I really should give only one star. But their was a great voew of the river. While the salad was nice i really did not want 3. And my mother in law’s order came out incorrect. With NO acomidations made for the many mistakes our waiter made he also took our 69.00 check and came back with a charged check of 113.00. Again no apologys. This was her last night in tricities for visiting her son. Dont fly out from socali for this crappy service

Excellent location on the river. The Cod special is fantastic. I especially love that the take home containers are not styrofoam! I always return to restaurants that care for the environment.

Prompt friendly service, good beer, and amazing ahi. We sat outside in the sun, watched boats on the river and the wait staff took care of all our needs with a smile. The inside was clean and had a nice Irish pub feel. Shuffle board is a plus too!

Never again! We were starving, sat on the patio. pretty nice. Inside was dingy, dark, not welcoming. Server was«off.» Did not smile, seemed annoyed at us the whole time there. Took forever to give us menus. Forgot to give us silverware and served our food. We had to wait for her to come back to get utensils and she was unapologetic, it was so odd! Burger was good though. Not good enough to ever come back though. Oh well.

Wonderful, friendly staff. The pasties with Guinness Dubliner sauce and risotto was heavenly! My only complaint was that they didn’t have Harp’s on tap. Otherwise, Totally delicious food and beer.

Great place and great atmosphere! Waitress and bartender we very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was great. My wife loved the Ruben Sandwich and the Shepard’s Pie was amazing. Overall a very nice evening and we will most likely come back again!

One of my favorite places, drink the old fashions and eat the Chicken Marsala.

If you want a relaxed setting, casual dining, great food, great drinks and reasonable, this is a good place to go. A variety of beer on tap and great drinks. The only issue is the small parking lot.

Overall, skip this place. It’s over priced, mediocre to bad food, and service blows. The view is nice. Service was incredibly slow. There were 4 tables full, so it wasn’t terribly busy. Can’t blame poor service on that. We were seated at 8:07pm. I got my salad at 8:52pm. Main dishes came 10 minutes after that. Refills of water were non existant. Had to ask for water, even then the waitress forgot. Food was over priced and not good. Shepherds pie was a joke. Boxed mashed potatoes, ground beef and sad looking diced peas and carrots. It wasn’t actually in a pie crust. It was served in a skillet. A thin layer of the meat mix and mostly mashed potatoes. Friends had burgers and fries. They weren’t anything special but they were acceptable. 16.50 for a burger is a bit steep though. Drinks were ok. Well whiskey was good. They have some decent cocktails. They make them strong. The view is the nicest thing about the place.

This place had okay food, nothing to rave about, but edible. What I really had a problem with was the service. It was incredibly slow, which was particularly bad since we were one of three small groups in the restaurant. The waitress spent far more time having loud personal conversations with the other staff than she did serving us our food. She also made drinks for herself and the other waitress while we were waiting endlessly for our food(which had been sitting in the back while she chatted with EVERYONE). The bartender was also sitting and chatting with a few regulars rather than doing his job, perhaps if he would have been pouring the drinks out waitress could have been more attentive. We then waited again for our check, even after the waitress acknowledged that she was bringing it. We eventually had to leave our table and approach the bar to get the check. Bottom line? The food was subpar and what should have been a quick lunch turned into a nearly two hour ordeal because the staff couldn’t stop talking and messing around long enough to do their jobs.

Came here while traveling for business and loved it. Friendly crowd, not crowded, and the bar tender was great. Attentive but not annoying. Food was very good bar food. Tasty and well prepared. Beer choices were ample and the bar tender made a good suggestion. The bar itself is very nice with a beautiful view of the Columbia river. Really liked it here.

First time ever coming here and will not try it again. I came with 5 other people(total of 6) It was a pretty busy place however they only had 1 waitress and 1 bartender. That is pretty poor planning for being a Saturday night. Then they had a band who was awful, he had a high pitch voice it hurt my ears. After we sat down it took about 15 min to order our drinks and then another 10 min to get them. Everyone received their drink but me. A friend went to check on my drink and that is when they told him about running out of vodka. They ran out of Vodka!!! Who runs out of vodka on a Saturday night. And instead of telling me or asking me if I wanted a different drink they just told me that my drink was coming. I finally received my drink(after everyone in my group had finished their drink) apparently they had some stashed somewhere. We were planning on eating however they never took our order. Once I finished my drink left after that.

My husband and I went to McDougall’s to watch the WSU basketball game, and were referred there by Kimo’s next door, since they did not carry the station. Nice to see local businesses supporting each other! Service was swift and VERY courteous. The place was pretty empty, save for a few gentleman watching the NFL game. Food was tasty and satisfying – nothing too unique, but good. We had a half order of nachos and shared a full Tri-City Chop salad – perfect amount of food for the two of us. After NFL ended, they offered to turn the main sound of for the last couple minutes of our game, which was very kind. We enjoyed the wood accents, and the ambiance was very comfortable. We will DEFINITELY return! Even received a wave from the cook on our way out the door! Top-notch service. I am curious to see in the future how the atmosphere changes when they are busy.

Don’t know what all the complaints are about. 4 of us had dinner and drinks outside in the patio. Kelli was our waitress and truly did an outstanding job– courteous, professional and appropriately friendly but not overly so. Also quite informative. Good selection of beer and great selection of Irish whiskey. I had the appys of pan fried oysters and the truffle fries. Quite tasty. While I make a very good shepherds pie, their’s was quite tasty. Fish and chips were enjoyed as was the spinach salad. While maybe none of this was best in show, everything was damn tasty nonetheless. And the aforementioned Kelli was great. She could be our waitress any time. I would recommend this place without reservation.

Been here multiple times so I have plenty to draw upon. Beer is cold. However beer is cheaper, better and just as cold next doors at Kimos during happy hour. One star. Atmosphere ok. Star two Place reasonably clean but showing its age. Third star. Food consistently above average and fresh but nothing to rave about. Fourth and Fifth stars. Service consistently slower than it should be regardless of how busy they are. Servers are friendly and engaging but forgetful and inefficient at times. Minus two stars.

Must update from last review. Place used to be amazing. Its horrible now. By horrible I mean they completely changed the menu and serve crap food now that cost’s a fortune. The service is horrid, and while the beer is still good, dont expect to get out of there under $ 80 and without food poisoning. Gave it chance after chance because it used to be so good. I will never go again.

After having a VERY bad experience at this establishment last year, I swore I’d never give them a second chance, but my friend really wanted to go there tonight and enticed me with their new Irish menu items. I regret giving them a second opportunity to waste my money and time. One of the people at my table ordered a drink that never did come. Quite some time after taking our order, the waitress returned to tell us they were out of soda bread, and knowing how disappointed we were about that, she offered to bring us fries instead. The Shepard’s pie wasn’t a very good dish by any measure(the gravy tasted like it was from a can and the mashed potatoes like they were from a box of flakes), but made far worse by the fact the carrots were severely undercooked. There was also hardly any meat in it. I barely touched the dish and didn’t bother to take the leftovers home with me. Very disappointing waste of $ 12. We decided to try to make the most of things and ordered the caramel apple pie, which turned out to be a cold and unremarkable pie that is probably made by Sara Lee and came from the freezer aisle of the local grocery store. As if all of this wasn’t bad enough, our separate bills came and I got charged for the fries(which we all assumed the waitress had offered us for free, but why was *I* charged for fries we all ate? Shouldn’t she have asked whose bill to put them on, if at all?) Still, I decided not to punish the waitress with an extremely poor tip. I recognized that she wasn’t at fault for the terrible food(though I do think she should have at least asked who would be paying for the fries or just given them to us free of charge). However, it didn’t dawn on me until I was on my way home that she’d shorted my change. My bill was $ 34.60 and I gave her $ 40, but all she brought back was $ 4.25, all of which I left at the table for a modest tip, but in reality her tip was $ 5.40. I realize it’s not a lot of money; it’s the principle of the matter that bothers me, especially when taking into account all of the other issues leading up to this. On the bright side, at least this time I didn’t have to sit for nearly two hours waiting for refills that never happen, have to hunt down a manager to get a bill after waiting for 45 minutes after the meal for the waitress to show up again, and then listen to the manager yell obscenities at the staff heard throughout the restaurant.

When Kimo’s was closed for a private Christmas party my boyfriend and I decided to try the place next door, McDougall’s. Upon entering we were notified most tables were reserved for a later performance, but we thankfully found one available. I ordered the fish and chips and my boyfriend got the nachos. The fish and chips was poorly done. It tasted like the fish had been sitting for a while– instead of being crispy and warm, it was soggy, oily, and room temp. Clearly it had been sitting for a while. My boyfriend’s nachos were nothing special– non– authentic, packet-seasoned taco meat, frozen guacamole and sour cream(yes it was actually frozen on his plate), you get the picture. They did have a good drink selection and I think if I go there again it would be strictly for the bar. Lots of beer, wine, and whiskey choices.

Great new menu, re-imagined décor hearkens back to the 1979 roots as Irish Bar & Grill, expanded list of whiskeys, game machines in the back hall — no pinball though :’(, satellite TV sports and Sirius music, coffin box with more taps, Guinness draft is back, Manny’s and Mac & Jack’s and more on tap, more selections of bottled beer, Happy Hour 4 – 6, Buck Beer in a Bag… and same great vistas!!!
