I avoid this place like the plague. The people who work here are very rude… and I’ve been here for 10 years and nothing has changed. The coffee machine is almost always out of order, of course they hardly ever refill it. I recommend going to another location, I promise it will be worth going out of your way.

Absolutely terrible management. No idea how business works. It sucks that the staff is so nice and I hope they move up but the manager does nothing to help people. I’ve broken things on the way because of the awful plastic bags and have had no retribution despite pictures. Am about to seek legal counsel on these awful people.

Very convenient location especially for locals and VCU students. This one is pretty clean. They seem to always have stuff in stock guessing because students always need to go to the store last minute for something. It can get pretty busy at times and the are good at getting people through the line quickly

This location is OK in my book. The employees are friendly, and they can really move a line at peak times. The store itself feels kind of dingy. College students may like it, because the owner pays attention to them, and stocks things they may want like beer pong balls. Watch out for the homeless people that loiter out front. Some of them tend to be very aggressive, like geese that are used to being fed at a park.

Easily missed it sits on the corner with a pretty small sign on 1 side and a shared staircase. It’s also near the CVS which might suit your needs better. It’s about half the size of most 7 – 11’s, but something that gives it most if not all of it’s stars is the friendly staff. I’m talking«hello, how are you doing sir?» «is there anything else I can do for you today, sir?» «I look forward to seeing you soon», but with that forced aire of pseudo salutation and someone else’s taught customer service style. This is genuine conversation. That southern drawl. Prices are decent and they have a good selection of travel sized toiletries. I was really hoping to find some regional delicacies like ruffles, pringles, Dorito’s, but nothing I can’t find back in Socal. I went here once before I saw the CVS and the 2nd time to buy a homeless man some breakfast(most places are closed Sundays). The same water I drank in my hotel which was %5.99 for a liter and a half was $ 2 here. Stock up if your going to be lodging here for more than a day to two. Eve though I don’t smoke cigarettes anymore the prices were higher than expected for Marlboro considering Phillip Morris’ training and development center is so close by.

Clean overall — compared to other locations in the RVA area. The staff that work there have always been nice everytime i have visited and they have a great selection of goodies to snag up for a quick snack. Since I have moved downtown, as I have walked by this place quite often, I always stop in for a quick snack or drink whenever I can.

One of the few 7 – 11’s in the downtown area. I go here whenever I visit my friends who live above this place. It’s nice that it’s open 24⁄7 for that slurpee or taquito craving. The place is still pretty new and it looks like the people running it try to keep it that way. It’s a bit hidden since it’s below an apartment complex, but again this place is open way more than the CVS next door. I wish I had a nifty convenience store below where I lived!

7 – 11 is as much a part of Richmond as anything else and, in a way, defines Richmond to many folks who have lived here. There used to be one on every corner and it seems like the ones left are here to stay for a while. One can see the original footprints of closed stores all over the city but the ones that remain offer a quick and convenient place to grab the world famous Slurpee(coke of course). While WaWa and Sheetz have definitely stepped on those 7 – 11 feet, they will have a hard time taking over the real estate that has always been the mainstay of this local favorite… downtown corners. I will freely admit to enjoying a hot dog(mystery meat), Nachos(chips with a cheese-like substance) and even a random tuna sandwich with some Cool Ranch Doritos after a booze fueled evening. I can safely say that this behavior is now safely in the past. I now go for a Slurpee, COLD beer, or a huge soft drink or a little chocolate fix. The fact that they are so conveniently located for those of us living in the city, it is easy to pop in as there is almost always parking right out front. Get at ‘em!

I really missed 7-Eleven’s when I lived in Florida. You know exactly when they’re open, what kind of merchandise they carry, and they stock Haagen-Dazs ice cream which is a huge plus in my book. I grew up on Mason’s Neck, and for the first 15 years of my life, the only store within 10 miles was a little wooden house called Shepherd’s Store. They had one of those old coke coolers, penny candy, and that old-timey general store vibe. I can still remember the excitement when a brand new 7-Eleven opened, especially since our local place closed really early in the evening so if you wanted anything after 7 pm, you were out of luck. Unlike other convenience stores, I can stop here and pick up a Duraflame fire log, a bottle of wine, some ice cream and dogfood. Plus, they’re always good about keeping the shelves stocked. Nothing against WaWa, but it’s nice to see a familiar place that you’ve grown up with…
