Not much going on the store. However they did have a selection of knives and swords. The gentleman running stores seem to be very knowledgeable.

Celtic Home and Hearth is a wonderful family-owned store in historic downtown Richmond. The staff are very knowledgeable with ancestry of both Irish and Scottish descent, and if they don’t know the answer to a question you may have, they will find out for you. The inventory they carry is vast, and there is a little bit for everyone! Kilts and sporrans, historic, high-quality swords(without the high price!), children’s toys, clothing(both modern and historical), bumper stickers, jewelry(so much jewelry!), wedding décor, drums, music, household décor, kitchen items… and the list just goes on and on. They also carry authentic Irish, Welsh, and Scottish food items, such as haggis and bangers. They also do custom orders on kilts and can order just about any product you may be searching for. Celtic Home and Hearth was just recently renovated(reopened late June 2013 to celebrate 10 year anniversary), so if you haven’t been in recently, I highly recommend stopping by. The redesign has really opened up the space and created a nice, open flow to the store. Great store, great staff, and unbeatable prices.

Celtic Home & Hearth is a pretty good Celtic shop. Selection wise, this shop has a pretty big inventory… including bagpipes and practice chanters, leather sporans, Scottish and Irish foods(yeah, they have bangers and haggis in stock…), beautiful jewelery, costumes, and even swords. Prices are reasonable, and significantly cheaper than Rennfair. The staff is very friendly and honest.
