I ordered from here because this place had the best reviews out of the other cheap, quick Chinese delivery places. 1 star for bland lo mein and bland crab rangoons. I had to salt the lomein myself and it tasted like I was eating noodles just marinated in water.

I order from here pretty often, mostly because my roommate likes the variety of different vegetarian options more then the place I actually do like to order from Fu-jian. Their crab rangoon barley has anything in them its mostly just the wonton pastry. The meals have very little protein in them. The lady that usually answers the phone is also extremely rude the majority of the time. However their delivery guys are usually very pleasant and if you order a decent sized order they bring you a pretty lil calender! Delivery is fast and they’re super cheap. Walking into the place its a bit grungy looking, but thats most low budget Chinese takeout places, or really take out places in general.

This food is inedible. I actually tried to like it because I was so hungry, but it is really truly awful. The cold sesame noodles are smothered in peanut butter. SMOTHERED. The vegetable dumplings are mushy and filled with bland cabbage. The curry bean curd, also bland, unseasoned, mushy vegetables and soft tofu. Like someone put curry powder in oil, let it sit on the stove for 3 hours and called it a day. The vegetable wonton soup was actually not horrible, but I can’t get the strange aftertaste out of my mouth. Save your money! China Dragon is cheaper and better quality!

all the mock poultry, beef, etc is amazing. You can’t get any mock Chinese food anywhere else in the city… especially made like this. Good prices. Nestled in the museum district, the wait time is short and transactions are quick.

I’ve eaten here a few times, I always get the food to go though. The restaurant area is rundown, crowded and not inviting. However, the food is pretty good. Richmond needs to work on their Chinese food but China panda is our go to place for Chinese food. I recommend the shrimp lo mein!

one of my favorite places to get takeout from they have a extensive menu as well as a large amount of vegetable dishes for vegetarians. Friendly staff and the food is some of the better chinese american food I ve had. They are typically very fast to mabe only 20 minutes.

It’s not awful, but it’s not amazing. I ordered the pineapple mock chicken, vegetable wonton soup and the veggie rolls. The rolls were probably the best item, which isn’t saying much since they basically tasted like Costco appetizers. The soup was ok but really salty. The main dish was odd: the chicken(mock) tasted pretty good, but the sauce had a weird, almost dish watery flavor. If it gives you any idea, I didn’t eat the leftovers. If the customer service was a little friendlier they’d get a third star. But curtness+mediocre food=2 stars. My advice: spend a few dollars more and hit up «My Noodle and Bar”(not to be confused with«My Fan Noodle»…dunno wth is going on there). You won’t regret it.

Very fast delivery. Free delivery. The woman that took my order and the delivery man were courteous. The vegan Kung Pao chicken was pretty good, but not on the same level as another I’ve tried. It came with a side of rice. The Chinese donuts, essentially beignets, were incredible. Better than Café Du Monde, in my opinion. I wish they offered half-size orders because I can’t finish it on my own. They were good the next day, but no where as good as they are on arrival.

Simply put, I NEVER order Chinese food anywhere else. For 5 years now, I’ve been a loyal China Panda customer and they never disappoint! Their food is always fresh, never greasy or oily, always delicious! One night I was craving Chinese food and they were closed. I tried another restaurant and I can’t express how very disappointed I was with that experience. It only solidified my allegiance to the Panda. I’ve enjoyed their lo mein, spicy sesame beef, a variety of chicken dishes, and their noodle soups are fantastic! The hot and sour soup is in almost every order I place, it’s full of deliciousness and I highly recommend it if you’re under the weather. The doughnuts are a huge serving for a tasty indulgence.

My co-workers and I use to order from here all the time, never had a problem. When we tried to order take-out today, an EXTREMELYRUDE woman answered the phone. She was short with me right off the bat. I was having a hard time understanding her when I tried to order Mock Sweet and Sour Chicken. What I gathered is that it was too much trouble to make and that they no longer serve it. After she proceeded to yell this at me I tried placing the rest of my order, she then kept bringing up that they no longer serve mock chicken even though our other orders had no mock chicken. Once I was done my friend decided to try and ask about the mock chicken since I was having a hard time understanding. Once that horrible conversation was over, she called my cell phone back to continue to scream at me about the mock chicken, so I decided to cancel my order. She said she was going to cancel it anyway, I said thank you and hung up(I didn’t want to continue being yelled at). She then called me again and continued to yell at me and told me that we can never order from them again. In short: Do not order from here, the customer service is terrible, they do not deserve your money.

This place is legit. Super close by where I live. Convenient, clean, and fast. I’ve ordered the spring rolls, veggie fried rice, soups, house entrees, etc. Not disappointed or dissatisfied yet. If you need that fast Wednesday meal, this is the place to go! Healthy options too!

Solid Chinese by american standards. Of course its not gourmet. If you want chinese, don’t feel like getting your ass off the couch, have had one too many beers, or have had six too many beers this is the place.

If you want excellent Chinese within the confines of the city, go to China Panda. Their food is affordable, amazing and well-prepared. Try the Singapore rice noodles with your choice of meat or veggies– delicious, and a hard find at most Chinese places. When you do eat in, the woman who seems to be running things is an excellent hostess and brings you everything you need with a smile. The only reason I’m not giving China Panda 5 stars is because the walk-in/eat-in area is a total wreck! The tables are never clean, in fact the whole place looks like it needs a deep cleaning, there’s always boxes or some kind of food prep going on in the seating area. the soda cooler is filthy and always half empty, the windows are stained and greasy… I know, I know– they’re a Chinese take out place. However, sometimes you might be at VMFA or taking a walk or something, and you get the urge to sit down and have a good meal, and you want Chinese, so you go to China Panda because you *know* it’s good… and then sit there trying not to touch anything because literally every inch of the place is grimy, greasy and dusty! One day of deep cleaning, new tables and chairs, and a coat of fresh paint would do wonders for this place.

First — a disclaimer: My 5-star rating is not intended to say that this is one of the best restaurants in the city. Rather, I think you need to judge them in their context — Chinese take-out. And in the city of Richmond, these guys are simply the best, hands-down. It’s the quality of the food. Whoever is in the kitchen just clearly cares about their job more than their competition. Their prices are in line with their competition, and I’ve never had a meal that I wasn’t completely satisfied with. Who else are you going to order from? Fu Jian? Good Taste? Might as well just pay someone to poop in your mouth. China Panda is legit!

This place is exactly what you expect from a Chinese takeout restaurant. It’s simple, cheap, fast, and tasty. Highly recommend. Yes, you can go to a fancy restaurant and better food, but if you live in the Fan, look no further for better Chinese takeout.

Ordered chicken fried rice, general tsos, crispy beef, and egg rolls. Standard Chinese delivery. They added free donuts to my order and left a little note! Awesome :)

I stopped by China Panda for a quick meal during the week. I ordered General TSO chicken with fried rice. The chicken and fried rice was good but nothing over the top. It’s best to call ahead so you can avoid waiting. The food was reasonably priced. Parking can be a hassle since the restaurant is located in the busy section of the fan. China Panda is a solid spot for Chinese food in the fan.

This is not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, but it’s cheap, delicious, open late, and pretty quick. It’s my go-to in the museum district for Chinese food. While there is a dine-in area, it’s small, and you won’t get table-side service. Probably a good idea to not count on seating, especially on a busy Friday night. Not really a lot else to say here — if you’re in the area and want Chinese, hit it up.

China Panda never fails… they always provide good Chinese food. I haven’t tried too many dishes as I am always a General Tso’s chicken gal. All orders have been fresh taking and yummy. Someone recommend the mock dishes and I have to say they aren’t that great, BUT I am cool with meat, so I would rather have the chicken. If you aren’t able to eat the chicken, the mock dishes are probably great… know what I mean? So bottom line, China Panda is a great place for take out Chinese. Cheers!

Fantastic for takeout Basically, this place is fast, the food is good and its cheap. I come here every time I do laundry over at Sylvia’s suds and stitches out of convenience. It seems like most people get takeout, but they do have a couple tables to eat in at and the staff are pretty cool people to to talk to. The service is really fast if you just walk in to order. I usually get my food within 15 minutes. The pork or chicken is on par with the food I like to make at home. Takeout usually come in under $ 10. Service 5⁄5 Food 3⁄5 Value 5⁄5
