I’ll readily admit that I’m a total newb when it comes to the mandolin, but I known enough to say that the small amount of buzzing that I was experiencing is easily fixed by adjusting the bridge, which doesn’t take a week. Something tells me that they didn’t even attempt anything and just dumped it onto the repair shop. Anyhow, I told them to just put the strings on and they said that it should be done by the end of the day. They were not done by the end of the day. So I called the next day to check on how it was progressing and the lady told me that they guy had 50 guitars he had to get to first and that they would«call me when it was done». That would have been fine if the lady would have told me that when I dropped it off, but there’s no excuse to tell me one thing one day, and something completely different the next without so much as a phone call. So I picked it up and took it to Music Machine, where they changed the strings out in 15 minutes on sight and for less money. Big difference. I just found the whole experience irksome. On the flip side, they do have a very nice selection of instruments. It’s mostly guitars, but they’ve got some other good stuff too, including books and accessories. Not much in the mandolin department, but that’s to be expected. I think that this is a good accessory and guitar store, but not much else as you can find better service elsewhere.

I feel like most of the staff here are helpful and friendly. They have a decent selection of music equipment new and used. I haven’t felt rushed by sales people trying to sell me stuff, but am always approached by someone asking if I need any assistance. I did watch a customer narrate /mime the Stairway to Heaven scene from the movie Wayne’s World to the amusement of his friends. I think it’s both cliché and compulsory. All in all it’s a good store and I’ll keep going back for my gear.

This place should be a four or five star place but for inconsistent staff sometimes leaving a foul taste in my mouth upon visiting. This is a top notch music store for the Tri-Cities by all accounts(doesn’t compare to guitar shops in Portland and such — but it is apples and oranges due to population). I’ve had very knowledgeable staff show me what I wanted to see and answer the questions I had, and I’ve had a couple of the staff seemingly talk down to me or show off their instrument skills while I just wanted information Great, now I have to listen to you shred because I wanted to know what the difference was between two loop pedals. Awesome. Viva la cliché’.
