Car Pool Car Wash

Great job! I just got the exterior wash but my truck looks great. They seemed pretty busy but I still got through in about 15 minutes.

I really wish i could give this place a 5 star but i cannot. The guys were really nice and let me get my car washed 3 mins before closing. I guess the people that do the vacuum were finished because they really did a poor job. The guy convinced me to get the $ 35ish package and made me feel good about choosing the place, that is until I went inside the building. I told the guys to throw anything away that was on the floor however that didn’t register because i still had small pieces of paper on the floor. The workers demeanors were very pleasant however the young lady at the register needs to get an attitude adjustment or not work with people at all. She was just nasty and grumpy. I understand people are entitled to bad days however homegirl said to me «there is nothing to be that happy about», when referring to me trying to encourage her to smile about her night being almost over. The tension in the lobby was so thick i almost choked. She was definitely a Debbie Downer. I will not be returning.

Why the poor reviews? I’ve been coming here since I moved to Richmond in 2013. Have been multiple times, and they have it down pat. Always leave within thirty minutes, wait in the comfy, clean lounge, always treated nicely, and with respect. Don’t forget to bring cash for the top box. Cars always in great shape for competitive pricing.

I think all the car pool locations are bad, I have tried both broad locations and they do very poor job, and if you ask for manager who is never available then you will get his number but he would never call you, after number of bad visits to car pool I tried CONCOURSE DETAILING and trust me they are 1000 times better.

Brought my car here based on a recommendation from a good friend. Carpool is supposed to be pet friendly. Showed them that my dog had gotten sick in the car. Instead of being helpful they rejected a paying customer… Something about dog sick being a biohazard. Royal Bologna. I’d give half a star if I could.

CEO of the company contacted me directly and went above and beyond to make amends for my experience. Perhaps it was an off day at this location… I’ll try this location again and see if I have a better experience. As far as Carpool in general, I have been a customer for almost 10 years and have used all of their Henrico locations with much better results. In the rare occasion something is not right, management has always addressed/​corrected on the spot and that’s what Mr. Carr did for me this morning.

First it’s always good to know people care a great deal about their business. You’ve been to places where you feel genuinely wanted and places that it seems if you don’t come back… no big deal. These people want their business to be special. When the employees take on that desire… you have a winner! That is the mission of this business! A very clean sparkling car. and happy customer.

Destroyed the paint on the hood of my car by spraying something on it that they should not have. Denied it when confronted, yet i saw them doing it. Will never come back.

I took my boyfriend’s (second hand, 10 year old) beamer here to get it done for his birthday. The car wasn’t clean, but it wasn’t a total wreck or anything. I figured the cost would probably top out at 100 $. How much can a detailing possibly be, right?

Last month I brought my car here for the very first time on the recommendation of my co-​worker. I started off with an exterior only wash and for $ 14 I was pretty happy. The lobby is clean and the entire process is very orderly. I was surprised to see a $ 5 off coupon on my receipt inviting me to come back within 30 days and as luck would have it TODAY was my last day to use it.
I realized this kinda late in the day, so I rushed over to get another exterior wash before they closed. Everything was going fine until I went to pay and I was told that even though my receipt said «…receive $ 5.00 off ANY wash package» that did not include the Ultimate package I purchased. The only explanation the cashier could give me was that I chose an exterior only wash and since they were so cheap already there couldn’t be an addition discount.
I don’t understand…

I used to take my Explorer to various Car Pools around Richmond until I came to this one. I always paid for the most expensive package so I could get the inside, outside, underneath, all the cracks, etc… immaculate. Unfortunately you end up dropping about $ 80 then they expect a tip on top of that. On my last paid visit here they did such a horrible job, even while I was pointing out mistakes, that I had the manager come out and see for himself. He gave me a full refund plus a free equal package to keep me coming back. That made me happy so I gave it another shot a couple months later and exactly the same thing happened. Luckily I wasn’t paying that time but he still gave me ANOTHER free pass because they were doing such a poor job. That free pass ended up being a makeshift key to break into my house one night when I was locked out.
My advice is buy all the stuff you need to clean the car yourself. It will take longer and might be more expensive in the short term, but long term you will be happier.
