Carroll’s Auto Service really came through for me. A friend who lives across the country needed their car towed home from a repair shop who was being unhelpful and difficult. I Unilocaled tow outfits near them, came up with Carroll’s and called in and set it up. The price was great and their service, communication and friendliness was incredible.

My car overheated while driving through Richmond. It was a very busy Friday evening but they towed the car in, dropped me at a local hotel and gave me some restaurant recommendations. Looked at the car first thing Saturday morning and had me on the road before noon. Can’t thank the owner or his tow truck driver enough to for going over and above to help me out all while keeping the cost down.

I had previously gone to another auto repair shop that I really loved, but we moved, so I thought I’d try to find another place. I went to Carroll’s based purely on reviews and wasn’t disappointed. They were able to fit me in within a couple days, Graham called to let me know what was going on with my car and the cost of those issues, and they were able to finish up by the end of the day. I was most impressed with Graham explaining what was going on with the idler pulley and serpentine belt and front brake caliper in fairly understandable language ;)

For the past 3 years, these guys have done everything from state inspections to repairing my engine. I always feel like I’m given honest advice at good prices. Would definitely recommend their service to a friend.

Even though I live in Chesterfield/​Midlothian I still find it worth it to drive over the bridge and go here. We just get the best service, my husband says they know what they are doing and don’t try to upsell. The big problem I have with Autohouse, Volvo and the Audi place is that they are not good at Diagnostic. They fix one or two of the wrong things before they get to the thing that was really causing the problem. The diagnostics and the prices are the best here. PERIOD. That’s all I can say. We drive our cars until they drop, so we must have honest and reliable mechanics. So, we go here.

Our car battery was dying and we needed to get it changed. After researching prices in the area (our dealer, Advanced, Interstate, etc), Carroll’s offered the best price (for an Interstate battery) plus they were able to see us the same day. We dropped off the car and it was ready for pick up a few hours later. The staff was very nice and the shop was clean. Extra bonus for us… they are right in the museum district!
